Abstract

The title of this thesis is the Role of assistant of Social Service and Rehabilitation Unit (UPRS) of West Kalimantan in Improving Child Learning Motivation. In this study the problem formulation is how the role of assistant of UPRS West Kalimantan in improving children's learning motivation. The formulation of the problem translated into several sub issues, namely how assistant of UPRS West Kalimantan gives attention in motivating children's learning, how assistant of UPRS West Kalimantan gives reward in motivating children's learning, how assistant UPRS West Kalimantan provides penalties for motivating children's learning. The aims of this study are to determine and describe the role undertaken by assistant of UPRS West Kalimantan in improving motivation to learn, by giving attention, appreciation, and punishment. This research uses descriptive method with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study are using observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants in this study are 8 people.The results of this study indicate that the role performed is good enough, giving attention, such as giving advice to children to study, supervise when children is studying such as reminding children when it is time to study. Give awards such as giving a gift if the child gets good grades, until punishment.

Abstract

This thesis is entitled: social control by parents in the use of smartphones in children who are still in school at Madrasah Aliyah Babussalam Peniraman Pinyuh River District. The general problem of this research is social control by parents in the use of smartphones in children who are still in school at Madrasah Aliyah Babussalam Peniraman Pinyuh River sub-district. Sub problem in this research is 1: How persuasive social control by parents of children in the use of smartphones 2: How repressive social control by parents of children in the use of smartphones 3: How curative social control by parents of children in the use of smartphones. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Observation data collection techniques, interviews and documentation study with data collection tool guide observation, interviews, books and archival records. Informal in this study are the parents and children. The positive impact for children to use the smartphone as to facilitate the child to seek material from school assignments, and berkomonikasi. But the negative impact of such children concentrate less on learning, lazy learning. The results of this research show that parents have been doing social control in children berifat persuasive, repressive and curative. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to Analysis Character Forms in the Use of Social Media in Pontianak City Junior High School Students (Case Study in Public and Private Junior High Schools) the character shape of students in the use of social media, is good, namely, students are able to discipline and be responsible regarding the use of social media both at school and outside school. The form of character taught to public and private junior high school students in Pontianak always be honest, disciplined, and responsible, protecting themselves from negative social media. Social media that are often used by public and private junior high school students in Pontianak, what's an app, Facebook, Instagram, and online games. The impact of the use of social media on state and private junior high school students in Pontianak City, for schools students, are given extra supervision so that social media misuse does not occur.

Abstract

One of the most important character traits that must be developed for the youth is responsibility. Responsibility is marked by how well people make choices in life and how people deal with the results.Responsible people purposefully choose their attitudes, words and actions, and accept responsibility for the consequences of these choices. Responsibility is not obtained from born. It needs a complex virtue, requiring much time, patience and practice to acquire. To teach teens responsibility, parents must focus on two dimensions of being responsible, which are thinking critically about a situation and making decisions about a situation. Both are skill sets that can greatly enhance teen self responsibility and also responsibility to the family and to society. This article is the literature review on how to teach responsibilities to the youth particularly teenagers

Abstract

This research is to describe the difficulties of student learning to improve the achievement of sociology subject matter, the are: 1). the difficulties of student in learning sociology, 2). the effort of teacher to handle the difficulties of student dificulties, 3). how is the result of student to learning sociology. The instrument used in this research are observation, interview and documentation. The results show, 1). there were some internal and external factors of student barriers, 2). the effort had been done by teacher include to diagnose problems, 3). help student to motivate their habit in learning. Moreover teacher effort to diagnosis  difficulties of learning more comprehend, do evaluation to determine of learning difficulties, 3). the achievement showed in mid test, there are student with less average of 70.Key Words: The Difficulties Learning Factor, Achrevement Of Study.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of implementing the personal competence of lecturers in carrying out the lecturing process comprising aspects of steady and stable, mature, wise, noble and role models for student. This research uses, descriptive method ferifikatif the form of case studies with the number of respondents as many as 80 people. The results of this study indicate that the majority of 95% of lecturers, in courses of study Sociology Education FKIP University Tanjongpura already own and carry personal competence well in the lecture students, comprising, aspects 1) Steady and Stable, 2) Adults, 3) Arif, 4) authoritative, 5) and a good moral example for students.Keywords: Personality Competence Education Lecturer Sociology.

Abstract

This research entitled “Family Role in Preventing Child Marrriage at SP 1 Merbang Village in Belitang Hilir District”. Main problem in this research is: how is parents’ role in performing family affection function, socialization function, and social monitoring function in preventing child marriage at SP 1 Merbang Village in Belitang Hilir District. This research aims to find out the family role in preventing child marriage at SP 1 Merbang Village in Belitang Hilir District. Method used was qualitative with descriptive analysis. Data collecting tools used were observation guide, interview guide, and document. The results were. (1) parents role in performing family affection role was by giving attention and affection to the children, and giving supporting advice toward the problems. (2) family socialization functioned to apply values and norms by teaching politeness, good deeds, and never hit the children. (3) family social monitoring functioned to monitor children’s daily social intercourse, friends of the same age, mobile phone usage, and restrict the night activity.Keywords: Family Role, Marriage of Young Age.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses Penerapan Model Discoveryy Learning oleh guru dalam proses pembelajaran (Studi pada Tim Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran Sosiologi/MGMP) di Kota Pontianak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif verifikatif dengan bentuk penelitian studi kasus, dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 40 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, 1) Sebagian besar para guru di MGMP Sosiologi di kota Pontianak telah menerapkan Model pembelajaran Discovery Learning melalui Sintak dalam proses Pembelajaran Sosiologi secara optimal. 2) Sebagian besar para guru di MGMP Sosiologi di kota Pontianak telah menerapkan Model pembelajaran Discovery Learning melalui Sintak dalam proses Pembelajaran Sosiologi secara optimal.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study, titled Impact of tourism development in the village of Sand Mangrove Park, District Mempawah Hilir Regency Mempawah. With the problem of how the form of livelihoods, theeconomic condition of the community after the development, and social relations that exist around mangrove forest tourism. This research method is a qualitative research approach. This type of research is a case study. The words and actions of the person being interviewed or observed are the main data sources. The main data sources are recorded through written records or through video / audio tapes recording, taking photos or films. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and study of documentation. Analysis of the data used is data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: The impact of social change in terms of livelihoods and economic conditions is very beneficial to the community because of the development of the mangrove park tourism can increase people's income and livelihood of the community also increased where the livelihood of the community initially farmers or fishermen can also workas parking attendants, traders or crossing services and in terms of social relations also the community in the area is very good.

Abstract

Sampai dengan awal tahun 2011 ini, berbagai saluran media massa masih sering memberitakan fenomena-fenomena kemerosotan moral, pergesera nilai, kekerasan, intimidasi, dan pelanggaran aturan-aturan. Fenomena negatif yang berkepanjangan tersebut menjadi salah satu penyebab tergerusnya nilai-nilai masyarakat. Para guru yang mempunyai tanggung jawab untuk mengantarkan anak didiknya menjadi manusia yang pintar dan baik, terjebak hanya pada usaha mencetak generasi pintar mengejar perolehan skor tinggi dalam ujian. Pengajar matematika pun seakan tidak mempunyai tanggung jawabnya untuk membina dan mengembangkan potensi-potensi afektual siswa untuk membentuk karakter peserta didik yang terpuji. Matematika masih dianggap sebagai materi pelajaran yang bebas nilai. Hasil Penelusuran pada berbagai sumber menunjukkan adanya kaitan erat antara matematika yang diajarkan di sekolah dengan berbagai aktivitas dan hasil budaya masyarakat maupun fenomena alam. Penerapan atau pengintegrasian budaya atau fenomena alam dalam pembelajaran matematika dipandang dapat dijadikan wahana untuk membelajarkan nilai moral dan karakter yang baik kepada peserta didik. Sudah saatnya bagi para pendidik matematika untuk merevitalisasi pembelajarannya mengambil bagian dalam membangun karakter yang baik (good character) kepada peserta didik sebagai penerus keberlangsungan bangsa.
