Journal of Applied Nursing and Health (JANH) (Prefix DOI: 10.55018) has published its first volume with p-ISSN: 2657-1609 (SK LIPI: 0005.26571609/JI.3.1/SK.ISSN/2019.05) in 2019 and e-ISSN: 2809-3208 (SK LIPI 005.28093208/K.4/SK.ISSN/2021.12) in 2021. JANH is a health journal that publishes scientific papers for nurses, health academics, and other health practitioners. This journal is published regularly in June and December every year. The Journal of Applied Nursing and Health (JANH) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal. JANH hopes to be able to contribute to increasing evidence-based knowledge in the realm of nursing and health, JANH hopes to be useful and used by the community to improve a better quality of life which in turn has the potential and impact on the advancement of knowledge in nursing and health practice. All JANH papers have a solid, critical, and scientifically sound scientific, evidence, theoretical or philosophical basis in their approach.

Background: Patients with mental disorders experience disturbances in mental function, which include emotions, thoughts, behavior, motivation, self-perception, and perception, which causes a decrease in all mental functions, especially interests, and motivations so that it interferes with a person in the process of living in society. One o the most common mental disorders is schizophrenia. This study aims to study the effect of classical music therapy on depression level in schizophrenic patients at the Soeprapto Mental Hospital, Bengkulu Province Methods: The design in this study used a pre-experimental design. The design form of a pre-experimental study is "pre-test and post-test One Group Design". The population in this study were Schizophrenic patients who experienced depression. The sample used in this study was taken using a purposive sampling technique. This technique is a sampling technique with certain considerations, obtained as many as 25 patients. Data collection in this study used univariate and bivariate analysis using the normality test using the Shapiro Wilk test. Results: The results obtained before providing classical music therapy treatment from 25 Schizophrenic patients had a very severe level of depression with a percentage of (100%) and the results after classical music therapy treatment showed that the level of schizophrenia patients who experienced depression after classical music therapy treatment was 7 patients. The result shows that have a moderate level of depression with a percentage of 28% and 18 patients have a level of severe depression with a percentage of 72%. Based on the results of the Paired sample t-test statistical test there is a significant relationship, the value of t = 20,953 with p = 0.000 <0.05 means significant, so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, it can be concluded that there is an effect of using classical music therapy on the level of depression in schizophrenic patients. at RSKJ Soeprapto Bengkulu Province. Conclusion: Based on the result of research there is an effect of using classical music therapy on the level of depression in schizophrenic patients. at RSKJ Soeprapto Bengkulu Province

Background: Indonesia is one of the countries with the highest disaster risk in the world, because according to the 2017 World Risk Index, Indonesia ranks 33rd in the world compared to other countries. According to data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), there were 2,572 natural disaster events in 2018 and 2,862 events in 2017. This study aims to determine the booklet media counseling on increasing disaster risk knowledge among adolescents at the Pancasila Islamic Boarding School in Bengkulu City Methods: This research is a quantitative study, using a pre-experimental design using a one group pets and posttest design. The population in this study were high school students of Pancasila Islamic Boarding School in grades 10 and 11 in science and social studies. There were 33 students. The sampling technique in this study used Accidental sampling Results: The results of the study were obtained: (1) Knowledge of the Pancasila Islamic boarding school students in Bengkulu city about the effect of booklet media counseling on increasing knowledge of disaster risk in adolescents Before being given booklet media, 31 people (93.9%) lacked knowledge and 2 people (6.1%) moderate knowledge. (2) Knowledge after high school students at Pancasila Islamic boarding school Bengkulu City About the effect of booklet media counseling on increasing knowledge of disaster risk in adolescents After being given a media booklet, 8 people (24.2%) lacked knowledge, 21 people (63.6%) had moderate knowledge and 4 people (12.1%) have good knowledge. (3) There is an effect of Knowledge of Media Booklet on increasing knowledge of Disaster Risk in adolescent students of Pancasila Islamic Boarding School Bengkulu City. Conclusion: Based on results of research there is an effect of Knowledge of Media Booklet on increasing knowledge of Disaster Risk in adolescent students of Pancasila Islamic Boarding School Bengkulu City.

Background: The Surgical Site Infection (SSI) is caused by several factors including surgery, invasive measures, equipment and use of antibiotics. The SSI is an infection problem that occurs in patients during the treatment process in hospitals or other health facilities. These infections that are obtained at the hospital both occur in patients when receiving care, health workers who work in hospitals and visitors to hospitals. The purpose of this research is to find out the relationship between Nurses Behavior and Prevention of in the Mokoyurli Hospital Surgery Room, Buol Regency.Methods: The design used in the study is crossectional analytic. The population is All Nurses in the Surgery Room. The sample size was 19 respondents using the Total Sampling technique. Independent variable of research is the behavior of hand washing. The dependent variable is prevention of infection. Data was collected using observation sheets, then the data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test with a significance level of α ≤ 0.05.Results: The results showed that more than half of the respondents had good hand washing behavior as many as 10 respondents (52.6), Enough as many as 7 respondents (36.8%), Less as many as 2 respondents (10.5%). Non-infectious events were 14 respondents (73.3%), and the incidence of infection was 5 respondents (26.3%). The results of statistical tests obtained p = 0.023 with <0.05, which means that there is a significant relationship to the variable handwashing behavior with infection.Conclusion: Washing hands during the implementation of nursing actions is the most effective way to prevent the occurrence of the Surgical Site Infection in the hospital environment.

Background: Treatment of low-birth-weight babies so far has mostly used incubators and swaddled babies using cloth whenever possible using the kangaroo method. While the kangoro method can be done if the mother and baby are both stable. Another way that can be done is to use a polyethylene blanket. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of polyethylene on the incidence of hypothermia in LBW. Methods: This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with Pre-Posttest Only Control Design, a sample of 60 LBW infants was taken by means of Systematic Random Sampling. Data collection techniques using the method of observation. Statistical analysis using the General Linear Model with a significant level of : 0.05 Results: The results obtained in this study are based on the overall analysis obtained p-value 0.000 <0.05, it can be interpreted that giving blankets polyethylene to respondents is effective in increasing the temperature of infants and reducing the incidence of hypothermia. Furthermore, the results of research based on Partial Eta analysis can be seen that blankets made of polyethylene increase the body temperature of low-birth-weight babies by 91.1%, while the increase in the kangaroo method group with Partial Eta 0.861 by 86.1%. Conclusion: This means that the use of blankets made from polyethylene increases the temperature higher than the kangaroo method.

Background: Nurses have the longest contact in handling patient problems and the role of nurses in their efforts to heal patients is very important. A nurse was required to know the patient's condition and needs. Objective of Knowing the Effect of Health Education on Anxiety Levels in Pre-appendectomy Surgeons in Mokoyurli Buol Hospital Methods: The design was used in the study was pre-experiment one group pre-post-test. The population was all patients with appendectomy. The sample size was 37 respondents using Simple random sampling technique. Independent variable of research was health education. The dependent variable was the level of anxiety. Data were collected using a questionnaire, then the data were analyzed using Wilcoxon test with a significance level of α <0.05. Results: The results showed that 15 respondents who experienced an anxiety level decreased, and 22 respondents had a level of anxiety remained after the intervention. Based on the results of statistical tests it was found that p = 0,000 with a <0,05, which means that there was an effect of Health Education on the Anxiety Level to Patients with Pre-Appendectomy Surgery at Mokoyurli Buol Hospital Conclusion: There was a decrease in anxiety levels after Health Education because of the provision in information and orientation readiness, thus reducing the causes of anxiety such as lack of information and make causing anxiety.

Background: The problem of adolescent reproductive health is still a problem that needs attention. Many women experiences discomfort at the onset of menstruation, one of which is dysmenorrhea. Various attempts were made to relieve these symptoms is by acts of non-pharmacological such as exercise and giving chocolates. Purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the combination of chocolate and exercise to decrease menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) in adolescents in SMPN 1 Bangkalan Methods: This method uses a method Quasi Experiment using a control time series design. The population in this study were students of SMP Negeri 1 Bangkalan who experienced dysmenorrhea. The sampling technique used in this study was simple random sampling with inclusion and exclusion criteria of 54 respondents who were divided into two groups with 27 respondents in each group. Results: The results showed that there was an effect of exercise and chocolate on decreasing menstrual pain with a sig value of 0.050 0.05 and an OR value of 5.263. In addition, there are also other factors that influence the decrease in menstrual pain, namely BMI with a sig value of 0.032 0.05 and an OR value of 0.214. Conclusion: there is an effect between the combination of exercise and chocolate in reducing menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea).

Background: Patients with a risk of falls are one of the risks of unwanted incidents within the hospital. The risk of the patient falling until an incident has an adverse effect on the patient, one of the adverse effects is the impact of physical injury which includes abrasions, torn wounds, bruises, even in some cases severe falls can result in fractures, bleeding, and head injuries. Objective To find out the relationship between Caring Behavior of Nurses and Patient Safety Risk of Falling in the Surgical Treatment Room of Mokoyurli Regional Hospital, Buol Regency Methods: The research method used in the study is cross sectional. The population is all patient patients at risk of falling. The sample size is 67 respondents using purposive sampling technique. Independent variable of research is Caring Behavior. The dependent variable is the Patient safety risk of falling. Data was collected using a questionnaire, then the data were analyzed using the Spearman Rho test, with a significance level of p value < 0.05. The results showed that the nurse caring nurse was quite good as many as 35 respondents (52.2%), patient safety risk fell that was enough as many as 30 respondents (4.8%). Results: The results showed that p = 0,000 with α=0.05, which means that there is a relationship between the Caring Behavior of Nurses and Patient Safety in Falling Risk in Mokoyurli Regional General Hospital Treatment Room in Buol District. Conclusion: Nurse Caring Behavior with Patient Safety The Risk of Falling has a significant relationship because caring behavior give direct caring and responsive in each patient condition

Background: The absence of proper sanitation and clean water in sufficient quantities is the beginning of the emergence of various health problems in the community. One of the difficulties in accessing clean water is in the Sipare-pare village area, in this village, it is still a problem that the water used by the community contains a mixture of oil so that it is said to be unfit for daily use and can disturb and endanger health. This study aims to determine the description of clean water sanitation in Sipare-pare Village, Merbau District, Labuhan Batu Utara Regency Methods: The research design uses a quantitative approach with descriptive research type, the sampling technique used is the accidental sample. Methods of collecting data through in-depth interviews and observations with a cross-sectional research design. The data analysis used in this research is using univariate analysis. The research was conducted in Sipare-pare Village, Merbau District, Labuhan Batu Utara Regency Results: The results of the research conducted by the research team on 100 respondents found that clean water sanitation facilities in Pare-Pare Village are still said to be not good because there are still people whose water conditions are not clear or cloudy. Conclusion: For the quantity of water discharge sufficient to meet daily needs, in washing activities, the community uses water from drilled wells and dug wells, in contrast to the source of water used for cooking from PDAM water and for drinking water purchased refills, the water consumed is cooked. first and there are skin diseases and diarrhea caused by the consumption of clean water

Background: Cases related to adolescent health have increased during the COVID-19 pandemic. Midwives have a very important role in conducting counseling related to adolescent health. This is a form of commitment in fulfilling the right to health of adolescents. The role of the midwife is stated in terms of reproductive health in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 28 of 2017 concerning Permits and Implementation of Midwifery Practices article 21a. The purpose of this research is to know the role of midwives in the implementation of adolescent counseling as the fulfillment of adolescent reproductive health rights.Methods: Qualitative research methods, with a sociological juridical approach. The study used in-depth interviews with midwife and adolescent informants. The research was conducted from May to June 2021. Data analysis was carried out by qualitative data analysisResults: The results of the study show that BIdans have carried out their authority and obligations in the role of counselors based on the Midwifery Law Number 4 of 2019 and the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 28 of 2017 concerning Permits and Implementation of Midwifery Practices article 21a. The role of midwives in the implementation of adolescent counseling is to increase knowledge of reproductive health as a fulfillment of adolescent reproductive health rights. Midwives are implementers of youth health service programsConclusion: Reproductive health rights in adolescents based on the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) in Cairo in 1994 there are 12 rights of which 11 reproductive health rights have been well fulfilled.

Background: Maternal Mortality Rate (AKI) is one of the efforts to assess the degree of public health. One of the problems associated with maternal mortality is pregnancy problems that should be avoided. Pregnancy problems can be detected early from the presence of danger signs in pregnancy. One of the factors that influences mothers knowing the danger signs of pregnancy is the mother's knowledge. From the preliminary study conducted there is still a difference in knowledge between primigravida and multigravida mothers about the danger signs of pregnancy in Seririt I Health Center. The purpose is to find out the difference in knowledge between primigravida and multigravida mothers about the danger signs of pregnancy in Seririt I Health Center..Methods: Research methods is Comparative Study with a cross sectional approach. The population is primigravida and multigravida pregnant women in Seririt I Health Center in 2021, with purposive sampling and obtained a sample of 52 respondents. The research instrument used is a questionnaire. The results of the study were then analyzed with an independent T-test.Results: The results of the analysis showed no difference in knowledge between primigravid mothers and multigravidas about pregnancy danger signs in Seririt 1 Health Center with a p-value of 0.000 and p-value of 0.0160 so that p-value>α 0.05.Conclusion: Conclusion there is no difference in knowledge between primigravida and multigravid mothers about the danger signs of pregnancy.
