Abstract

“Senang Bertemu Denganmu” is a fictional film that tells the story of Mega, a young man who found out a mysterious diary in his mother's inherited house. Gradually. In films, sound can liven up the atmosphere to create the feeling of sadness, joy, anger and fear. In general, the sound in films consists of two types, namely diegetic sound and non-diegetic sound which includes dialogue, sound effects and music. One of the types of musical scale that can cause a quiet and sad atmosphere is a minor diatonic. The minor diatonic is music that uses seven basic notes, namely la, si, do, re, mi, fa, sol, and la. Music with minor diatonic scales can create a quiet and sad atmosphere, based on the theory of diegetic sound which is all the elements of sound in the film, including dialogue, sound effects and ambiance. Diegetic sound helps to create the quiet and sad atmosphere that occurs in the film “Senang Bertemu Denganmu”. The results of the diegetic sound theory can provide a more detailed sound through the foley technique so that after all the elements of the diegetic sound are combined with the accompaniment of minor diatonic music combined with the strains of a piano, the quiet and sad atmosphere in the film “Senang Bertemu Denganmu” can be realized. Therefore, it can convey an impression and message to the audience.

Abstract

Mockumentary movie is a fiction movie that takes the form or look like a documentary. The form of the movie is able to simulate the style of a documentary movie to tell a form of narrative in particular. The use of the mockumentary style aims to refract between reality and non-reality in other words which want to present something that is not real but looks real. The movie “A Piece Of Flower” raised the issue of sexual violence. The concept of editing that will be applied is to give the impression of reality through the application of the technique of editing aspects rhythmic. Aspects of the rhythmic system is in control of the length of the short shot so that an editor will be able to control the rhythm of the editing in accordance with the needs of the movie. The process of the creation of the movie is based on the existence of the issue sexual violence that happened among the next of kin, departing from the issues that formed the object creation in the form of building the impression of reality through the mockumentary movie entitled “A Piece Of Flower”. The method of creation of works of the movie “A Piece Of Flower” of course, through the stages of pre-production, production and post-production. In post production there is the process of editing or editing image around. The editing process is a process of organize, review, select and combine the “footage” of the image and sound recording production. On the work of the movie “A Piece Of Flower” the application of the technique of editing aspects of rhythmic used to build the impression of reality through the emotional emphasis of the audience. In this emphasis, emotional audience built through the application of the duration or timing. timing is a part of the rhythmic function to determine the average duration used in each shot. The formation of emotional in editing is also influenced by two types of rhythm that is the rhythm of the internal and external. With the application of the technique of editing aspects of rhythmic expected to be able to convey the concept of editing that has been designed so that the messages in the movie can be delivered.

Abstract

In movie’s development, the type of movie continues to grow make a new forms of movie and one of them is a form of fiction movie with the documentary look called mockumentary. Here, a mockumentary will be used to raise sexual violence issue, specifically rape in a fictional movie entitled “Sepenggal Kisah Bunga”. The form of mockumentary movie was chosen to present a different viewing feeling for the audience and it is hoped that this movie can increase public awareness of the importance of this issue today. In the process to make this movie, the author pass three stages. First one Pre-production. This is the stage of all preparations before shooting. Continue with production which is the process of shooting the movie and the last one is the post-production stage which is the stage of processing raw audio and video into the final product of the movie. In this movie to present a mockumentary the author makes a story about an amateur YouTuber who makes a movie about a father whose child is raped. In addition, the author also makes the visuals presented like visual from character's camera. The writer who is also an actor in the movie takes the necessary shots to make the character of an amateur YouTuber more alive. The style of storytelling in this movie is also adapted to the form of an interactive documentary that presents interviews and interactions from the moviemaker with the subject. The story and visuals are presented to produce a movie in mockumentary form entitled “Sepenggal Kisah Bunga”. The author hopes that the message in the movie about big impact of rape on the victim and also the importance of the presence of the family for the victim can be told properly through this movie.

Abstract

The phenomenon of pregnancy out of wedlock spreads because the association among teenagers today can be said to be concerning because of the proliferation of promiscuity which has an impact on the behavior of free sex. This results in the emotions of the perpetrator or in this case the couple outside of marriage being unbalanced, due to their young age. This can be dangerous if emotions are able to express or display behavior in accordance with what feelings he is experiencing. The editing concept that will be applied is to build the emotions of the cast's characters by applying rhythmic and spatial aspects of editing techniques in the film entitled “Genismara”. The process of creating this film through various methods, the first is a data search method by observing film works with the application of rhythmic and spatial techniques, the second is documentation of books, journals, theses. This is done to find out the sound or understanding of rhythmic and spatial techniques, after which it is continued with the method of creation, namely pre-production, production and post-production. This method is carried out to apply or implement rhythmic and spatial techniques. The results of the application of rhythmic and spatial techniques are, the two techniques have different ways of applying, the rhythmic aspect is the aspect that is able to control the length of the duration of a shot in other words emphasizing a moment, while spatial is manipulating the dimensions of the shot, when the two techniques are combined and matched. the scene scene 5, scene 7 scene 8 scene 14, scene 15, scene 16, scene 17, scene 20, scene 21, scene 22, scene 23 will generate or embody an emotion that build emotional character actor like tranquility, doubts and Fright.

Abstract

Sound design/system is a way for managing and taking advantage of a sound source, it corresponds to the need for a particular purpose, like movies. “Sepenggal Kisah Bunga” is a short fiction movie which falls into a genre of drama. The author who is the sound designer for this film uses the application of acousmatic for developing dimension of space. The purpose of the use of acousmatic is for building the dimension of space to bring the audience closer to the setting of the film, with the result that this work seems real. The author believes in the concept, that it can relay the message well and experiences that the film is real. The implementation of acousmatic is to build the dimensions of space, using a variety of sound dialogue and sound effects, also with sound accuracy which matches the main sound elements of the story setting. Acousmatic means sound that is heard without looking at its origin. During production, the author recorded the analog process and the acousmatic sound effects themselves. However, most of the sound recording process for acousmatic is done during post-production. After all the sounds are gathered it enters the timeline mixing, the author does the editing process with effects to match the main sound elements of the story settings. The author also believes by using audio output 5.1 channel system, which strengthens the usage of acousmatic in building dimensional space. Therefore the author uses the audio output in this film. The author ensures that the use of sound effects and dialogue is not visible in the mise en scene with the sound accuracy that it sounds precise to the setting of the story, hence it shall build the dimension of space. In this movie, you could hear the sound of birds chirping, the dog’s bark, and other pet’s sound. As well as the sound of the surrounding environment that the author created, like the sound of neighbors chatting, and people doing their activities. These sounds are the implementation of acousmatic to build the dimensions of space. With that, the author believes that it can bring the film setting closer to the audiences and make the movie “Sepenggal Kisah Bunga” feel real.

Abstract

Every film has its own concept or characteristic, whether it's the characteristics of the director or writer scenario. The application of these directing characteristics can make an impression on the audience by remembering the uniqueness of a film and the uniqueness of the film. A characteristic can be channeled through a concept. This is what motivated the author to apply the concept of Italian neorealism in the making of the short film “Kala Rau: Hari Ini Matahari Pergi Bersembunyi”. As a form of directing style that is close and represents the vision and mission that the author wants to convey to the audience. The short film “Kala Rau: Hari Ini Matahari Pergi Bersembunyi”tells the story of Sri a child who has lost his father since he was young and has a curiosity about the cause of his father's departure. Sri accompanied by Ketut began his search for his father when a solar eclipse occurred. On the way, Sri finds many things that are blocking her father's absence. The method applied in the implementation of the directing style Italian neorealism which is emphasized in its application is the selection of roles, the structure of the story packaging, and the selection of shooting locations. The results of this creation show that the overall application of the directing style is Italian neorealism able to present an educative message from the short film “Kala Rau: Hari Ini Matahari Pergi Bersembunyi”.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic is a phenomenon that is happening all over the world, especially in Bali, the Covid-19 disease that causes the virus to suddenly enter the human body. Currently, the government is actively trying to vaccinate evenly to all people. The phenomenon of the Covid-19 pandemic became the basic idea in the film entitled "Gering". The author applies make-up using special effects techniques to exaggerate a character in a scene in the film and can build the emotional level of players in a scene mechanically and psychologically so that it looks real when shooting in turning human characters into monsters. The make-up theory used by the author to make the film “Gering” is aesthetics and mise en scene in terms of make-up. The aesthetic value in the film "Gering" is that the audience can feel the value of the horror of the monster in one of the scenes. The value of mise en scene in the film "Gering" is found in the makeup that can distinguish humans and monsters in a scene. The method used to make the film “Gering” is a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The source of the data obtained to complete the making of the film “Gering” is the observation of the fungus ophiocordysecps which can support the realization of special effects makeup. The application of make-up special effects is a technique to make a scene or event real and used in an injury scene without injuring the player. The process of making mustard makeup starts from mutation changes in the form of rashes to the appearance of rooted bumps. The results of the special effects makeup in the movie "Gering" show several forms of wounds on each monster, including abrasions, bruises, bloodstains, lumps filled with roots, and changes in the structure of the eyes. Outcome Film "Gering" with a duration of 25 minutes is a thriller drama genre, which has a message for people to be more introspective and always take care of their health and the environment.

Abstract

The fictional film entitled “Senang Bertemu Denganmu” describe the inner conflict of a young man after getting to know someone without an encounter. The young man also got several answers to questions that he had not known throughout his life. The inner conflict is illustrated by the graphic of Hudson's story. There are 6 acts in the graphic so the editor must be able to adjust the rhythm in each scene to strengthen the dramatic ladder of the film. The formulation of the problem that arises is how to apply the rhythmic aspect of editing to strengthen the dramatic ladder of the film "Senang Bertemu Denganmu". The purpose of this creation is to find out the application of editing theory, especially the rhythmic aspect to strengthen the dramatic ladder in the film. Theoretically, this creation can provide benefits in the form of insight in applying rhythmic aspect editing to a film work. In this creation, a data collection method in the form of observation was carried out by reviewing several film and library research. The method of creation of course through the stages of pre-production, production and post-production. The theory of rhythmic aspect of editing is the main theory used. This theory allows the editor to set the length of the short duration of a shot. The editor uses the duration of the shot to emphasize a certain moment so that the information in a shot can be conveyed properly to the audience. This theory is supported by timing and pacing theory. The results of the application of rhythmic aspect editing are found in 9 scenes which are divided into each round of the film. The editing rhythm gives a deeper impact to the characters in the film. When the character feels lonely, it is described with a slow rhythm to emphasize the inner conflict that is being experienced. On the other hand, when the character is experiencing anxiety, the cutting and moving shots quickly is done to impress the character's emotional leap. With various shot durations, the rhythm of editing from the introduction to the end can help to strengthen the dramatic ladder in the film.

Abstract

The film “Getir” tells the story of a Balinese woman who is in an inharmonious marriage due to an extramarital affair. In the process of writing the screenplay, this film applies the story structure of Dan Harmon Story Circle. Dan Harmon Story Circle is an alternative story structure with a characteristic that divides the story into eight stages experienced by the main character. The application of this story structure aims to highlight the changes that occur in the main character. This can be seen from the comparison of conditions at the beginning of the story starting to the end of the story. The scenario preparation process uses a method consisting of the preparation stage and the cultivation stage. The preparation stage starts from determining the idea, theme, story target to the plot. The stages of cultivation are carried out by compiling the premise, synopsis, character profile, writing treatment, to the scenario. In the process of writing the screenplay, the writer uses several theories to develop the scenario. The theories that the author uses are Elizabeth Lutter's Scriptwriting theory, Narrative, Dan Harmon Story Circle structure, and Stage of Grief. “Getir“ film scenario consists of 22 scenes, genre drama with a story duration of 20 minutes, taking the setting of the story in several places such as houses and traditional markets.

Abstract

When viewed from the point of view of film, of course, there are many films that raise the issue of LGBTQ people, especially Gay. Not only films abroad, films in Indonesia have now also dared to take up this theme. However, this is still difficult to become a public spectacle because it is still considered taboo or out of the norm that already exists in Indonesia itself. This incident occurred due to the lack of knowledge about these groups in society, as a result of this lack of knowledge led to a lot of acts of discrimination and inappropriate treatment in society regarding these people. With the discrimination and rejection from society, the Gays themselves have difficulty expressing themselves in the public. Make themselves look for other alternatives to be able to express themselves through Waacking and Ladies Style dance movements. With this phenomenon, the writer feels it is necessary to be appointed as a film. The process of making works begins with determining ideas, direct field observations (observations and interviews) on Gays, determining storylines, selecting actors, looking for supporting theories to be applied in film works, training with players, until the Final Editing stage. The creation of a work "2 Serupa" tells about several problems regarding the difficulty of expressing oneself, rejection from family, friends and society to sexual orientation which makes the main character have difficulty carrying out his daily activities. With the message that wants to be conveyed how should the treatment of the wider community and family be very influential on Gays so that they can feel the recognition they deserve.
