Abstract

Dates (Phoenix dactilyfera) contain chemical compositions that can be used as traditional medicine for Calcium oxalate of kidney stone decay. Compound in palm juice can make Calcium oxalate dissolving is flavonoid and calium . The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Palm dates juice dissolving calcium oxalate to determine the relationship between the concentration of dates palm juice with calcium solubility in kidney stones. To test its activities carried out in vitro using calcium oxalate which incubated for 3 hours with shaken out every 20 minutes at 37oC Determination of the solubility of calcium in date palm juice is by weighs insoluble calcium oxalate. Palm's juice concentration is divided into 60%, 50%, 40%, 30% and 20%. The results of these concentrations can be concluded that the juice of dates has the activity of dissolving calcium oxalate from kidney stones with average result weight in sequence 0.02 + 0.005 g; 0.02 + 0.005 g; 0.03 + 0.005 g; 0.04 + 0.005 g and 0.05 + 0.005 g. Positive control (batugin elixir) 60%, 50%,40%, 30% and 20% with in sequence result 0.08 + 0.001 g; 0.08 + 0.001 g; 0.08 + 0.005 g; 0.09 + 0.005 g; and 0.1 + 0.005 g. Negative Control result 0.11 g. The results obtained from the standard deviation are 0.031. Calcium oxalate that is not dissolved at most in the sample is 20% with an average of 0.05 + 0.005 g and the positive control is 20% of the batugine with an average of 0.1 + 0.005 g.Based on the weighing of calcium oxalate from each concentration the higher the concentration will cause the least insoluble calcium oxalate.

Abstract

Suruhan (Peperomia Pellucida L.) is one of the weed plants that grow wild in humid environments. This plant is commonly found in Indonesia and has been used by the community as a medicinal plant. The secondary metabolites contained oh suruhan are saponins, phenols, flavonoids, and tannins. These compounds are thought to provide antibacterial activity. The purpose of writing this literature review is to determine the compound of secondary metabolites, the antibacterial activity of the extract, and the effective concentration as an antibacterial agent. The method used is literature review by searching journals database with the Google Scholar, PubMed, and Scient Direct. Based on the literature review, the secondary metabolites contained are flavonoids, tannins, steroids, phenols, saponins, glycosides, anterquinone, pellucidin A, stigmasterol, and fucosterol. The antibacterial activity test showed that the extract was able to inhibit gram-positive bacteria such as Bacillus subtilis, Propionibacterium acne, and Staphylococcus aureus, as well as gram-negative bacteria, such as Klebsiella pneumoniae, Shigella dysentriae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pseudomonas fluoescens, Escherichia coli, and Salmonella typhi. The activity produced by gram-negative bacteria is more sensitive than gram-positive bacteria. While the effective concentrations of n-hexane extract against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria were 10 mg/mL and 200 mg/L, the resulting inhibition zone diameters were 17.9 mm and 18 mm.

Abstract

Malondialdehyde (MDA) is a biomarker of oxidative stress due to the presence of free radicals in the body. Papaya fruit contains vitamin C and ?-carotene which are useful as antioxidants. This study aims to determine the initial description of MDA levels in urine and uric acid in smoker and non-smoker respondents and to determine changes in urinary MDA and uric acid levels after administration of papaya fruit juice (Carica papaya L). The research method used was experimental with a pre-post test design. The results obtained at the initial MDA level of urine of smokers and non-smokers were an average of 2.504 nmol / mL and 1.821 nmol / mL and the results obtained after giving the juice on day 7 were 1.455 nmol / mL and 0.992 nmol / mL . Meanwhile, the initial uric acid levels of each respondent were 9.6 mg / dL and 8.4 mg / dL and the results obtained after giving the juice on day 7 were 7.8 mg / dL and 6.8 mg / dL. . So it can be concluded that the provision of papaya fruit juice can reduce the levels of MDA in urine and uric acid.

Abstract

Schizophrenia is a psychotic mental disorder that causes psychiatric symptoms, such as confusion in thinking, emotions, perceptions, and deviant behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics, pattern of use of antipsychotic drugs, and evaluation of the accuracy of antipsychotics for schizophrenia patients in the inpatient installation of RSJD Atma Husada Mahakam Samarinda including the right indication, the right patient, the right drug selection, the right dose, the right frequency and the right duration. administration based on Pharmacotherapy Handbook Tenth Edition Algorithms and Formularium schizophrenia at RSJD Atma Husada Mahakam Samarinda. This type of research is observational. The data collection was done retrospectively with the sampling technique with total sampling on medical records at RSJD Atma Husada Mahakam Samarinda. The results of The most prescribed antipsychotics in schizophrenia patients was the administration of a single antipsychotic risperidone (21.51%), and the administration of a clozapine-risperidone combination antipsychotic (20.43%). Accuracy of antipiscotic use with precise parameters of indication, patient, drug selection, dose, frequency of administration and exact duration of administration based on the Pharmacotherapy Handbook Tenth Edition Algorithms and formulary at RSJD Atma Husada Mahakam Samarinda is 100% accurate from the 93 drug prescriptions studied.

Abstract

Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) merupakan virus penyebab COVID-19. Salah satu kandidat target potensial dari SARS-CoV-2 ialah protease utama (Mpro). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui interaksi antara senyawa dari daun kelor dengan makromolekul Protease Utama SARS CoV-2 dan mengetahui senyawa yang berpotensi sebagai inhibitor Mpro secara in silico dengan studi penambatan molekuler. Struktur dari SARS CoV-2 sebagai molekul target diperoleh dari database PDB (ID: 5R84) 2-cyclohexyl-~{N}-pyridin-3-yl-ethanamidesebagai ligan alami. Analisis penambatan molekuler dilakukan dengan menggunakan AutoDockTools dengan jumlah runs 100 kali. Grid diletakkan pada ligan alami dengan ukuran kotak 40x30x34 dan center 9.812?x-0.257?x20.849? denganspacing 0.375?. Berdasarkan hasil docking dari 22 senyawa metabolit sekunder daun kelor diperoleh 17 senyawa yang memiliki nilai ikatan energy lebih rendah dari ligan alami. Senyawa Quercetin-3-o-glucoside memiliki nilai terendah sebesar -9.35 kkal/mol dibandingkan ligan alami yaitu sebesar -6.56 kkal/mol . Berdasarkan interaksi dari binding site M-pro SARS-CoV-2, senyawa niazimin memiliki interaksi yang mirip dengan ligan alami. Bentuk interaksi yang terjadi adalah adanya ikatan hydrogen dengan residu HIS41, MET49, MET165, CYS145, GLU166, HIS163. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa senyawa metabolit sekunder dari daun kelor memiliki aktivitas dalam menghambat protease utama SARS-CoV-2. Tetapi perlu dilakukan perbandingan dengan makromolekul lain.

Abstract

Daun kokang (Lapisanthes amoena L) secara empiris digunakan sebagai pembersih tubuh dan wajah oleh masyarakat Suku Dayak dan Kutai sebagai pengganti fungsi sabun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui metabolit sekunder dan membandingkan pelarut dalam proses deklorofilisasi klorofil pada daun kokang untuk melihat aktivitas antioksidan dan tabir surya. Proses deklorofilisasi dilakukan menggunakan 2 pelarut berbeda yang bersifat non polar untuk menarik senyawa klorofil pada simplisia dan hasil deklorofilisasi di maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol untuk menarik semua senyawa aktifnya. Ekstrak yang didapatkan langsung diidentifikasi senyawanya, diuji aktivitas antioksidan, dan aktivitas tabir surya. Jumlah rendemen ekstrak daun kokang yang didapat dari 120 g simplisia adalah 20,25 % sedangkan ekstrak daun kokang deklorofilisasi aseton dari 107 g simplisia adalah 18,18%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Senyawa yang terkandung pada ekstrak daun kokang ialah flavonoid, saponin, dan tanin. Sedangkan senyawa yang terkandung pada ekstrak daun kokang yang telah dideklorofilisasi menggunakan aseton ialah saponin dan tanin. Jumlah klorofil total yang ditarik oleh pelarut aseton ialah 4,191 mg/ml sedangkan N-heksan sebanyak 1,238 mg/ml. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak daun kokang mengandung senyawa flavonoid, saponin, tanin, sedangkan ekstrak daun kokang terdeklorofilisasi aseton mengandung senyawa saponin dan tanin. Jumlah rendemen yang didapat adalah 20,25% dan 18,18% serta pelarut yang paling banyak menarik klorofil adalah aseton.

Abstract

Optimasi basis hand sanitizer gel merupakan upaya untuk menemukan formula basis gel yang optimum secara fisiko-kimia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi basis hand sanitizer gel yang optimum. Hand sanitizer gel dibuat dalam tiga formula dengan tiga konsentrasi Carbopol 940 yang berbeda yaitu A,B dan C. Basis gel yang digunakan yaitu Carbopol 940. Optimasi basis gel meliputi evaluasi organoleptik, homogenitas, pH, daya sebar, daya lekat dan viskositas. Optimasi dilakukan selama 7 hari. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimental laboratorium. Hasil yang diperoleh pada evaluasi uji organoleptik adalah diamati warna yang bening, bentuk sediaan semisolid dan bau Carbopol 940. Uji homogenitas untuk mengetahui homogenitas gel dengan tidak adanya butiran kasar yang tidak terlarut, Uji pH diperoleh yaitu pH sediaan gel yaitu stabil pada pH 7. Uji daya sebar diperoleh kisaran diameter yaitu 5,3-5,7 cm. Uji daya lekat diperoleh hasil yaitu lebih dari 1 detik dan memenuhi kriteria sediaan gel. Uji viskositas menunjukan viskositas gel berada pada kisaran 1.206 cps - 1,820 cps. Hasil evaluasi basis handsanitizer gel yang optimum diperoleh jika memiliki kualitas fisik yang baik dan memenuhi kriteria sediaan gel. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi pada optimasi basis handsanitizer gel diperoleh basis gel Carbopol 940 dengan konsentrasi A telah memenuhi kriteria pembuatan sediaan gel.

Abstract

Noni (Morinda citrifolia L.) and cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) fruit are plants that have antihypertensive activity. The active ingredient scopoletin, anthosianin, xeronin in noni and high potassium in cucumber can lower blood pressure. This study aims to determine the characteristic description, hedonic quality test and the effect of giving a combination noni and cucumber squeezed water flesh of fruit on reduction in the systolic and diastolic blood pressure of hypertension patients in Muara Jawa District, East Kalimantan. The research method used was quasi experimental and research procedures measuring pre and post test being given treatment for 7 days. The highest percentage of respondents collected data obtained are aged 36-45 years as much as 45%, women70%, junior high school education 45%, family history 60%, frequent exercise habits 55% and normal BMI 45%. The highest percentage of sample hedonic quality test collected data obtained are the flavor test was sweet by 65%, the aroma test was sharp by 75% and the texture test was soft by 75%. The results of statistical tests using the paired sample t-test method showed a significant decrease in systolic blood pressure p = 0.000 < ? (0.05) of 12.3 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure p = 0.000 < ? (0.05) of 5.4 mmHg. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that giving a combination noni and cucumber squeezed water flesh of fruit can have reduced effect on systolic and diastolic blood pressure of hypertension patients.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of malic acid-glucose based microwave assited extraction (MAE) methods on total polyphenol extraction from suruhan herbs (Pepperomia pellucida (L) Kunth.). Samples that have been dried in the extraction using solvents (green solvent) Malic Acid-Glucose with a ratio of 1: 2, 1:3 and 1: 4 g/g in several conditions including, microwave strength 30% for 5 minutes with a sample ratio and a solvent of 1:14 g/mL. Then the extract solution obtained was measured in total polyphenol levels using the folin ciocalteu (FC) reagent and the absorbance was measured at a wavelength of 658 nm using a UV-vis spectrophotometer. Based on the results of the study obtained levels of polyphenols from each condition of the solvent used is 85 mg GAE/g sample (1 : 2 g/g solvent), 696 mg GAE/ g sample (1:3 g / g solvent) and 317 mg GAE /g sample (1: 4 g / g solvent). From this study it can be concluded that the method of malic acid-glucose based microwave assited extraction can be used to extract polyphenol compounds from Suruhan herbs quickly, easily and efficiently.

Abstract

Dismenore pada remaja adalah hal yang wajar untuk dirasakan ketika siklus menstruasi datang. Asam mefenamat merupakan terapi farmakologis yang sering digunakan oleh perempuan dismenore untuk mengurangi ketidaknyamanan nyeri haid dengan menginhibisi enzim siklooksigenase (COX-2) yang dapat mencegah pembentukan asam arakidonat serta prostaglandin yang akan menstimulasi kontraksi atau nyeri saat haid. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa besar efektivitas asam mefenamat terhadap penanganan dismenore dengan penilaian skala NRS. Metode penelitian dengan quasi experimental terdiri dari 2 kelompok uji-kontrol dengan penilaian nyeri pretest-postest berdasarkan skala NRS. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik Wilcoxon rata-rata penurunan 4,50 dari data pretest-postest kelompok uji sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol rata-rata penurunan 2,50 pada data pretest-postest kelompok kontrol.
