Abstract

a support for shipping safety on a Surabaya shipping company ship. The sample of this studyis the ship crews and shipping company employees of 50 respondents. With the help of the SPSSprogram used to analyze data. The results of data processing obtained multiple R values of 0.765 Themultiple correlation coefficient shows that between the variable Document of Compliance and SafetyManagement Certificate has a strong relationship to the variables of shipping safety, the coefficient ofdetermination is indicated by the R value of 0.765 means the variables X1 and X2 have a strongrelationship level towards the dependent variable Y. The value of R Square, which is equal to 0.5855,means that the effective contribution given by the variables X1 and X2 to the dependent variable Y is58.5%

Abstract

The learning of filling in export notification of goods (PEB) and notification of import ofgoods (PIB) conducted in the department of Ketatalaksanaan Pelayaran Niaga (KPN) of ProgramDiploma Pelayaran (PDP) of the Universitas Hang Tuah (UHT) Surabaya still uses lecture andpresentation methods using OHP (Over Head Projector) slides. OHP slide presentations haveweaknesses in the material, presentation display, user interaction, and program interactions. Thereforeit is necessary to develop computer-based media in order to improve the effectiveness of PEB and PIBfilling learning. The problem of the effectiveness of learning to fill PEB and PIB will be solved byResearch and Development method. The research steps include potential problems, needs analysis,design, implementation, expert validation, product revision I, user trials, product revision II, and masspublications. The test respondents consisted of 41 students of KPN semester VI and 4 lecturers of KPNPDP UHT. Methods of data collection is done by documentation and questionnaire. The method usedto analyze the data is with quantitative descriptive analysis techniques in the form of scores andpercentages on a predetermined assessment scale. The results showed that computer-based media ableto improve the effectiveness of learning filling PEB and PIB. Based on the assessment of students andlecturers, computer-based learning media charging PEB and PIB has the average percentage ofindicator value; content equal to 68,41% (effective), view equal to 68,66% (effective), user interactionequal to 79,76% (very effective), and program interaction equal to 79,02% (very effective). The average of new learning performance or using the PEB and PIB charging tutorial program(73.96%) is better than the old learning performance or without using the PEB and PIB chargingtutorial program (37.5%). The statistical test using the left side correlated t test shows t count -34.8354falls on the area of acceptance Ha, so Ha accepted. The alternative hypothesis (Ha) states that the oldlearning performance is smaller than the new learning performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the influence of work safety culture and work safety climate on the performance of PT. Pelindo III (Persero) East Java Province. The population in this study were all Pelindo III employees in East Java Province in the field operational field with a total of 404 people. The proportional random sampling method of sampling. Determination of the number of samples using the Slovin formula, with the number of 218 respondents. Variable measurement Safety culture is measured using indicators: management commitment, rules and procedures, communication, employee involvement, competence, work environment. Safety climate is measured by using indicators: value management, safety communication, safety practices, safety training and safety equipment. Employee performance is measured using indicators: quantity, quality, reliability, presence and ability to work together. Research Results: 1). Safety culture has a significant effect on the performance of employees of PT. Pelindo III (Persero) East Java Province. Safety culture of PT. Pelindo III (Persero) strong East Java Province will have an impact on employee performance. This is because with the application of high occupational safety employees will feel safe in carrying out work considering safety is important in the work environment. With a strong safety culture at PT. Pelindo III of East Java Province can also direct employees to behave and act, because organizations that have a strong culture have values and codes of conduct for employees to perform performance. 2). The results of safety climate have a significant effect on the performance of employees of PT. Pelindo III (Persero) East Java Province. This means that the safety climate can improve employee performance. Improved employee performance is due to the attitude of caring for the management of PT. Pelindo III East Java Province for the safety of employees and the availability of adequate safety equipment.

Abstract

The first goal of National Education is to make learners have faithful and devoted to God Almighty. Islamic Education in PTU also have a role in making the student as a pious man, while most major faith and the first is believe one God, Allah and do not shirk to Him. Today there are many human actions and beliefs that are not suitable with the national education goals. Based on the background of the problems mentioned above, it can be formulated the statement of the problem; first how is Islamic Education subject in PDP UHT and learning outcomes?; second how is the understanding of Tawheed and Shirk Student PDP UHT?; Third How is the influence of Islamic Education subject on Understanding Tawheed and Shirk Student PDP UHT Surabaya?. This research is quantitative research, the goal is to find a correlation between two variabels, Islamic Education Subject as x variabels and understanding on Islam Tawheed and Shirk of Student PDP UHT as y variabels. Methods of data collection: observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. While the method of statistical analysis using Product Moment. Based on the analysis of the data obtained, it can be concluded as follows: First Islamic Education subjects of PDP UHT is very good. The students achieve an averag of 80, which if consulted with assessment standards SBAK PDP UHT including high kriteria predicated very good; Second the Understanding of Tawheed and Shirk Student PDP UHT is not good, it is proved by the data analysis with an average yield percentage is 48% which if consulted with the standards provided by Suharsimi Arikunto lies in the range (40% - 55% ) is less well categorized; Third It is found that Islamic Education Subject influence on the understanding of Tawheed and Shirk Student PDP UHT, but considered very weak or very low. This is evident from the results of the acquisition of statistical calculation that shows the results of 0.117 that if consulted with interpretation table r classified category of very weak or very low. The rxy results when consulted in the significance level of 5% and 1% yields are lower so that the consequence is the null hypothesis (Ho) or nil stating that there is no significant positive effect between islamic education subject on Understanding Islam Tawheed and Shirk UHT PDP Students accepted or approved, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) or work which states that there is a positive influence rejected.

Abstract

These researches conducted in PT Berlian Jasa Terminal Indonesia (BJTI) Branch Surabaya. The phenomenon happens that the labor of loading and unloading is not as expected by PT Berlian Jasa Terminal Indonesia (BJTI) Branch Surabaya, because the number of workers unloading present are not in accordance with the agreed amount, the arrival of workers unloading is often not timely can slow the smooth process of loading and unloading of containers. Therefore, optimization of manpower loading and unloading should be done with the ideal number of workers unloading only about 10 people, divided into five workers unloading on board, four workers unloading at the dock and the first head of the working team. Smoothness unloading happened at PT Berlian Jasa Terminal Indonesia has not been effective and efficient because due to lack of communication between the parties with the shipping company PT Berlian Jasa Terminal Indonesia therefore PT Berlian Jasa Terminal Indonesia.

Abstract

In the modern era, as now companies in the services sector, especially in agency always required to implement activities quickly and the maximum. The shipping company that provides shipping agency services should be able to carry out its tasks properly. Here the agent acts as a party representing the shipowner in preparing everything for the activities during the ship in port can be implemented as planned. Agencies also must prepare the facility before the ship arrives and ensure loading and unloading activities can be run well so that it can provide completely against the interests of the ship while in port. After completion of all services activities that have been given to the ship, the agency company make the calculation on the entire cost of the service. This final project aims to determine the effect of port charges and costs of loading and unloading of the revenue that is in PT. Abdi Nusantara Indonesia Line. The research method taken in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Steps should be taken by the company to reduce costs by improving the coordination between the company and its customers that the delivery process is not hampered and their expense can be reduced as much as possible by PT. Abdi Nusantara Indonesia Line.

Abstract

PT. Mentari Sejati Perkasa is a company engaged in the field of sea transportation services, namely container service, container depot, shipping agent, stevadoring. The importance of container depots is very influential because it is a container or place for stacking empty containers or container contents. The right and neat container arrangement in the depo area is very influential on the limited depo land area. Because if the container arrangement is not neat, the activities taking place in the depot area will not run smoothly. The tidier in the preparation and arrangement of containers will make optimal activities that occur in the depo area and can also make time efficient in loading and unloading activities that occur in the depo area, distribution of containers from the depot to the port or vice versa.

Abstract

PT. PELNI is a company engaged in the field of marine transportation services ie passenger ships. The importance of "service" to the satisfaction of passengers is very influential, Services passenger can be defined as any form of services passengers and in-kind, which in principle is the responsibility and implemented by government institutions at the central, local, and in the state-owned enterprises, or enterprises in an effort to meet the needs of society as well as in the framework of the provisions of the legislation. This research was conducted in order to determine the performance of services and determine the level of satisfaction of service users Services to PT. PELNI. The study design used is descriptive qualitative. The results of this study are as follows. First, from the aspect of quality of service to passengers PT. PELNI employee attitudes and, generally unsatisfactory service performance, but still need some improvements in order to provide maximum service to all service users by the PT. PELNI. Second, based on passenger feedback to the facilities provided by the PT. PELNI still lack a place where ticket sales and ticket counter, causing long queues of passengers who pose a mutual struggle to quickly get into the KM. Sinabung. Third to the security of the passengers were still causing unrest and losses on the passenger against the persistence of the brokering or counterfeit tickets, clashes between passengers. This means that most of the passengers wanting to improve on three indicators and should be a priority in improving the service by the parties in the future PT. PELNI provide services.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine and analyze the influence of transformational leadership and learning organization on the performance of private universities in Surabaya. The population in this study were all private university‘s leaders in Surabaya area. The sampling method uses census method, where all members of the population are made as research samples. Research Results: 1). Transformational leadership has no significant effect on organizational performance. The results of this study indicate that the application of transformational leadership does not guarantee that it can improve performance even though in transformational leadership the leader provides inspiration and motivation to lecturers and education personnel to achieve better results than planned, it does not affect organizational performance because organizational performance is determined by performance lecturers where the lecturers' work is independent rather than motivating themselves to carry out their own tasks without being influenced by their leaders and lack of communication between leaders and subordinates. 2). The results of this study found that Learning Organization has a significant effect on Organizational Performance. The findings in the field indicate that Learning Organization must be maintained and even increased by Higher Education organizations, because in these variables it is a factor that must be considered and implemented well in universities in achieving optimal performance given the achievement of important universities as a basis for obtaining accreditation and other university achievements.
