Abstract

Daun rambutan telah diidentifikasi mengandung senyawa flavanoid, alkaloid, saponin, dan tanin yang memiliki potensi sebagai antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasikan sedian gel estrak daun rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum L) dan mengetahui kemampuan sedian gel ekstrak daun rambutan dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Propionibakterium Acne. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah eksperimental dilaboratorium, dengan metode formulasi ekstrak daun rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum L) dalam sediaan gel dengan konsentrasi 5% untuk F1, 10% untuk F2 dan 15% untuk F3, kemudian dilakukan uji stabilitas fisik sediaan sebelum dan sesudah cycling test, selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian aktivitas antibakteri Propionibakterium Acne mengunakan metode sumuran. Hasil pengujian kestabilan sediaan gel telah memenuhi persyaratan sesuai standar yang ditetapkan dengan menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan sebelum dan sesudah cycling test, sedangkan hasil pengujian aktivitas antibakteri menunjukan bahwa F1 dengan konsentrasi 5% memiliki zona hambat sebesar 19,4 mm,F2 dengan konsentrasi 10% memiliki zona hambat sebesar 21,9 mm, F3 dengan konsentrasi 15% memiliki Zona hambat 23,5 mm,kontrol positif (K+) memiliki zona hambat sebesar 31,2 mm, dan kontrol negatif (K-) tidak memberikan daya hambat. Maka dapat disimpulkan hasil dari ketiga formula tersebut sudah efektif sebagai antibakteri pada bakteri Propionibakterum Acne dan yang paling mendekati dengan kontrol positif adalah F3 dengan konsetrasi 15% yang memiliki zona hamat sebesar 23,5 mmyang termasuk kategori kuat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan antara pilihan kata dan status sosial dalam konteks bahasa dan kelas sosial. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan sosiolinguistik, penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana variasi dalam penggunaan bahasa, seperti pilihan kata dan gaya bicara, mencerminkan dan memperkuat hierarki sosial. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi, dan wawancara dengan individu dari berbagai latar belakang sosial yang berbeda di lingkungan perkotaan dan pedesaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara status sosial seseorang dengan bahasa yang digunakan, di mana individu dengan status sosial yang lebih tinggi cenderung menggunakan kata-kata yang lebih formal dan teknis. Sselain dari itu peneliti menemukan peran alih kode sebagai strategi sosial di Indonesia, dimana individu sering menggunakan bahasa standar, dan dialek dari daerah mereka berasal berdasarkan dengan konteks sebaliknya, kelompok dengan status sosial yang lebih rendah lebih cenderung menggunakan bahasa sehari-hari dan bahasa slang. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa pilihan kata dapat menjadi indikator identitas sosial dan norma sosial. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa bahasa tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai alat komunikasi, tetapi juga sebagai simbol status sosial yang kompleks dan dinamis. Artikel ini memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang peran bahasa dalam membentuk interaksi sosial dalam masyarakat.

Abstract

Puskesmas Abeli merupakan salah satu puskesmas yang memiliki cakupan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat yang terendah pada tahun 2019 yaitu sekitar 64% dari target 80%. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penyuluhan kesehatan terhadap tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap serta kebudayaaan ibu mengenai perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat rumah tangga di Kelurahan Talia Kecamatan Abeli. Jenis penelitian menggunakan quasi experimental dengan desain one group pretest-post test design. Populasi penelitian yaitu 122 orang dan sampel berjumlah 55 orang, menggunakan purposive sampling Analisis data menggunakan uji paired sample t test dan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada pengaruh penyuluhan terhadap tingkat pengetahuan Ibu dengan nilai p = 0,000 (p<0,05), ada pengaruh penyuluhan terhadap sikap Ibu dengan nilai p = 0,000 (p<0,05), dan ada pengaruh penyuluhan terhadap kebudyaaan Ibu dengan nilai p = 0,000 (p<0,05). Kesimpulan penelitian adalah ada pengaruh penyuluhan kesehatan terhadap pengetahuan, sikap, dan kebudayaan ibu di Kelurahan Talia Kecamatan Abeli. Diharapkan kepada Dinas Kesehatan dan Puskesmas terkait, agar lebih berperan dalam peningkatan penyuluhan tentang perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat agar pengetahuan, sikap dan kebudayaan yang masih rendah atau tidak sesuai dengan konsep kesehatan dapat berubah ke arah yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus is a growing health concern among adolescents, with excessive added sugar consumption being a major contributing factor. Knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to added sugar intake play an important role in reducing the risk of diabetes. Method: This study used a quantitative correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 159 adolescents from SMP Negeri 1 Cilongok were selected using proportional random sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires measuring knowledge, attitudes, behaviors, and diabetes risk using the PRESTARt instrument. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. Results: The results showed a significant relationship between knowledge and behavior with the risk of diabetes mellitus (p = 0.032 and p = 0.002). However, no significant relationship was found between attitudes and diabetes risk (p = 0.203). Conclusion: Knowledge and behavior regarding added sugar consumption are significantly associated with the risk of diabetes mellitus in adolescents, while attitudes do not show a significant relationship.

Abstract

Background: One of the crucial determinants of the quality of medical services provided by hospitals is the availability of adequate and complete data or information concerning medical records, which significantly impacts the submission of BPJS claims. Method: This research utilizes a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design, employing a cross-sectional data collection method. Results: The completeness of medical records for inpatients with bronchitis, categorized into indicators such as Participant Eligibility Letter (SEP), supporting examinations, the accuracy of codes, and inpatient billing resumes, was complete for 75 (100%) cases. Medical summaries were categorized as complete for 34 (45.33%) cases and incomplete for 41 (54.67%) cases. The indicator of inpatient admission orders was complete for 6 (8%) cases and incomplete for 69 (92%) cases. The timeliness of BPJS inpatient claims was categorized as timely for 49 (65.33%) cases and untimely for 26 (34.67%) cases. Conclusion: The completeness of medical records significantly affects the timeliness of BPJS claims, where incomplete documentation, particularly in medical resumes and inpatient admission orders, contributes to delays in claim submission.

Abstract

Background: Choking is an emergency condition caused by airway obstruction due to a foreign object and poses a serious risk to toddlers. Mothers’ knowledge and skills in managing choking incidents are essential to prevent severe complications. Health education using engaging educational videos can be an effective intervention, as video media enables rapid and memorable information delivery, helping mothers become more prepared and competent in handling choking situations. Method: This quantitative study employed a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. A total of 57 respondents were selected using non-probability incidental sampling. Instruments included a respondent characteristics questionnaire, a choking knowledge questionnaire, and a skills observation checklist. The intervention consisted of the CAR educational video, and data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Results: The mean age of respondents was 27.75 years. Most participants were housewives (50.9%) and had junior high school education (36.8%). The mean knowledge score increased from 11.00 before the intervention to 19.00 after the intervention. The mean skills score improved from 9.00 to 15.00. Statistical analysis showed a significant effect of the CAR educational video on mothers’ knowledge and skills (p = 0.001). Conclusion: The CAR educational video effectively improved mothers’ knowledge and skills in managing choking incidents among toddlers.

Abstract

Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a progressive and irreversible impairment of kidney fungction, leading to the body’s inability to maintain fluid, electrolyte, and metabolic balance. Hemodialysis serves as an effective renal replacement therapy for patient with CKD; however, it may also cause adverse side effects. Method: The study employed a case study design with a descriptive approach. A total sampling technique was used, involving 12 respondents. Data collection was conducted through observation sheets and interview guides. Results: The responses observed in chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis at RSUD Ajibarang included hypertension (91.7%), dizziness (33.3%), muscle cramps (25%), nausea (8.3%), fever (8.3%), chills (8.3%), and chest pain (8.3%). Conclusion: The most common responses experienced by hemodialysis patient at RSUD Ajibarang were hypertension, dizziness, and muscle cramps.

Abstract

Background: Platelet count examination is an essential hematological test that requires proper anticoagulant usage to prevent blood coagulation. The accuracy of platelet measurement is influenced by the proportion of anticoagulant and blood volume. Method: This study used an observational cross-sectional design conducted at the Clinical Laboratory of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. A total of 15 samples were obtained using purposive sampling. Platelet counts were measured using a hematology analyzer with three blood volume variations (0.5 mL, 1 mL, and 3 mL). Data were analyzed using normality tests and one-way ANOVA. Results: The mean platelet counts for 0.5 mL, 1 mL, and 3 mL samples were 23486.67, 24986.67, and 25206.67, respectively. Statistical analysis showed no significant difference (p = 0.375; p > 0.05). Conclusion: Variations in blood sample volume in K2EDTA tubes do not significantly affect platelet count results when measured using a hematology analyzer.

Abstract

Background: Hyperthermia is an increase in body temperature that can be caused by hormonal disturbances, metabolic disorders, drug use, increased environmental temperature, or exposure to external heat, leading to an imbalance between heat production and heat loss in the body. Tepid Water Sponge is a procedure aimed at enhancing heat loss control through evaporation and conduction in individuals experiencing high fever. Method: This research employs a descriptive explanatory method with a total of 40 mothers as respondents. Data collection was conducted using a knowledge questionnaire and an observation sheet for skills assessment. Results: The study revealed that 63.4% of mothers had good knowledge, and 34.1% had adequate knowledge. Regarding tepid water sponge skills, 26.8% of mothers demonstrated a good understanding of the technique, 65.9% had adequate skills, and 4.9% had poor skills. Conclusion: Mothers' knowledge about tepid water sponge is generally good, although there are still a few (two mothers) who lack sufficient skills.

Abstract

Background: Anxiety is an emotional response from individuals that describes a state of worry, anxiety, fear and unease accompanied by various life situations from any aspect as part of a pain disorder. Method: This research uses a correlational analytical research design, using a cross-sectional approach. The population and sample used were 56 respondents using the consecutive sampling method. The statistical test used is Spearman's rank. Results: This study shows that the majority of respondents were aged 18 – 28 years (32.1%), male (50%), completed high school/vocational school (46.4%), type of general anesthesia (50%), and type of minor surgery (100%). The results of the Spearman's rank test showed a significance value with a p value <0.05, which means that there was a significant relationship between waiting time and anxiety levels and hemodynamic status of preoperative patients during the waiting time period. Conclusion: There is a relationship between the waiting time period and the level of anxiety and hemodynamic status of preoperative patients at Purwokerto Islamic Hospital.
