The understanding possessed will affect the growth of the Islamic banking sector, cannot be separated from the role of students who study Islamic banking in using Islamic banks. This study entitled THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ISLAMIC BUSINESS STUDENTS AND THE USE OF ISLAMIC BANKS aims to determine whether there is a relationship between students studying Islamic economics with their interest in using Islamic banks as accounts. This study uses a quantitative method by distributing questionnaires to student respondents at various universities in Indonesia. The results of the questionnaires that have been filled in by respondents were analyzed using SPSS 25 software with a quantitative descriptive method. The results of this study have a strong positive correlation on independent variables: variables X1 (Learning Islamic Economics), variables X2 (Information Sources), and variables X3 (Sources of Advice) on dependent variable Y (Interest in Using Islamic Banks). This research aims to analyze the effect of green marketing and environmental knowledge directly and indirectly on buying decisions through buying interest as a mediating variable. This research method used is quantitative approach and conducted on customers of LocknLock kitchen and household products with a total sample of 120 respondents obtained through a questionnaire method. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling method based on the criteria of customers who live in the Province of D.I. Yogyakarta and have purchased a product at least once. The analytical method used is the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) method processed through the AMOS 22.0 application. The results show following facts: green marketing and environmental knowledge have significant and positive effect on buying intention; green marketing has no effect on buying decisions; environmental knowledge has a significant and positive effect on buying decisions; buying intention has a significant and positive effect on buying decisions; buying intention is proven to be a mediating variable on green marketing relationship with buying decisions; buying interest is not proven to be a mediating variable on the relationship between environmental knowledge and buying decisions. The study explained that the better and more active companies in doing green marketing and more educated customers about the importance of preserving the environment through the use of green products will increase the interest of buying customers that eventually lead to decision purchases.

Introduction – The banking sector has a function as a financial channeling institution and financing provider that has a crucial role in society. Therefore, a risk management mechanism is needed to overcome the financial crisis that occurred in 2008. The Government of Indonesia through the Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan) issued regulation number 18/POJK.03/2016 concerning Commercial Bank Risk Management which regulates banking risk management. Purpose – This study aims to determine the effect of credit risk, liquidity risk and operational risk on profitability; as well as to determine the differences in the level of credit risk, liquidity risk, operational risk and profitability between state-owned and private banks. Methodology/Approach – This research using multiple regression analysis, data collected from state-owned bank and private banks registered in Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2016 – 2019. Credit risk is proxied by the NPL ratio, liquidity risk is proxied by the LDR ratio, operational risk is proxied by the ROA ratio and profitability is proxied by the ROA ratio mention the method of the research, sampling and data collecting. To determine the difference between state-owned bank and private bank, this research using Mann-Whitney test. Findings – By using multiple linear regression analysis on banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2016-2019, it was found that NPL had a negative effect on ROA, LDR had a positive effect on ROA and BOPO had a negative effect on ROA. In testing the difference, the Mann-Whitney difference test was used which resulted in the finding that there was a difference in the NPL ratio between state-owned and private banks, there was a difference in the BOPO ratio between state-owned and private banks and there was a difference in the ROA ratio between state-owned and private banks. From all different tests, the results show that private-owned banks have worse financial ratios than state-owned banks. Meanwhile, the LDR ratio found that there was no difference between state-owned and private banks. Originality/ Value/ Implication – The results of this study have implications as follow: for banks to pay more attention to the NPL, LDR and BOPO ratios because they affect bank profitability; regulators should pay attention to the financial ratios of private-owned banks in order to control banking risks.

Introduction – As the Western media continues to link Islam with terrorism and aggression, many Muslims, especially those who are a minority in their country, struggle with a negative stigma. Purpose – This current research seeks to examine the predictive abilities of religiosity and self-righteousness on aggression among Muslims in Malaysia. Methodology/Approach – An online survey that adapted items from the Religious Commitment Inventory-10 (RCI[1]10), Self-Righteousness Scale (SRS), and Aggression Questionnaire (AQ) were employed. This study hypothesized that aggression is predicted by self[1]righteousness, while religiosity is not predictive of aggression. Participants in this study were recruited through a convenient sampling method whereby the link to access the survey was shared on social media platforms. The participants comprised 66 female respondents while 43 respondents were males; the mode of age for all was 22 years old (N=109). The data collected was analyzed in SPSS using regression analysis to measure the relationship between the variables (religiosity, self-righteousness, and aggression) as well as to examine its predictive capabilities. Findings – The regression analysis model produced R2 = 0.49, F (2, 106) = 2.73, p = .07. Results also showed that RCI-10 was not related to AQ; meanwhile, SRS is predictive of AQ. Hence, the hypotheses of this study were accepted. Originality/ Value/ Implication – These findings imply that perhaps personal interpretation and experiences play a large part in how people interpret their religion and justify aggressive behaviours. Similarly, results indicated that religiosity is not supposed to manifest aggression. This further implies that the way sermons and religious values are being delivered plays a crucial role in fostering aggressive tendencies. It is hoped that the findings herein can be used as a guide for future researchers and aid in reducing negative stigmas on Muslim

Introduction – As the use of social media continues to increase, past research has linked its use with various emotional and physical problems, such as body image distortion and eating disorders. University students have been found to be particularly susceptible to having poor body image. Purpose – This prompted the present study to examine the relationship between social media engagement and body[1]esteem among students in a public Malaysian university. Methodology/Approach – This study hypothesised that social media engagement is significantly associated with body-esteem. By adopting a correlational study, this research involved undergraduate students (N=116) from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) who were required to fill in the Social Media Engagement Questionnaire (SMEQ) and Body-Esteem Scale Revised (BES-R) through an online survey. A Spearman’s correlation analysis was used to identify the correlation between social media engagement (M=22.46, SD=8.06) and body-esteem (M=93.39, SD=19.33). Findings – Results found that there was a significant yet weak positive relationship between the two variables examined (p = 0.05, 2 tailed), indicating that higher social media engagement is correlated with higher body-esteem. Originality/ Value/ Implication – These findings imply that social media engagement does not necessarily facilitate negative outcomes such as low body esteem as suggested by past studies. Instead, interactions through social media can aid in increasing body esteem. Nonetheless, as revealed by past research, this positive outcome may depend on the content that social media users engage with

After the fall of the Soviet Union thereafter the Cold War, the rivalry between the United States and Russia remains prevalent. This paper seeks to find why Russia is protesting the U.S. plan to pace military equipment in Eastern Europe. The Eastern European Region is located in the eastern part of the European continent, consisting of post-Soviet Union countries. These countries are often associated with the term "Eastern Bloc" during the Cold War. Using power transition theory, the author will be explaining the nature of war concerning power in international relations. Additionally, power transition theory shows that hegemony's increasing power and rivalry tends to be difficult to resolve by peaceful means. In compiling this research, the author used the descriptive qualitative method. The form of the method used is Literature Review or library research. Human Rights is one of the major priorities which continue to be pursued by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). This is manifested by the commitment of member countries to establish the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights in 2009 which resulted in the ASEAN Human Rights Declaration in mid-2012. In promoting human rights, many countries have adopted the values of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) which is the main foundation for freedom and equality. This research found that Indonesia and Malaysia both have already had various UDHR values in their constitution and even implement them in the foreign policy of their respective countries. By utilizing constructivism theoretical approach through a qualitative method, where literature study is conducted by gathering information through books, reports, news articles and journal articles. Our analysis finds that there are significant differences in the human rights systems implementation and mechanisms developed by each ASEAN country, including in Indonesia and Malaysia. Therefore, the authors suggest using a sustainable constructive approach in adopting UDHR values
