Abstract

In Islamic economic studies, there are only 2 functions of money: money as a unit of value and money as a medium of exchange. There are four functions of money in the conventional economic system: money as a unit of calculation, money as a unit of exchange, but in conventional principles, money not only functions as a legal medium of exchange but also as goods that can be traded or to get profits, money as a unit of store of value, and money as a standard unit of payment in the future. This study aims to find out how the people of Bukittinggi perceive the function of money from an Islamic economic perspective. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive research. The research informant was the Muslim community of Bandar Lampung City. Collecting data is done through documentation, observation, and interviews. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. From the results of research conducted by researchers, it was found that most people's perceptions about the function of money are in line with Islamic economics, but a small number have perceptions that are not in line with Islamic economics because they think that money can be used as a tool to take personal advantage. This is contrary to the concept and function of money in Islam

Abstract

East Java as a national food center must receive serious attention regarding the existence of slaughterhouses that meet halal and hygiene standards. If the RPH as an upstream halal product can be improved, then the downstream area will be greatly helped in realizing a product ready for consumption and use. And ultimately, halal certification for processed meat food products will be achieved faster and better. Based on field phenomena, there are still many processed meat food products that do not yet have halal certification, this is where the upstream slaughterhouse war becomes very urgent. From research using a qualitative approach and this type of library research (Library Research), data was obtained from previous research, news portals, and websites that provide information about the readiness of RPH as a strategic upstream for strengthening halal certification in East Java, which then resulted in the conclusion that the readiness of RPH in East Java is still relatively low. Hence, there is a need for synergistic cooperation between the relevant parties, namely: the community, SMEs, RPH, and government.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship between Sharia Compliance and Islamic Governance on the financial performance of Islamic banking in Indonesia. Islamic banking has experienced significant growth in recent years, but there are still differences in performance between Islamic and conventional banks. Therefore, this research aims to examine the relationship between compliance with Sharia principles and the implementation of Islamic governance, which affects the financial performance of Sharia banks. This study uses a descriptive-analytic approach by collecting secondary data from Islamic bank financial reports and the Islamic Governance Index. The data was analyzed using the regression method to identify the relationship between Sharia Compliance, Islamic Governance, and the financial performance of Islamic banks. This research shows that Sharia Compliance has a significantly favorable influence on the financial performance of Islamic Banking. Islamic banks that comply more with Sharia principles tend to perform better. Apart from that, Islamic governance also has a significantly favorable influence on the financial performance of Islamic banks. Sharia banks that implement good Islamic banking governance have more robust financial performance. Limitations of this research include the limited secondary data available and the focus on the Islamic banking industry in Indonesia. Future research could involve field research, primary data, and expanded geographic coverage to understand better the relationship between Sharia Compliance, Islamic Governance, and Islamic Banking financial performance.
