Abstract

The soil condition in Sigar Bencah, Semarang City, has characteristics that are less supportive of construction, such as cracks, low bearing capacity, and instability. This study aims to evaluate the effects of soil stabilization using lime and cement on soil compaction and unconfined compressive strength (UCS). The variations of lime and cement content used are 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15%, with lime and cement ratios of 30:70, 50:50, and 70:30. The tests conducted include physical property analysis, standard compaction, and UCS testing. The results of the study show a significant improvement in both UCS and optimal soil compaction after stabilization treatment. The optimal additive combination for improving soil quality was found at a 10% additive content with a 50:50 lime-to-cement ratio, which produced a UCS value of 14.2 kg/cm². This indicates that the use of lime and cement as stabilization materials can enhance soil strength and stability, making it suitable for use in construction in areas with poor soil conditions. This stabilization can also serve as a solution to increase soil bearing capacity, reduce potential damage, and improve soil performance in various construction applications.

Abstract

During the construction process of the Sidoarjo Funeral Home, issues related to material flow led to project delays and deviation from the planned schedule. Therefore, risk analysis and evaluation are crucial to address potential disruptions in the material flow. This study applies the House of Risk (HOR) method to identify, prioritize, and develop mitigation strategies for risks arising within the material flow process. The risk identification phase adopts the Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) approach to determine risk events and their causes. Subsequently, calculations are conducted to prioritize risk agents and design appropriate mitigation strategies. The strategy formulation process begins by assessing the correlation between mitigation actions and risk agents, followed by the calculation of Total Effectiveness (TEk), Degree of Difficulty (Dk), and the Effectiveness to Difficulty Ratio (ETDk) to determine the ranking of mitigation priorities. The results of the study identify 19 risk events and 20 associated risk causes within the material flow. Eight mitigation strategies are proposed to address nine dominant risk causes, including: the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as a communication system, adding security protection for materials, conducting punishment to related parties, creating an integrated system, coordinating and communicating with suppliers, making agreements with external parties, conducting training, and tightly selecting workers.

Abstract

Many people still use private vehicles, making BRT's function as a solution to overcome congestion not optimally realized. The aims of this study were: 1) to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors for the Trans Semarang Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service (Mangkang-Penggaron Corridor); 2) determine the effectiveness of the Trans Semarang Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service (Mangkang-Penggaron Corridor). This research uses a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis technique is descriptive statistics. The research results show that the supporting factors for the BRT Trans Semarang service are the dominant flat and wide roads, so that large buses can be used. The inhibiting factors in BRT Trans Semarang services are the absence of a special lane for BRT Trans Semarang, so waiting times and fleet intervals are still very dependent on existing traffic conditions. How to overcome the inhibiting factors in BRT Trans Semarang services, namely planning a special route for the Jrakah intersection to the Pedurungan intersection with a length of 12.8 km to improve service and reduce passenger waiting time, as well as improve fleet intervals. While the effectiveness of BRT Trans Semarang service corridor I Mangkang-Penggaron obtained a total average percentage value of 84% in the very good category. The results of the one sample t-test that have been carried out obtained a sig 2-tailed value of 0.000 0.05, indicating that Ho was rejected, so the average value of the effectiveness of the Trans Semarang Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service corridor I Mangkang-Penggaron is not the same with 80. It can be concluded that the effectiveness of the Trans Semarang Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service (Mangkang-Penggaron Corridor) has been running effectively.

Abstract

Concrete technology has increased in recent decades followed by various studies to improve concrete performance in the construction world. The research conducted is to improve the performance of building materials by considering the selection of concrete forming materials to the substitution of other materials such as replacing an aggregate with waste materials. Therefore and by considering the existence of large amounts of glass waste, it is possible to be used as an alternative solution to environmental problems around us, especially fine aggregates. The study used glass substitution as a partial replacement for fine aggregates in concrete materials. The glass variations used were 0%, 7.5%, 10%, and 12.5%. Data analysis used regression and classical assumption tests with the SPSS program with the help of SPSS 20 for Windows software. The variables used in this study were the independent variable (glass waste) and the dependent variable (compressive strength and flexural strength)

Abstract

In the production process, the tofu industry produces solid and liquid waste. The waste contains organic matter with high levels of BOD, COD, and TSS and does not meet quality standards. If the waste is directly discharged into the environment, it will reduce the carrying capacity of the environment. This research was conducted at the WD Lamper Lor Tofu Factory, with the aim of planning the design and RAB for the construction of the wastewater treatment plant at the Tofu Factory. This research uses quantitative analysis methods which are presented in the form of numbers which are then explained and interpreted in the form of descriptions. The quality of BOD, COD, TSS, and pH were 144 mg/L, respectively; 380 mg/L; 98 mg/L; and 4.34. Based on the quality standards, the wastewater does not meet the requirements, so it is necessary to plan a wastewater treatment plant. Researchers plan the processing stages, namely Reservoir, Equalization, Anaerobic Digester, Gas Storage, Presettlement Tub, Anaerobic Biofilter, and Final Sedimentation Tub. The estimated effluent from the processing of BOD, COD, and TSS is 2,916 mg/L, respectively; 7.695 mg/L; 2.116 mg/L. In addition to processing it into water that is fit for reuse, the design of this wastewater treatment plant produces methane gas that can be used for the tofu-making process or can be used on a household scale. The total budget plan for the planning of the Wastewater Treatment Plant at the WD Tofu Factory is 31,106,117.05.

Abstract

To create a comfortable residence in urban areas, innovation is needed in roof tile making materials to reduce the rate of solar heat absorbed by the roof tiles. Therefore, new innovations in concrete roof tiles so that concrete roof tiles can compete in the market, with a coconut fiber composition of 0%, 1%, 3%, 5%. The addition of coconut fiber fiber is expected to reduce the weight of concrete roof tiles which is the main problem by using less sand in the composition without reducing the bending load and water permeability (impermeability) of concrete roof tiles. It is also hoped that this innovation can reduce the use of tin roofs and choose concrete roofs. which is more environmentally friendly. After testing flexural strength, water seepage and water absorption, several results were obtained. Results from flexural strength testing, bending load characteristics at 1% variation; 3% and 5% yield 153 kg; 193.8 kg; and 214.2 kg. For testing water seepage or impermeability with the addition of 0% coconut fiber; 1%, 3% and 5% all have no water droplets dripping on the bottom surface of the roof tiles due to water seepage except for the 5% mixture which has water droplets underneath. And for water absorption or porosity of concrete roof tiles with the addition of 0% coconut fiber; 1%; 3%; and 5%, namely 11.1%; 11.3%; 11.3% and 14.7%. So it can be concluded that concrete roof tiles with a 3% coconut fiber mixture are the most ideal mixture, noting that the weight of the concrete roof tiles will increase when exposed to water because they still do not meet the SNI standards for water absorption (porosity).

Abstract

Risk management in the form of initial mitigation by considering internal and external factors and issues will be able to narrow the gap in making predictions and strategies to accelerate the completion time of work until it is completely completed. The Loji-Banger River Flood and Robo Control Project Package 1 is one of the government's strategic projects which aims to overcome tidal floods on the north coast of Pekalongan City. Risk assessment is carried out in several stages from risk identification to mitigation suggestions to reduce the scale of risk from inherent risk to residual risk which shows that of the 35 variables assessed, all risk factors have decreased on the risk scale, however there are several risk factors that are of particular concern. because the residual risk is still at a moderate level, so very tight controls or control are needed because it could potentially cause a gap in the work acceleration target time, including possible risks due to delays in material delivery (X2), possible risks due to some of the work land not being free (X11 ), possible risks due to the DIPA Budget Refocusing Issue, its influence on cash flow (X18), possible risks due to the influence of the company's financial condition on the project action plan (X19), possible risks due to errors in preparing work sequences or work zoning (X27).
