Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of financial leverage, growth, and business risk on firm’s profitability. Using 18 companies listed on LQ45 index during 2013 – 2017. The research used a panel data regression analysis method with Fixed Effect Model (FEM) as the estimator model. The findings suggest that financial leverage has a negative effect on firm’s profitability, asset growth has a positive effect on firm’s profitability, and business risk does not affect firm’s profitability.

Abstract

This research aims is to investigate the effects of transformational leadership, organizational justice, employee engagement toward organizational commitment. The background of this research based on the Gallup’s survey 2017 which reported that Indonesian’s employees who were engaged to their job and companies at the low level of 15% compare to four Southeast Asian countries: Malaysia 17%, Singapore 23%, Thailand 23%, and Philippines 36%. In response, to chase this lagging behind is required to conduct empirical studies to find the predictors that have significant effect toward employee engagement particularly in the Indonesian context. Due to the population is too broad hence this research is limited by area of Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tanggerang and Bekasi (JABODETABEK). The data was collected by questionnaire method through online survey with snowball sampling technique. The survey was responded by 188 repondents from various industries and position levels, which then selected only 128 respondents who qualified for this research are non-Board of Director and working in JABODETABEK area. This research apply path analysis technique and the data was processed using macro process SPSS by Andrew F. Hayes which aims to investigate the direct and indirect effects of the independent variables on the dependent through the mediators. The finding is transformational leadership has the indirect effect on organizational commitment through organizational justice and employee engagement, both alone or in serial, and organizational justice found has the strongest mediation effect on non-serial mediation.

Abstract

This study aims to reexamine the influence of liquidity ratio, leverage ratio and profitability ratio on financial distress conducted on property, real estate and manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2014-2016. This is because the property, real estate and manufacturing industries in the 2014-2016 period show symptoms of ups and downs as a result of economic movement in Indonesia. The research was conducted by measuring the level of financial distress formulated by Altman (1968) that is Z-score model, followed by calculating liquidity ratio represented by current ratio, leverage ratio represented by debt ratio and profitability ratio represented return on assets. Data processing using Eviews. The results obtained from this research is the ratio of leverage represented debt ratio, significantly have an effect to financial distress, while the other two ratios are not significant.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know stock return, trading volume activity and ¬bid-ask spread before and after stock split at company listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study was conducted on all companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange 2010-2014 period with the number of research samples of 30 companies through purposive sampling technique. Data collection method used is non-participant technique with data analysis technique Paired Samples T-Test. Based on the result found that there is no difference between stock return, trading volume activity and ¬bid-ask spread before and after stock split.

Abstract

This study aims to desingn a business plan for a new business as a guide for the business’ owner, in dayly operating, and in enhancing profiitability and financial feasibility of the business. The data used in this analysis is the projection data, either cost and price, for the next five (5) years. Method used in determining the market opportunity and sales is opinion methods and market survey. It is projected that sales(in unit) in the first year,2019, is 5.566, and it is estimated to increase to 9.735, in 2023, with an average growth of 15% per year. Profits obtained during 2019 amounted to Rp162.266.766,00, and it is projected to increase to Rp 695.009.186,00 in 2023. When viewed from its NPV, this business is feasible to run because the NPV is positive. Meanwhile, Payback period is only 3.67 months.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek moderasi dukungan organisasi dan mediasi Work-life Balance pada pengaruh pengembangan karir terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan wanita yang telah memiliki keluarga pada PT Bank Central Asia, Tbk. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling method. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 120 karyawan dengan sampel sebanyak 45 karyawan. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis jalur The Simple Mediation and Moderation Model dengan menggunakan software SPSS versi 22 dan macro Hayess 2013. Dari temuan penelitian di PT Bank Central Asia, Tbk diketahui pengembangan karir, kepuasan kerja, Work-life Balance serta dukungan organisasi sudah baik. Namun demikian Work-life Balance terbukti tidak dapat memediasi pengaruh pengembangan karir terhadap kepuasan kerja, begitu pula dengan dukungan organisasi tidak dapat memoderasi pengaruh pengembangan karir terhadap kepuasan kerja.

Abstract

Perkembangan online shop yang pesat berkat dukungan kemajuan teknologi dan informasi, dan terjadi hampir di seluruh belahan dunia. Setiap usaha yang dilakukan oleh semua jenis bisnis semestinya bermuara pada kepuasan pelanggannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menilai bisnis telah dijalankan telah berdampak pada kepuasan pelanggan. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa terdapat dampak dari dimensi-dimensi service quality terhadap customer satisfaction. Pemilik usaha online shop perlu selalu memperhatikan, mempertahankan dan meningkatkan pada setiap dimensi service quality supaya selalu mampu mencapai kepuasan pelanggannya demi langgengnya bisnis.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim to determine the perceptions of respondents about the effect of performance management systems on career satisfaction and how the influence of job satisfaction mediates the relationship between performance management systems and employee career satisfaction at PT Kraft Ultrajaya Indonesia. This study uses primary data obtained directly from respondents by distributing questionnaires. The population of this study were all managerial employees of PT Kraft Ultrajaya Indonesia with a sample of 50 PT Kraft Ultrajaya Indonesia managerial employees. The sampling technique uses convenience sampling. This study contains a test of the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable and analysis of mediation effects. The findings show that the performance management system, job satisfaction, and career satisfaction are good. Job satisfaction variables are proven to mediate the relationship between performance management systems and career satisfaction. All relationships between variables have a significant relationship, except the relationship between performance management systems to career satisfaction that does not have a significant relationship. PT Kraft Ultrajaya is also advised to improve its performance management and pay more attention to aspects of rewards that are in line with employee achievement.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect of consumers attitude toward the protection of the environment,personal norms related to green issues, and consumers willingness to pay for green product attributes on theintention to green purchasing behavior . The data was gathered by using questionnaires and was collectedfrom 153 respondents who had bought organic food in Jakarta. The sampling technique used is purposivesampling. Mutiple Regression is used to analyze the data. The findings showed that those antecedences ofintentions to green purchasing behavior that consists of the consumers attitude toward the protection of theenvironment, personal norms related to green issues, and consumers willingness to pay for green productattributes have positive influence on intention to green purchasing behavior. For future research it issuggested to research other green products in addition to organic food products and add other variables.

Abstract

This research investigates the technical eficiency of the banks listed in Jakarta Stock Exchange inIndonesia from year 2009 to 2012. This research also compares the levels of technical efficiency betweenBank Umum Milik Negara (BUMN), Bank Umum Swasta Nasional (BUSN) Devisa and Bank UmumSwasta Nasional (BUSN) Non Devisa by using non-parametric Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA).DEA was calculated using input orientation and variable return to scale. ANOVA is also applied tocompare efficiency between banks. The sample was selected using purposive sampling of 33 banks listed inJakarta Stock Exchange for period 2009-2012. The result of this study shows that BUMN is the mostefficient banks compared to the BUSN Devisa and BUSN Non Devisa. Furthemore, BUSN devisa is theleast efficient bank. Finally, this research found that there is a significant difference of the technicalefficiency between the groups of banks.
