Cakrawala: Jurnal Pendidikan
Cakrawala: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan (P-ISSN:1858-4497, E-ISSN: 2549-9300) is a scholarly journal aimed to provide a platform for both established and early-career researchers. This journal accepts research-based papers from the fields of Teaching and Learning; Language and Literacy Education; and Applied Human Development in the Context of Schooling with submissions accepted throughout the year. It is published biannually, May and November, by Universitas Pancasakti Tegal, Indonesia. Papers are all subject to peer review before being accepted for inclusion. Contributions for future editions are welcome. Starting from Vol. 12 No. 1, Cakrawala has been accredited SINTA 3 by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Ristekdikti) of The Republic of Indonesia based on Director Decree No. 23/E/KPT/2019 dated 08 Agustus 2019. The Decree is as an achievement for the Peer-reviewed journal which has excellent quality in management and publication and is effective for 5 years until 2023.

The purpose of this research is to know the impact of learning model of Auditory, Intellectual, Repatition (AIR) on the interest of learning science subjects in class III SDN 02 Banjaran. The background of this study was conducted to see whether there is an impact and change of interest in students' learning science subjects in class III SDN 02 Banjaran when the teacher uses the model of learning Auditory, Intellektualy, Repatition (AIR). The type of this research is descriptive qualitative research. The research method used is survey method, the technique used is interview and observation. Result of research based on interview and observation to teacher and student showed the impact of change of interest in science subject matter of weather material and its influence to class III student of SDN 02 Banjaran when the teacher in learning using learning model of Auditory, Intellektualy, Repatition (AIR).

This research aim to study the benefit of Social Science lesson, especially the History Subject, in grade VIII of SMP Kristen Satya Wacana. The background of the problem is the concern toward nowdays situation. Indonesian people have the ability to create high national cultur that born from the idea and creation of various ethnics. In this milenial era, the junior high school students are supposed to be ready to face the technology that growing rapidly. The data of the research are obtained from mix method. The sampling technique are Saturated Sampling and Purposive Sampling. This research shows that student apply positive values that given by the History teacher. This value are: tolerance (88,5%), religious (88%), well mannered (85%), appreciating others’ opinion (84,6%), and honesty (83%). Based on the observation, researcher found that students apply the moral values very well. The History learning is beneficial in motivating the character building.

The purpose of this research is to know the interest to join English language training for students of Learning Activity Group (SKB) Tegal Municipality Package C. The population of this research is students C Package SKB Tegal Municipality academic year 2017/2018. The population is twenty. This research was conducted using one sample. The sample is taught English course training. Type of research is Experimental. Instruments used in this research are questionnaire and test. After English training for sixteen meetings, participants were asked to fill in questionnaire sheet, where statement item in questionnaire ranged from measuring the interest of sample to English training they joined. Data analysis of this research was tested using a t-test to determine whether Hypothesis was accepted or not. Based on the calculation that t-count is 0.444 compared with t-table at 5% significance level and freedom level (df) is 19. From calculation data obtained that t-count> t-table is 0.641> 0.444. Therefore, it is concluded that hypothesis of the research is accepted. The conclusion of this research is that there is an increasing influence of interest to participate in English Language Skills Training to the Interest of Learning English for students of C Package SKB Tegal Municipality. Advice that can be given by the researcher is the English teacher is suggested to give English Training to SKB students, especially C Package students or equivalent of Senior High School.

The objectives of this research are to know: 1) Average learning outcomes of control class students; 2) Average learning outcomes of experimental class students; 3) The average difference between the students' control and experimental class learning outcomes. Experimental research method, with nonequivalent control group design. Sampling using purposive sampling amounted to 50 students. Techniques and data collection tools using measurement techniques in the form of test results learning. Data analysis using descriptive and inferential analysis. The results showed: 1) Average learning outcomes of control class students 72.93 good category. 2) Average learning outcomes of students of the experimental class of 79.87 categories is very good. 3) The difference of the average of control class learning outcomes with the experimental class using the t-test statistical test is Separated Variance obtained tcount = 5.932 and ttable = 2.064 with a significant level of 0.05. Then it can be concluded that there is difference of mean of result of learning of student of control class with experiment class.

This research aimed to find out the effect of personality development subject in responding science and technology in responding science and technology. The population of the research was 103 students. Sampling technique used was proportionate cluster random sampling, in this case each class was taken 70% of students to be participant and it was 40 students. Data was questionnaire and it was analyzed using descriptive and regression analysis, which had been tested its validity and reliability trough pearson product moment. The result of this research proved in general the participants had good Pancasila personality development. Students as young generation should keep nationality personality in responding the science and technology challange, and hold on Pancasila as national principle so the development of science and technology can help national development

This research aimed to understand the enhancing of student’s commitment in teaching learning by group guiding in eight grades F of Junior High School 1 Kramat year 2017/2018. Research method used classroom action research with service group guidance object, it had been done in two cycles, consisted of four steps, they were planning, acting, observing and reflecting. Research subject were student of eight grade F of Junior High School 1 Kramat year 2017/2018. The result showed that group guiding could enhance student’s commitment in participating teaching learning, so that this could be used to be alternative model of counseling guidance services

This study aims to determine the differences in learning outcomes act of writing articles before and after using the model Problem Based intstruction (PBI) in the 1st semester students Occupational Safety and Health Study Program. This research is a research of sex experiment with single pretest and posttest group design (One Group Pretest Posttest Design). The design only looks at student learning outcomes before and after treatment with Problem Based Intstruction (PBI) modeling in single group. Population and sample of this research are students of 1st semester Occupational Safety and Health Study Program STIKes Bhamada Slawi. While the test that will be used to measure the ability of students is the ability to write an article. The test is made in the form of a description. Learning outcomes were tested using the Liliefors normality test, and tested the hypothesis with the -t test. Based on the calculation of normality data is done, then obtained t count (th) of 36.047 dengandf 20 and p value of 0.000. The p value is smaller than the 5% significance level (p = 0,000 <0.05). Thus, the t-test results show that there is a difference in the ability to write articles between before and after applying the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) learning model.

This research was an action research to improve student’s interest and achievement in mathematics class of IX E SMP N 2 Tarub academic year 2015/2016 trough cooperative learning model jigsaw type. This research was done trough 2 cycles consisted 4 steps; planning, action, observation and reflection. The result revealed that the student’s percentage of interest was good and it was 72.2% in cycle I and 86.1% in cycle II. Based on the result, it could be concluded that cooperative learning model jigsaw type was proved to improve student’s interest and achivement.

The aimed of this research was to develop teacher’s competency in implementing jigsaw method. The participants of the research were teachers of third and fourth grade of SD Negeri Purwahamba 01 UPTD Dikbud Suradadi sub-district of Tegal regency. The data collection techniques were comprehension test and learning observation. The training was done through two cycles which each cycle consisted of three meetings. The results indicated the skill of implementing method was raised 16.93 point or 24.51% from 69.05 in cycle I and raised to 85.98 in cycle II. The training of comprehension concept was raised from cycle I to II 19.98 point or 31.54%, and it was 63.35 from cycle I and 83.33 in cycle II from success indicator 75.00. The conclusion of this research is jigsaw method can develop teacher’s skill.

Learning Social science (IPS) especially on atmospheric matter and hidrosfer found not yet optimal learning process, Students consider less interesting, boring and less perceived meaning by student in everyday life so that student attitude in IPS lesson very low. Teachers only explain the material contained in textbooks without regard to student activity and creativity, thus causing the students' learning ability to be inhibited. The aim of this action research was to improve student activity and achivement of social science subject by implementing cooperative learning model of Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) Type. Participant of the research was students of class VIIB SMP Negeri 2 Warureja, Tegal regency at second semester academic year 2016/2017. The result revealed that the implementation of cooperative learning model of Students Team Achivement Division (STAD) could improve students social science achivement. The improvement was 11 % from 72%at the first cycle to 83% at the second cycle. The improvement of achivement was 3% from 72% at the first cycle to 75% at the second cycle.
