Abstract

Business sustainability has become the company ambition to ensure their business existence in the long term. Companies are competing to adopt sustainability objectives in every aspect of their operations. In the context of sustainability, the term triple bottom line (TBL) is widely known as an integration of economic perspectives, environmental perspectives, and social perspectives that underlie business operations. PT ABC is a bottled water company that adopt sustainability objective since the supplier selection process.  It aims to ensure that only the right suppliers which deserve to enter the company's business ecosystem. Unfortunately, supplier selection criteria at PT ABC currently only focus on economic perspective. Environmental and social perspective have not yet significantly influenced supplier selection decisions. Therefore, this study aims to determine supplier selection criteria in PT ABC based on integration of economic, environmental, and social perspective. Integration of these three perspectives is important to strengthen supplier selection decisions alignment with business sustainability objectives. Researchers reviewed 100 scientific journals which discussed supplier selection criteria from 2012 to 2023. As a result, researchers set 13 selection criteria and 20 indicators that can be used to select suppliers at PT ABC.

Abstract

This research aims to examine of finding best choice type of contract for supporting critical engines operation and performance (including for maintenance and repairment). The researchers used Multi Criterion Decision-Making method with tool of Analytical Hierarchy Process, which data gather from survey and sampling from practitioners. They also used simplification of contract types from critical variable of contract such as price, quality, and delivery criterion. Criterion acquired from Forum Group Discussion with Subject Matter Expert. The research discovered that existing contracts vary and still many cases of unplanned shutdown lack of support from spare parts and other supports as a product form existing contracts.

Abstract

The study aims to assess the food safety practices of home-based online food sellers during the COVID-19 pandemic in the province of Biliran. The study employed a descriptive survey design, wherein the quantitative data from online sellers were collected through a structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The results of the study revealed that the majority of the online food sellers in the province practice proper food safety measures. Furthermore, the majority of the respondents believe that their level of knowledge regarding food safety practices is sufficient and they possess the necessary resources to implement safe food practices. The findings of the study suggest that there is a need to encourage home-based online food sellers to enhance their knowledge of food safety practices in order to ensure the safety of the food they produce.

Abstract

Domestic violence committed by husbands against wives in the perspective of human rights is a form of action that violates the basic principles of international human rights declaration. The desire for gender equality is expected to apply to the level of the smallest group, namely family life, especially the existence of the family has a very large influence on people's lives so as not to create gender bias. In this case, the family is the first unit and the smallest unit in forming a foundation to form individuals who have qualities so as not to commit violence. The research method used is a descriptive method of analysis, which is a method that has a function to describe or provide an overview of the object being studied either through data or through samples that have been collected as they are, then a form of analysis is carried out and makes a conclusion that applies to the public. The material used in this study is literature material.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of individual behavior and transformational leadership on innovative work behavior and employee performance at PT Astra International Tbk - HSO Kaltim2. This study uses a quantitative approach and utilized a sample of 128 informants, representing 100% of the total permanent employee population at PT Astra International Tbk - HSO Kaltim 2. The author used SmartPLS version 3.2.9 as the analysis tool and conducted data analysis using PLS in two stages: first, by evaluating the outer model or measurement model, and second, by assessing the inner model or structural model. The results of the research showed that individual behavior had a positive and significant impact on innovative work behavior, transformational leadership had a a positive and significant impact on innovative work behavior, individual behavior had a positive and significant impact on employee performance, transformational leadership had a positive and significant impact on employee performance, and innovative work behavior had a positive and significant effect on employee performance.

Abstract

Pamayangsari Beach provides facilities and infrastructure supporting fishermen's activities in Pamayangsari, such as docks, TPI, boats and fishing gear. Pamayangsari Port or pier is a fishing port that is quite actively operating. Fish loading and unloading activities at ports can also produce waste, both liquid waste and solid waste. This research activity was carried out to assess how much impact might arise on the biophysical environment around Pamayangsari Port, especially for its water quality parameters. The method used in this activity is a survey method with direct collection of field data where the water quality parameters measured include temperature, salinity, pH, DO, Brightness and Substrate. Based on the results of measuring water parameters, namely temperature, salinity, DO, pH, Brightness and Substrate, the waters around the port of Pamayangsari are still in the category of water quality standards of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry where the value of pamayangsari waters ranges from 31-34 ppt, temperature values are in the range of values of 28.5 – 29.1 °C, pH values are in the range of 9.72 to 9.97, DO values are 7.9-9.2 ml / g. for the brightness level of the waters around the port of pamayangsari is in the range of values  0.2 – 1.3 meters and the substrate type is dominated by sandy substrate.

Abstract

This article aims to examine how the policy transformation deals with the risk of government failure at the street-bureaucracy level. The researchers adopt a qualitative research method to address the question by seeking an in-depth understanding of a case study of the licensing process in Lombok Island, Indonesia. Researchers collect data through interviews, observations, and document analysis to understand the case comprehensively by focusing on government transformation process. The results show the policy transformation deals with the risk of government failure at the street-bureaucracy level by shaping the organizational culture, gaining support from various stakeholders, sharing valuable resources, and reforming the day-to-day administration. This study extends the emerging literature on street-level bureaucracy.

Abstract

Covid-19 has decreased the level of consumption or people's purchasing power and various domestic industrial sectors have been affected. The difficulties that occurred in these various sectors then encouraged the government to carry out economic recovery by implementing various policies, both fiscal, monetary and financial policies. One of the fiscal policies pursued is through statutory regulatory instruments through the Minister of Finance Regulation. The research was conducted at the East and North Kalimantan Regional Offices of the Directorate General of Taxes, specifically in KPP Pratama Samarinda Ilir, KPP Pratama Samarinda Ulu, and KPP Pratama Tenggarong. Researchers took three general answers from the answers of all respondents. The respondents' answers illustrate that the socialization related to tax incentives is not well known by taxpayers. Many taxpayers tend to think that this socialization is not important, so they do not follow it. There are those who also think that it does not really help them in administration. Information related to tax incentives is not fully known by taxpayers and the lack of tax information obtained. The quality of service received by taxpayers is classified as satisfactory and good and simple. Taxpayer behavior is still not supportive as can be seen from the low level of awareness. Taxation socialization has been carried out by the DGT, but the level of participation of taxpayers in this socialization is still low. Tax incentives for the Covid-19 pandemic have been underutilized, due to the opinion of taxpayers that the amount of incentives received is too small.

Abstract

Public Street Lighting (PSL) is one of the complementary road buildings used to illuminate the road. Solar Public Street Lighting (SPSL) is used in several places in Indonesia. Based on the background above, the objectives of this study are (1) to obtain the results of technical analysis of SPSL, (2) to obtain the results of economic analysis of SPSL development using investment schemes. The research was conducted in Manokwari Regency, West Papua. The research data were obtained from the results of measurements on solar panels to solar charge controllers and measurements from solar charge controllers to batteries in sunny, cloudy or rainy weather conditions from 08:00 WIT to 17:00 WIT. Economic analysis is carried out to obtain the parameters of Net Present Value (NPV), and Benefit Cost Ratio  (B/C Ratio) with discount rates of  10% and 0%. The results showed that (1) based on technical analysis SPSL in Manokwari Regency has met public street lighting standards, in accordance with  the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 27 of 2018 concerning street lighting equipment. (2) An economic analysis shows that the development of SPSL with investment schemes is not feasible because the NPV value  < 0 with an IRR of 10%, and a B/C Ratio of < 1. The construction of SPSL is economically feasible if the calculation of 0% IRR with the price of electricity per kWh reaches a value of IDR 14,411.32 or approximately ten times the price of Non-Subsidized PLN kWh electricity which is worth IDR 1,444.70.

Abstract

FGF21 has a role in modulating the uptake of macronutrients in the body. It is produced by the liver in response to high carbohydrate intake and acts as a signal to the brain to reduce carbohydrate intake. Liver is the main site for FGF21 production under the regulation of Unfolding Protein Response (UPR) in hepatocytes. FGF21 has an important role in regulating peripheral glucose tolerance as well as lipid metabolism. FGF21 expression in the liver depends on the PKR-like ER kinase (PERK)–eukaryotic initiation factor 2? (eIF2?)–activating transcription factor 4 (ATF4) pathway. FGF21 can regulate the expression of glucose transporter 1, and increase glucose uptake. In addition, research shows that FGF21 can reduce blood sugar levels and also body weight in mice1. FGF21 can also increase insulin sensitivity by suppressing hepatic glucose production and increasing hepatic glycogen content, so that this can improve systemic glucose intolerance and insulin resistance. The researchers attempted to discover the influence of Hibiscus sadariffa on FGF21 on Diabetes mellitus type 2 patients. The method used was literature review with data generated from various sources such as Google Scholar, Scopus, and Pubmed. FGF21 has an effect on the function of ? and ß cells in the pancreas organ. In the islets of the pancreatic organs of rats with DM, administration of FGF21 increased insulin levels, induced insulin secretion, and inhibited glucagon secretion.
