Abstract

A valid marriage in Islamic law has a number of binding rules that must be fulfilled by the ummah, if the marriage is to be performed. These rules in addition to aiming to distinguish marriages performed before the arrival of Islam also distinguish the practice of marriage carried out by other religions. The study would like to discuss hadits on marriage witness. This study used library research. From the results of the study and reading of data sources, the researcher used and made the Literal Interpertation, namely legal discovery applied by explaining the legal texts of marriage witnesses in hadith related to marriage witness law. It means that the witness of marriage that becomes law already has a legal text despite it being unclear or incomplete. The study found out that the hadith about marriage witnesses, as Imam Tirmidzi mentions, that the narration is not judged marfu', except by Abdul A'la but he also judged mauquf to be more correct and did not cause this hadith to be flawed, because Abdul A'la was a tsiqah so that his marfu judgment and its additions were acceptable.

Abstract

Digitalization has rapidly changed consumer behavior. People can easily buy items from the internet, including groceries, without having to pay for them. Due to this demand, several e-grocery platforms have emerged. High competition in the e-grocery industry is forcing the company to adopt a new marketing strategy. This study examined factors that might affect customer satisfaction with products or services provided by e-groceries. Moreover, the study was conducted to gather a more comprehensive view of online grocery purchasing in Indonesia by combining shopping value and e-service quality that impact customer satisfaction, repurchase intention, and e-WOM purchase and purchase value in Indonesia and the U.S. It shows that shopping value (utilitarian and hedonistic) and e-service quality have a positive impact on customer satisfaction. Moreover, if customer satisfaction is fulfilled, this leads to repurchase intentions and a positive word-of-mouth response to a customer's satisfaction level. A quantitative method was used in this study with the following criteria for respondents: they must live in Jabodetabek and have used e-grocery in the past three months. The data were simulated using the SMART PLS 4 software.

Abstract

Neovascular glaucoma (NVG) is a secondary glaucoma that is generally associated with a poor visual prognosis. The development of new blood vessels above the iris and iridocorneal angle can block the outflow of aqueous humor and cause an increase in intraocular pressure.  This study intends to analyze neovascular glaucoma and angle-closure glaucoma. This research is a case study conducted in a regional hospital in West Java. Researchers make direct observations in the field and collect data from observations and documentation. Researchers found that if acute angle-closure glaucoma is not detected and treated in its early stages, it can lead to temporary vision loss or blindness. There is loss of peripheral vision, followed by loss of central vision. There can be a significant increase in IOP in patients with peripheral patent iridotomy and flat front chambers of the eye. This condition is called malignant glaucoma. This condition is difficult to treat and progressively leads to blindness.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the knowledge, practice and attitude of street food vendors in Biliran Province, Philippines, towards food handling. Street food vending is a major source of livelihood for many Filipinos, but it is also a source of health risks due to improper food handling. The study aimed to identify the factors that influence the food handling practices of street food vendors in Biliran Province. A descriptive cross-sectional survey was conducted among street food vendors in Biliran Province. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data on street food vendors' knowledge, practice and attitude towards food handling. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the data. The results showed that most of the street food vendors in Biliran Province had inadequate knowledge and practice regarding food handling. Most respondents had a positive attitude towards food handling but lacked adequate information on the proper food handling practices. The results of this study suggest that street food vendors in Biliran Province need to be provided with adequate information and training on food handling to improve their knowledge and practice. The local government should also consider implementing health and safety regulations to ensure street food safety.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the cultural heritage of Biliran, an island province of the Philippines, and how it can be revitalized. The methodology used in this study was qualitative and included interviews with local stakeholders, observation of traditional practices, and a review of existing literature. The results indicate that the traditional practices of Biliran are in decline, with the younger generations showing little interest in preserving them. Factors contributing to this decline include the lack of financial resources, the impact of technology, and the absence of a formal education system for preserving traditional practices. The discussion of the results focuses on potential strategies for revitalizing cultural heritage in Biliran, such as increasing access to financial resources, promoting digital literacy among the younger generations, and developing a formal education system to teach traditional practices. The conclusion and recommendation of the study are that a comprehensive strategy should be developed to ensure the preservation of cultural heritage in Biliran. Such a strategy should include initiatives to increase access to resources, promote digital literacy, and develop an education system that is relevant to the local context.

Abstract

Using data from the Regional Education Office of Medan City and triangulating with Policy Actor from North Sumatera Education Quality Assurance (BPMP Sumut), this study explores the Learn From Home (BDR) Policy implementation in Medan City during the Academic Year of 2020-2021 with a qualitative assessment referred to guidelines from the Indonesia Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (MoECRT) Minister Circular Letter No. 04/2020 and Secretary General Circular Letter No. 15/2020. Findings indicated that during the Academic Year of 2020-2021, 88% of Primary students participated in BDR Online (Daring), while 12% in BDR Offline (Luring), with a case of 786 untracked students in two sub-districts. Public Schools tend to have higher Student-Teacher ratios than Private Schools. Across sub-districts in Medan City, 75% (10,010 teachers) are Honorary teachers, and 25% (3,311 teachers) are State Civil Workers (ASN). Collectively, the Total of Students per Study Group (Rombongan Belajar/rombel) follows the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation No. 22/2016 concerning Process Standards for Primary and Secondary Education with a ratio of students-rombel between 21 to 28. At Public Schools, the ratio of students-rombel is slightly exceeded the suggested ratio, with the total number of students per rombel between 22-29. However, the findings mainly vary when comparing schools in the same sub-district or across the sub-district. Based on qualitative assessment findings indicated that Learn from Home (Belajar Dari Rumah) Policy implementation was misaligned in two areas; (1)Data collection on students' BDR situation and (2) students' admission (PPDB) mechanism.
