Abstract

An intersection is the confluence of different directions of the road. In general, traffic conflicts often occur in intersectional areas. Congestion can occur due to the dense volume of vehicles and the absence of traffic lights. This study aims to determine the performance of an uncited intersection in accommodating vehicles passing through it. What this means is that this unlicensed interchange does not cause congestion due to the irregularity of the driver of the vehicle. Primary data collection in this study was carried out directly, namely recording the size of the road width at the intersection and taking survey data on the number of vehicles directly at the intersection. After analyzing the calculation results, it was found that the road capacity value (C) was obtained at 3469 pcu/hour. This value is below the maximum base capacity (Co = 5144.42 smp/h). Based on the results of calculation analysis from survey data, it shows the value of the degree of saturation (DS) of 0.67 sec/pcu. If the degree of saturation (DS) is <0.70, then the degree of saturation at the intersection falls into the low category. In the calculation obtained, the probability of queuing at the intersection (QP) is 19 - 38%.

Abstract

Transportation activity is a vital need for urban economic development. Mangga Dua, as a shopping center area and many other commercial points, has been supported by various modes of public transportation, one of which is the Electric Rail Train (KRL). The Bekasi area and its surroundings are a supporter of the transportation and agglomeration of Jakarta. Every day, many Bekasi people use the KRL for mobility activities to various areas covered by the KRL, including Mangga Dua. Even so, many private vehicle users still depend on road infrastructure which causes traffic congestion problems for Jakarta – Bekasi mobility. However, the fact that the Cikarang - Kampung Bandan KRL route is always busy indicates that KRL is still a solution for Bekasi - Jakarta transportation problem that many people choose. This research is intended to determine what factors influence the choice of KRL mode and what factors influence the choice of that mode. The method used is stated preference by collecting primary data using questionnaires from respondents who commute using Cikarang – Kampung Bandan Line. Data processing and analysis were carried out with the help of SPSS software version 16.0. The data processing and analysis results show that the factors influencing the choice of KRL mode are cost-effectiveness, safety, and convenience. Congestion and ease of access are the most influential factors afterward, and the effectiveness of travel time is the last order factor out of 5 factors in the most influential hypothesis. With the result that 71% of respondents chose KRL over motorbikes, it was concluded that KRL as a rail-based mode is a solution to the Jakarta - Bekasi transportation problem.

Abstract

The research aims to find out a number of things in terms of macro and micro data that affect the condition of the financial performance of Credit union in all provinces in Indonesia both in terms of internal factors and external factors both in terms of microeconomics and macroeconomics. Therefore, the assessment of the financial performance of Credit union throughout Indonesia has an important role to play in terms of profitability ratios which are influenced by a number of variables. Empirical evidence in this study shows that the total assets, the age of the cooperative and the number of members have a positive and significant relationship to the profitability ratio of return on assets of credit union in Indonesia. In addition, Number of Branches, Merger Activities have a negative influence and a significant relationship to the financial performance of credit union. Meanwhile, macroeconomic variables such as provincial GRDP do not have a significant relationship and influence on the activity performance of the return on asset profitability ratio of credit union. This finding has an important role in improving services to credit cooperative members who are SMEs so that they can increase their contribution to the percentage of economic growth.

Abstract

The availability of food in sufficient quantities, good quality of foodstuffs, and high nutritional value have a broad impact on the economy and the quality of human resources. Extension workers are one of the factors that cause development potential both in quantity and quality. Indonesia faces the fact that the number of extension workers is still lacking and the quality cannot be said to be adequate so it still needs to be developed. Based on the problems that have been formulated above, the objectives of the study are analyzing the farming behavior of rice farmers and the empowerment of farmers through counseling in an effort to increase the productivity of paddy rice. The results of the study on the level of paddy rice productivity in Noelbaki are high. One of the factors that cause the high productivity of rice is the increase in the ability of farmers to manage rice farming and allocate their resources and farmers' knowledge about the use of technology has also increased. The effect of counseling on the level of rice paddy productivity is positive because it has an impact on changing the behavior of farmers. The higher the empowerment through paddy rice farming counseling, the higher the productivity results achieved.

Abstract

Assessment of renal function is based on determination of serum creatinine and creatinine-based equations to assess GFR. However, this marker is not perfect or accurate, especially for longitudinal monitoring of kidney function in Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD patients). Decreased kidney function can be slowed or even anticipated with early detection, so as to avoid secondary complications. So it is important to find new biomarkers that can identify individuals at risk as early as possible. Plasma galectin-3 is a ?-galactoside-binding lectin expressed in monocytes, which plays an important role in inflammation, immunity, cancer, and is involved in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis, diabetes, renal fibrosis and asthma. Higher galectin-3 levels were associated with reduced eGFR in a cross-sectional study. Galectin-3 is essential in various biological activities including cell growth, cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, pre-mRNA splicing, transformation, angiogenesis, inflammation, fibrosis, fibrogenesis and host defense. Galectin-3 is a stable biomarker and is not associated with age, body mass index or sex. Galectin-3 is also useful for detecting the early stages of some diseases. Galectin-3 shows no circadian variation and increases slightly after exercise, returning to normal levels after 1-3 hours. Higher concentrations of galectin-3 may be associated with CKD development, indicating the potential for new mechanisms related to galectin-3 expression that may contribute to CKD development. Galectin-3 has also been reported to play an important role in renal interstitial fibrosis. Thus, galectin-3 inhibition may be a promising therapeutic strategy to prevent kidney disease progression.

Abstract

Achilles tendon is the most common site of lower extremity tendon rupture. Current treatment has not been able to restore the biological and mechanical properties of the tendon to pre-injure condition. One of the treatments used to improve Achilles tendon healing is the application of PRP.  The research would like to determine the effect of using Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) on the recovery of tendon rupture in animals model (wistar strain white rats). This is an experimental study with a post-test only control group design using animals model (white rats). This study was conducted at the INA Lab Laboratory, Padang in November 2022. The samples were divided into two groups, the control group and the treatment group where both of these groups were injured and sutured to the tendons. The control group was not given PRP, while the treatment group was given 0.1 cc of PRP. The PRP used was heterologous from healthy human blood. Observations were made after 1 week both groups were maintained and treated. There were 12 white rats which were divided into the PRP group and the control group. The PRP group had a lower histopathological score (5.83) than the control group (10.50). In this study, there was a significant difference between the recovery of tendon ruptures in animal model (white rats) that were given Human Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and experimental animals (rats) that were not given PRP (p value 0.007). PRP improves healing in Achilles tendon rupture.
