Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between endometriosis stages and Body Mass Index (BMI) among women treated at RSIA Soerya and RSIA Putri Surabaya. The research design employed is observational with a cross-sectional approach, involving 52 female patients diagnosed with endometriosis through laparoscopy. Data were collected on demographic characteristics, BMI, and endometriosis stages based on the rASRM classification. The results indicate that the majority of respondents fell into the normal to overweight BMI categories, with a predominance of stage IV endometriosis in this population. Chi-Square testing revealed no significant relationship between BMI and endometriosis stage, with a p-value of 0.298. This indicates that BMI status does not serve as a reliable indicator for assessing the severity of endometriosis stages.

Abstract

National food security demands the availability of sustainable sources of animal protein, one of which is through increasing the production of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). As a strategic fishery commodity, tilapia has rapid growth, high economic value, and wide adaptability, including in the floating net cage system (KJA) in salinity waters. However, the high cost of feed, especially from the protein content, is still a major obstacle in cultivation. Efficiency efforts can be made through the formulation of lower protein feeds with the addition of chromium yeast (Cr-yeast) which plays a role in increasing insulin sensitivity and improving glucose and lipid metabolism. This study aims to examine the effect of variation in feed protein levels (28% and 34%) and Cr-yeast supplementation on the growth performance and biochemical profile of tilapia blood in KJA. The parameters observed included survival rate (SR), absolute weight growth, daily growth rate, feed conversion (FCR), feed efficiency, protein retention, fat retention, as well as blood biochemical indicators (blood glucose, triglycerides, cholesterol, HDL, and LDL). The results showed that low-protein feed (28%) was still able to support the rate of survival, growth, and feed efficiency, which is comparable to high-protein feed (34%). The addition of Cr-yeast to feed 28% has been proven to increase the efficiency of energy metabolism through the protein sparing effect mechanism, which is a condition when energy needs are met more by lipids so that proteins can be directed to tissue formation.

Abstract

Dewi Sartika is an Indonesian education pioneer who fought for women’s right to education in the early 20th century. However, her values are gradually being forgotten, even at SD–SMP Dewi Sartika Bandung, which carries her educational legacy. The institution faces challenges such as weak identity, limited promotion, and low appeal to young audiences and tourists. This study focuses on designing 2D character concept art as part of a digital promotional strategy for the Living Museum Sakola Kaoetamaan Istri, in collaboration with Bandung Good Guide. The characters are designed as local tourists joining cultural walking tours, serving as visual representations that connect Dewi Sartika’s educational heritage with Bandung’s creative tourism. with design thinking approach, the research applies the empathize and define stages to understand audience behavior, and the ideate and prototype stages to visualize character designs using user persona–based character design approach within the framework of participatory design for character design. The results show that character-based storytelling supported by Bandung Good Guide’s media network is more effective than conventional methods in attracting young audiences and cultural tourists. This approach helps revitalize historical values while strengthening the museum’s role as a cultural heritage destination in Bandung.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Quality of Work Life (QWL) factors to enhance employee engagement at PT XYZ. Using a quantitative descriptive approach with purposive sampling of 52 respondents comprising marketing and non-marketing employees, the research employed Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and Chi-Square tests to evaluate the relationship between QWL factors and employee satisfaction. Results indicate that while employees demonstrate high intrinsic motivation and work satisfaction, collaborative communication and long-term commitment require improvement. IPA analysis revealed that career development and compensation are critical priorities for the marketing division, requiring immediate intervention, while communication, occupational health, and conflict resolution represent strengths that should be maintained. Chi-Square testing showed that most QWL factors have no significant relationship with employee tenure or education level, except for conflict resolution and workplace safety, which demonstrated significant correlations with employee profiles. The study concludes that strategic improvements in career development, compensation, workplace safety, and adaptive conflict resolution mechanisms are essential for enhancing employee engagement and reducing turnover rates at PT XYZ.

Abstract

Sugar palm (Arenga pinnata (Wurmb.) Merr.) is a multipurpose non-timber forest product that plays important ecological, socio-cultural, and economic roles in rural communities of Indonesia. This study aims to document ethnobotanical knowledge, traditional ecological knowledge (TEK), and plant part utilization patterns of sugar palm in Pusuk Lestari Village, West Lombok, Indonesia. Data were collected using a mixed-method approach through semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and field documentation involving 23 key informants selected using snowball sampling. Quantitative analysis of plant part utilization was conducted using the Plant Part Value (PPV) index based on reported uses. The results indicate that the community utilizes six main plant organs of A. pinnata, namely roots, stems, leaves, inflorescences, fruits, and seeds. Leaves exhibited the highest PPV value (32.14%), followed by stems (28.57%) and inflorescences (21.43%), reflecting a preference for renewable and multifunctional plant organs. In contrast, roots and seeds showed the lowest PPV values, indicating limited use of vital plant organs. Traditional tapping practices are guided by TEK, including phenological indicators, ritual practices, taboos, and the use of natural anti-fermentation agents, which collectively support sap quality, safety, and continuity of production. Economically, sugar palm sap provides stable daily income, while other products such as ijuk (palm fiber derived from the fibrous sheath), young leaves, and kolang-kaling (immature sugar palm fruit) serve as supplementary and seasonal resources. Overall, the integration of ethnobotanical knowledge and PPV analysis indicates that A.

Abstract

This research examines the necessity and implementation of the Integrated Smart Maintenance System (ISMS) as a strategic solution to enhance the aircraft readiness of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) amidst the growing complexity of regional and global security challenges. The study is grounded in the fact that the current aircraft maintenance system within TNI remains reactive, fragmented, and lacks predictive capabilities supported by artificial intelligence. These limitations result in high aircraft downtime, delayed logistics support, and inefficiencies that directly affect Indonesia’s air defense credibility. The study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method, combining in-depth interviews with TNI logistics officials, aircraft technicians, and defense industry stakeholders (PT Dirgantara Indonesia and GMF AeroAsia), along with comprehensive document analysis and literature review. The theoretical framework encompasses Regional Security Theory (Buzan & Wæver), Air Defense Theory, Maintenance Theory (Tjiptono & Diana), Information System Theory (McLeod), and strategic planning and forecasting concepts. The findings reveal fundamental weaknesses in TNI’s maintenance system, including poor data integration, the absence of predictive algorithms, limited spare parts availability, and weak coordination across services and industry. Nevertheless, SWOT analysis indicates strong opportunities for ISMS development, supported by defense modernization initiatives, national industrial readiness, and the advancement of digital technologies such as AI, IoT, and data analytics. ISMS is projected to increase aircraft readiness to 70–80%, reduce downtime, strengthen deterrence capability, and establish a digital maintenance culture within TNI.

Abstract

The story of the Prophet Yusuf (a.s.) in the Qur'an contains psychological values that are suitable to be studied from the perspective of preventive psychology. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of the relationship between Prophet Yusuf and his father, brothers, and Zulaikha as an illustration of the process of personality formation, emotional management, and self-control in the face of psychological pressure. The method used is a qualitative study with a literature study approach, namely studying the verses of Surah Yusuf. The results of the study show that the Prophet Ya'qub's affection and trust played an important role in building the moral fortitude of the Prophet Yusuf, while the conflict with his brothers reflected the negative impact of unmanaged envy. In addition, the temptation that came from Zulaikha showed the importance of piety and self-control as a form of prevention against deviant behavior. In conclusion, the story of the Prophet Joseph provides a preventive lesson about the importance of fostering moral values, managing emotions, and a healthy environment in maintaining an individual's psychological balance.
