Abstract

Drying is one of the post-harvest processes that plays an important role in the quality of simplicia. Curcuma domestica is a plant that has antimicrobial, antioxidant, antifungal and anti-inflammatory. The objective of this research is to know the effect of drying oven and direct sunlight and to know the drying method which is effective on the quality of Curcuma domestica simplicia. This research is an experimental. Simplicia drying method is oven and direct sunlight. Quality inspection of simplicia include determination of total ash content, acid insoluble ash content, ethanol soluble extract content, water soluble extract content, drying shrinkage, water content and curcumin test with TLC. The results showed that the drying method effected on simplicia quality. Oven drying method gives the best results and is an effective drying method. with a total ash content of 6,6%, acid insoluble ash content of 0,6%, ethanol soluble extract content of 12%, water soluble extract content of 12%, drying shrinkage of 10%, and an Rf value of 0,97.

Abstract

The study aims to: 1) analyze accessibility and mobility factors the planned development of educational facilities in Kendari City; 2) analyze strategy for planning the development of educational facilities for the next 10 years in Kendari City. The type of study is descriptive qualitative and quantitative research, carried out in all high schools and vocational schools in Kendari City totaling 30 schools spread over 10 sub-districts. The results show that: i). The closest distance to reach educational facilities is 579.091 meters, while the farthest is 175.236.993 meters; ii). The highest accessibility value classifications are 13,11 and 10, moderate classification 8, 7, and 6, while the lowest classification is 5, 4, and 3; iii). The priority for improving educational facilities in the next 10 years, namely in 2021 requires 44 units; in 2022 46 units; in 2023 47 units; in 2024 48 units; in 2025 49 units; in 2026 50 units; in 2027 52 units; in 2028 53 units; and in 2029 54 units. The closest distance to reach educational facilities is SMA Negeri 4 Kendari using 2-wheeled vehicles from the city center, while the farthest distance is SMA Negeri 8 Kendari. The classification of the highest level of accessibility is Baruga District, Wua-Wua, West Kendari. Meanwhile, Puwatu, Kadia, Kambu and Abeli ??Districts are classified as the lowest. The priority areas for improving vocational education facilities for the next 10 years are in Kambu District 1 unit, Baruga 1 unit, Puwatu 1 unit and Poasia 1 unit. While the high school level is Mandonga District 1 unit, Poasia 1 unit, Kambu 1 unit, Puwatu 1 unit. The Districts of Wua-Wua, West Kendari and Kadia do not require additional educational facilities until 2029.

Abstract

This research was carried out to analyze the results of drying fish with salt and fish without salt using sunlight. The subjects of this study were third-semester students of Non-Reg Campus STKIP Rokania. The research method employed in this study was descriptive qualitative research, which included interviews, observations, and data analysis. The process of drying fish with salt and fish without salt is not the same, according to the findings of the study; there is an additional salting procedure for drying fish with salt. Irregular sunlight makes the length of time the fish drying process cannot be determined. The results of drying fish with salt have dominant characteristics such as an oily texture, the color of the fish becomes white, and the fish has a salt odor. The characteristics of fish without salt have a hard texture, brownish color, and still have a fishy smell. Factors that affect drying time are sunlight, salt, and fish species. Handling fish such as drying fish needs to be done to prevent damage to fish quality.

Abstract

Human resource development in the health sector can be directed to the development of professional, quality and competitive human resources. This study aims to analyze the strategy of developing human resources at the Regional General Hospital Dr. (H.C) Ir. Soekarno, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The research method used is descriptive qualitative using Wernefelt's RBV theory. This research resulted in a Human Resource Development Strategy that has been carried out by the Regional General Hospital Dr. (H.C) Ir. Soekarno, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. Hospital institutions are responsible for improving the work ability, skills and work behavior of staff and employees for the better. Human resource development strategy is a form of appreciation from the leadership/management towards employees in the form of education and training. The development of human resources in superior service products that are competitive and competitive in advancing hospitals against competition in the province of the Bangka Belitung Islands.

Abstract

Clean water is essential for everyone in both household needs and the business world. Health management or world health organization is needed to get clear water. The objective of this technique application is to provide a valuable lesson that can be used in the community to address clean water issues. From the practice of using used bottles as clean water filters, the water that was initially cloudy turned into clear, odorless water. It is because the materials used are coral, stone, gravel, sand, palm fiber, and charcoal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work supervision on work discipline and teacher performance at SMK Negeri 3 Pekanbaru. Meanwhile, the research was carried out from April to June 2020. The data source for this research was the teachers of SMK Negeri 3 Pekanbaru with 51 respondents as the research sample. The data collection technique used the census method. In addition, the data analysis technique was descriptive analysis, validity and reliability tests, normality and linearity tests, and hypothesis testing, namely path analysis tests. The results of the study: Sub Structure 1 shows direct work supervision (X) has a significant positive effect on work discipline (Y 1) with an influence value of 35.9%. Sub Structure 2 shows that work supervision (X) and work discipline (Y1) has a significant positive effect on teacher performance (Y2) at SMK Negeri 3 Pekanbaru, with an influence value of 79%. Furthermore, the indirect effect shows; Work supervision (X) has a significant positive effect on teacher performance (Y2) through work discipline (Y1) teachers at SMK Negeri 3 Pekanbaru

Abstract

Planning is a key aspect in the stages of building and development of a region. The implementation of regional planning by the government and the Medan City secretariat is supervised by DPRD Medan City as part of the agency's supervisory responsibilities. The supervision carried out is an embodiment of the position of the DPRD, which is an element of the regional government together with the Medan City Secretariat. The supervisory function should be able to provide Medan city development planning that aspires to achieve community welfare. As well as uncover any abnormalities in the city's development planning process. The study was held at the Office of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) Medan City. This research was conducted at the Medan City DPRD Office. This study uses a qualitative method, with the number of key informants being 9 people, representing 9 factions in the Medan DPRD. The findings of this study show that the supervisory function in the regional planning process is not fully and extensively controlled. In addition, this study should be utilized as a guide for members of the DPRD in carrying out their supervisory functions.

Abstract

The form of persuasion can be in the form of using language styles that can influence the audience's mindset so that they are interested in trying and buying the products offered. The problem that will be discussed in this research is what style of language appears and the meaning of language style in advertisements for facial cleansers, skin softeners, toothpaste, instant noodles, tea, butter, detergents, wafers, instant drinks, paints, and dairy products. This study aims to describe language styles that appear and the meaning of language styles in advertisements for various products on television. The method used is the analytical narrative method. The technique used is the recording and note-taking technique. The origin of the data is obtained from television advertisements downloaded from YouTube. The advertisements were chosen at random from a total of 20 that were broadcast on private television for the previous four years, from 2018 to 2021. The results of the study showed that the language styles that appeared in the advertisements were in the form of repetition, rhetoric, hyperbole, personification, metaphor, simile, synecdoche, metonymy, repetition, paradox, climax, alliteration, and parallelism.

Abstract

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a tool that has the ability to protect a person whose function is to isolate part or all of the body from potential hazards in the workplace. This PPE consists of mandatory equipment used by workers in accordance with work hazards and risks used to maintain the safety of workers as well as those around them. In developing countries such as Timor-Leste, the issue of occupational health and safety still seems to be something that has not received the maximum portion of attention. The aim is to know and understand the use of Personal Protective Equipment for the Occupational Health and Safety of Employees of the Auto Vision Aimutin Company, Dili. This research is qualitative research with an analytical descriptive approach that serves to describe or provide an overview of the object under study through data or samples that have been collected as they are without analyzing and making conclusions that apply to the public. The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is very important for the health and safety of workers, while those who do not use personal protective equipment are at high risk of contracting disease in the work environment. The results of respondents' answers about occupational health and safety, occupational health, work safety, and personal protective equipment (PPE) are the majority of respondents answered strongly agree with the percentage value (100%), while to agree and strongly disagree respondents did not provide answers with a percentage value (0%).

Abstract

The implementation of health promotion programs is important because it is to increase adolescent knowledge about the dangers of smoking, improve adolescent perceptions of smoking, and change adolescent attitudes about smoking to not smoking anymore. The purpose of writing this article is to know and understand the role of health promotion in changing adolescent smoking behavior. The method used in this paper is a systematic review study. 80 articles (2011-2021) were collected in English based on the database of Google, Google Scholar, PubMed, DOAJ, and Emerald Insight. From the 7 articles analyzed, it can be found that the adverse effects of cigarettes on smokers and people around smokers are diseases; some of these diseases are cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, acute respiratory infections (ARI), hypertension, stroke, and various other diseases. This impact cannot be felt when initially consuming cigarettes in the early stages. The bad impact will refer to a decrease in individual productivity and performance. One of the strategic efforts to change smoking behavior is through health promotion interventions to change unhealthy lifestyles into healthy ones. Health promotion is one of the efforts to improve public health that focuses on promotion and preventive efforts to provide knowledge in changing adolescent smoking behavior so that they are able to maintain and improve their health status independently.
