Abstract

Aividjan Terminal is Keerom Regency's largest terminal. This terminal is located in Arso District, which is the center of regional activities (PKW) in Keerom Regency and serves as a Type B terminal classification. Aividjan Terminal has been in operation since 2015, but until now, it has not been functioning properly. The Aividjan Terminal, which was supposed to be a transit point or transfer hub for public transportation coming from the villages of each district and continuing on to Jayapura City, is not functioning properly. In fact, the Aividjan terminal is situated along the main road between Jayapura City and Keerom Regency. The Aividjan terminal integrates with the self-managed goods distribution market in Keerom Regency, a crucial hub for the community, particularly for trade and agricultural product distribution from the villages. The terminal is not working as expected, according to ground facts. The purpose of this research is to analyze the completeness of the infrastructure facilities at the Aividjan terminal to determine whether they meet the classification of type B terminals according to the Directorate General of Land Transportation. We conducted the research through field observation analysis, assessing the completeness of the infrastructure facilities at the Aividjan terminal against the standards set by the Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia. The analysis results reveal that the Aividjan terminal has only fulfilled 14 out of 40 requirements, or just 35%, of the terminal facility requirements stated by the Directorate General of Land Transportation.

Abstract

The Papuan community strongly identifies with its culture and customs. What happens in Papua in general, and specifically in Manokwari Regency as the oldest city in Papua/the city where the Gospel entered the Land of Papua, a city rich in history and culture, has not fully actualized its culture into the governance framework established in the regulations of the regency government, the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD), the Papuan People's Assembly (MRP), the Customary Council (DAP), NGOs, and the Customary Institutions (LMA). Law Number 21 of 2001 granted the Provinces of Papua and West Papua a special status. To this day, the uniqueness and distinctiveness of other regions in Indonesia do not guarantee that planning and development will follow and respect the culture and customs of the indigenous Papuan people, as stipulated in the Special Autonomy Law. Private sectors, state-owned enterprises, the government, and NGOs are rapidly developing their plans, but they do not incorporate the local wisdom of the community. The Papuan people are beginning to erode and neglect their culture, which serves as their symbol and identity. Therefore, the implementation of planning and development rules based on local wisdom, along with the modeling of forms, attributes, carvings, decorations, and ornaments, is a tangible manifestation of cultural preservation.Recognizing that the city of Manokwari's infrastructure development cannot ignore the long-standing values and cultural aspects is crucial. This embodies the aspiration and desire of the Manokwari people to be active participants in their land and culture, not merely spectators.

Abstract

The reproduction of commercial space over residential space is one of the fascinating phenomena occurring in the development of regions and cities, making it an intriguing subject for scientific research. This study aims to analyze and understand the implications for the development of spatial zoning patterns, specifically on Budi Utomo Street in Mimika Regency. This is evidenced by the initiative of business actors (Capital) to develop urban infrastructure, resulting in irregular patterns. This has motivated the emergence of unplanned spatial areas and cities, affecting spatial patterns, transportation, city character, and urban development directions. This study provides an overview of how commercial space can be reproduced over residential space on Budi Utomo Street and how to interpret the issues that arise in the context of spatial utilization patterns in regions and cities, including urban planning directions that consider local wisdom. It employs both qualitative and quantitative methods in descriptive analysis using cross-tabulation or Likert scale approaches, while also referencing several theoretical studies on regional and urban planning sciences.

Abstract

The development of an area will cause the demand for water to continue to increase along with thepopulation growth rate. The fulfillment of food needs and the activities of the population are always closely relatedto the need for water. The demands are unavoidable but must be predicted and planned for optimal utilization. The tendency that often occurs is the imbalance between water availability and water demand. To achieve abalance between water demand and availability in the future, efforts are needed to assess the components of rawwater availability and demand as clean water sources. The source of clean water for the people of Bonggo District, Sarmi Regency, comes from borehole pumps, shallow wells (pumps), and rainwater. The analysis results on the need for domestic and non-domestic clean waterin the Bonggo District in 2023 show a total requirement of 210.38 liters/day or 0.0024 m3/second. The need forclean water is expected to increase by 2043, with the total requirement for domestic and non-domestic clean waterreaching 285,820 liters/day or 0.0033 m3/second. The availability and need for clean water sourced from rawwater that can be utilized as clean water comes from pump bore wells as a suitable raw water source. In terms ofquantity, it is available 24 hours a day and throughout the year. The investigation results of the pump bore wellraw water source meet the clean water quality requirements according to Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001,Level II. This is supported by groundwater, obtained through the analysis of geological conditions, land cover, morphology, and river flow, which have a high to very high groundwater potential score, located in the northernpart of Bonggo District. Economically, in terms of quantity, rainwater can be used as clean water due to its sufficientavailability, with high rainfall (104,775 mm/year) and year-round service (continuity), and in terms of quality, theresults of rainwater quality tests meet the clean water standards according to quality standards.

Abstract

The Central Market of the Supiori Regency is one of the economic centres in the Supiori Regency. However, in its development, it did not turn out as expected. The market was abandoned by the traders whopreferred to sell along the streets of Sorendiweri City, the capital of Supiori Regency. This has caused the mainroad in Sorendiweri City, which is used as a trading area, to be filled with scattered trash. Vehicle drivers passingthrough the location become uncomfortable and disturbed because the vendors occupy half the road to sell theirgoods. This research has two objectives, namely, first, to identify and analyze the factors causing traders to preferselling on the main road within the city of Sorendiweri rather than at the Central Market, and second, to identifyand analyze the local government's policy strategies in building new infrastructure to improve accessibility to theCentral Market. This research uses qualitative descriptive analysis to analyze the data.

Abstract

A study has been conducted on the typology of earthquake disaster-prone areas in the city of Jayapura and the suitability of Regional Spatial Planning (RTRW) for land use capacity in the city of Jayapura. The study onearthquake disaster-prone area typology aims to determine the distribution of stability levels of the area againstthe risk of earthquakes. This study employs a weighting matrix method for area stability based on the Minister ofPublic Works Regulation No. 21 of 2007 concerning Guidelines for Spatial Planning of Volcanic Eruption andEarthquake-Prone Areas (Department of Public Works, 2007). The research results indicate that the final score forthe city of Jayapura is between 30 - 45, which falls into all stability categories: stable and less stable. Thepercentage of area for each category is 97.81% for Stable Type A, 1.91% for Stable Type B, and 0.28% for LessStable Type C. The typology of earthquake disaster-prone areas in Jayapura based on stability scores falls intocategories A, B, and C. The study on the suitability of the Regional Spatial Planning (RTRW) for 2013-2033 with the land usecapacity in Jayapura was assessed by scoring data on land capacity and land use, followed by an overlay analysis. This resulted in a land capacity suitable for development of 57,039.39 hectares, or about 60.48% of the study area, while approximately 37,272.96 hectares, or around 39.52%, were deemed unsuitable.
