Abstract

The existence of the DPRD Secretariat is an inseparable part of the government structure, both at the provincial and district/city levels, and is closely related to the performance of the DPRD. However, many parties still do not understand the role and function of the DPRD Secretariat (Setwan) in its daily activities. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the role of the DPRD Secretariat in supporting the implementation of the DPRD's administrative functions at the provincial level. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with the research location at the East Java Provincial DPRD Secretariat Office. The research informants consisted of 11 people including DPRD members, officials, and staff within the East Java Provincial DPRD. The data analysis technique was carried out using the triangulation method, namely matching data from interviews, observations, and supporting documents or other opinions. The results of the study indicate that in the implementation of the representative function of the Provincial DPRD, the role of the Secretariat of the East Java Provincial DPRD, especially the staff, is still limited to facilitating the needs of completeness to support the three functions of the DPRD. The DPRD Secretary who comes from the Civil Servant (PNS) and is tasked with serving the Provincial People's Representative Council, as well as the needs of the DPRD, has played a role but has not been fully optimal. Overall, although the staff only plays a role in facilitating the needs of the DPRD, performance improvements are needed so that they can be more careful in preparing all the needs of DPRD Members, especially in supporting the legislative function. In addition, it is recommended that staff participate in education and training programs more often to improve their competence. The factors that hinder the Secretariat of the East Java Provincial DPRD in supporting the functions of the DPRD include the existence of excessive division of labor or specialization within the organization and the lack of staff ability to carry out coordination effectively.

Abstract

Public Accounting Firms provide accounting services such as auditing, financial consulting, and taxation, which are divided into attest services such as auditing financial statements and non-attest services such as management consulting. Auditors have an important role in improving company performance by carrying out tasks according to agreed standards. Auditor performance evaluation is carried out to assess the effectiveness of the tasks that have been completed. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the relationship between independence and competence on auditor performance moderated by auditor ethics. This study uses a quantitative approach with 44 respondents from auditors at public accounting firms in Jakarta. SPSS is used as a data analysis technique. The results showed that independence and competence affect auditor performance. This study also examines the moderation relationship with the results showing that independence affects auditor performance moderated by auditor ethics and competence affects auditor performance moderated by auditor ethics.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the direct and indirect influence of experience and destination image on loyalty through customer value in the Ratu Intan tourist area, Amal Beach, Tarakan City, either partially or simultaneously. The sample in this research was 114 visitors to Ratu Intan Amal Beach. The data collection techniques and tools used were observation, interviews, literature and questionnaires. The research results show that the direct influence of experience is not significant on customer value, the direct influence of destination image is significant on customer value, the direct influence of experience is not significant on loyalty, the direct influence of destination image is not significant on loyalty, the direct influence of customer value is significant on loyalty. Indirectly, experience is not significant to loyalty through customer value, indirectly destination image is significant to loyalty through customer value. Simultaneously the experience and image of the destination have a positive and significant effect on customer value, simultaneously the experience and image of the destination have a positive and significant effect on loyalty. Based on this, the management of the Ratu Intan Amal Beach area can evaluate and arrange quality shopping facilities and public facilities so as to give a positive impression to visitors to the Ratu Intan Amal Beach area, Tarakan City.

Abstract

Regional economic development is a crucial aspect in determining the welfare level of society and the economic growth of a region. This study aims to analyze the economic performance of DKI Jakarta Province from 2019 to 2023 using the Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), and a combined LQ-DLQ model to identify leading and potential economic sectors. This research adopts a quantitative approach using secondary data, including the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of DKI Jakarta and the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Indonesia. The findings indicate that the financial services, real estate, and information and communication sectors are classified as base sectors with LQ > 1, signifying a comparative advantage over the national level. Meanwhile, the transportation and warehousing sector has a DLQ > 0 but LQ < 1, indicating growth potential for the future. On the other hand, the manufacturing, mining, and electricity & gas supply sectors have LQ < 1 and DLQ < 0, suggesting that these sectors lack competitiveness in DKI Jakarta.These results indicate that strengthening the service sector as the primary driver of DKI Jakarta’s economy must be continuously promoted through innovation, investment, and strategic policies. Additionally, specific policies are needed to develop potential sectors, such as transportation and warehousing, to enhance regional economic competitiveness. Thus, this study is expected to provide recommendations for local governments in formulating sustainable economic development strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Good Corporate Governance (GCG), firm size, and leverage on earnings quality in manufacturing companies in Indonesia. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method on 30 relevant journals, the research finds that GCG consistently has a positive impact on earnings quality through mechanisms such as institutional ownership and audit committees, which enhance the transparency and accountability of financial reports. Firm size also contributes positively, as larger companies tend to have better resources and oversight, although external pressures may affect the results. Conversely, leverage negatively influences earnings quality, as financial pressures often lead to earnings manipulation practices. This study provides comprehensive insights into how these three variables interact and influence earnings quality, while also offering recommendations for improving corporate governance practices and sound financial management in the manufacturing sector.

Abstract

Sustainable tax policy reform is needed to help MSMEs survive and grow in order to contribute more to the economy. The enactment of the Law on Harmonization of Tax Regulations (UU HPP) comes as a breath of fresh air for MSME actors in the HPP Law, where the regulation states that there is Non-Taxable Income (PTKP) for Individual MSME Taxpayers (WP OP UMKM). The problems often experienced by MSME actors who are run by individuals are related to tax regulations that often change, so that WP OP UMKM become less familiar with regulations that often change quickly. This study aims to analyze the comparison of the final PPh burden of MSMEs paid by WPOP before and after the enactment of PP 55 of 2022, as well as to find out whether the subjects in this study are aware of the latest changes regarding the threshold for Final PPh MSMEs.

Abstract

The development of a region is reflected in the level of economic growth, income and welfare of its population. This research aims to analyze the economic performance of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in 2019-2023 by using Location Quotient (LQ) Analysis, Growth Ratio Model (MRP), and Overlay Analysis. This research uses a quantitative approach with secondary data in the form of Bangka Belitung Islands Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Based on the results of the LQ analysis, the Mining and Quarrying sector is a basic sector. The results of the MRP analysis, the Transportation and Warehousing sector produces positive RPR (+) and positive RPS (+) values, meaning that this sector both in the reference area and the study area has high growth. And based on the results of the Overlay Analysis, there are three economic sectors that are dominant and superior sectors, including the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries sector, the Construction Sector and the Transportation and Warehousing Sector. The government can consider the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries sector the Construction Sector and the Transportation and Warehousing Sector to be further developed because these sectors are potential sectors when viewed from the results of their contribution and growth.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of product quality, price perception, and electronic word of mouth (EWOM) on purchase decisions with Brand Image as a mediating variable at Tomoro Coffee. This research uses a quantitative approach with data collection through questionnaires to 250 respondents who are visitors to Tomoro Coffee with Accidental Sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using the PLS-SEM method with the help of SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results showed that product quality, price perception, and EWOM have a positive and significant effect on Brand Image, and have a direct effect on purchase decisions. However, Brand Image does not have a significant effect on purchase decisions, so it does not mediate the relationship between the three independent variables and purchase decisions. These results indicate that purchase decisions are more directly influenced by product quality, price perceptions, and EWOM. These findings provide important implications for marketing strategies by focusing more on product quality, competitive prices, and utilizing EWOM to improve consumer purchase decisions.

Abstract

Profitability is one of the key indicators of a company's financial health and performance, reflecting its ability to generate profit through effective management policies, which in this study is measured by the Net Profit Margin (NPM). This research aims to examine the impact of working capital turnover, cash holding, and firm size on profitability. The study population consists of technology sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2020 to 2022. The sample selection was carried out using purposive sampling, yielding a sample of 10 companies that met the criteria. The hypothesis testing tool is IBM SPSS Statistics 2022 version 26, utilizing multiple linear regression analysis. The findings indicate that, partially, working capital turnover negatively affects profitability, cash holding has no effect on profitability, and firm size positively affects profitability.

Abstract

Employee performance may be a critical criterion in determining a government institution's success during the era of increasingly active open service transformation.This study uses a quantitative approach and a straightforward, illustrative methodology to investigate employment.Validity Test: KMO-MSA 0.847 (qualified 0.5), Bartlett's Test crucial (p 0.05), and stacking compute esteem of 0.5 for all explanation items Unwavering quality test, representative execution (α 0.894), work environment (α 0.883), work inspiration (α 0.892), and work teaching (α 0.875) The comes about of measurable investigation appeared that work inspiration had a positive and noteworthy impact on the execution of representatives of the Surabaya City Wellbeing Office with a way coefficient of 0.486 (p 0.05). With a track coefficient of 0.534 (p 0.05), the results of the speculation test show that work instruction has a significant and favorable influence on representational execution. The work environment has a significant and favorable effect on employee performance, as evidenced by a track coefficient of 0.428 (p 0.05). With an R2 of 0.724, the auxiliary demonstrate test suggests that work environment, work inspiration, and work instruction all simultaneously affect worker execution.
