Abstract

The Community Service Program in order to carry out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education aims to encourage active involvement of students in the community and provide them with work experience in community development efforts. One of the implementation of KKN Batch 50 Year 2024 was carried out in Pegat Bukur Village, which is one of the villages in Sambaliung District, Berau Regency. One of the problems in Pegat Bukur Village is a health problem that is focused on handling stunting. One of the activities is the implementation of Socialization on the prevention of Anemia and Stunting along with making Infographics. Young women as future mothers need to prepare themselves to give birth to a quality generation. The need for nutritional knowledge about stunting and its prevention in adolescents is one way to reduce stunting rates in the future. The purpose of this activity is to increase the understanding of adolescent girls regarding anemia and stunting. The benefits of this activity are to carry out early prevention of the potential for anemia and stunting, by equipping adolescent girls as prospective mothers who are expected to give birth to healthy children and avoid stunting. The Anemia and Stunting Socialization also included the provision of blood supplement tablets to students of SMP Negeri 5 Kampung Pegat Bukur. This activity is a work program that can be attempted as a form of stunting prevention from as early as possible. From the results of data processing from pretest and posttest scores, it can be concluded that the socialization carried out is proven to increase the understanding of adolescent girls related to anemia and stunting. It is hoped that the service team can work with third parties who have legality in handling stunting so that the program implemented can have a deeper effect on the community.

Abstract

Rempanga Village in Kutai Kartanegara Regency is one of many areas in East Kalimantan actively focusing on sustainable tourism development. This article discusses how river cruises can promote tourism while also promoting conservation. To protect the ecosystem, this practice is followed by fish nurseries and land revitalization. The purpose of this study is to see how river cruises can promote environmental conservation and improve the welfare of local communities. The approach used in this research study was descriptive qualitative and data were collected through documentation studies, interviews, and observations. The results showed that although river cruises have a lot of potential to grow, there are a number of obstacles that stand in the way. Combining tourism and conservation efforts can be a powerful way to address these issues. Fish nurseries and land restoration can not only help with environmental conservation, but also make a destination more attractive to tourists. According to the study findings, Rempanga Village's decision to introduce river cruises is a reasonable first step towards achieving sustainable tourism.

Abstract

This qualitative study investigates the nexus between Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) management practices and community resilience. The research aims to explore how effective leadership, strategic management, innovation, sustainable practices, and community engagement contribute to SME resilience and its implications for community well-being. Employing thematic analysis, the study systematically reviews literature on SME management practices and community resilience. Findings reveal that visionary leadership, adaptive management styles, strategic foresight, and risk assessment are pivotal for SME resilience. Innovation, digital transformation, research and development (R&D) investment, and adaptive capacity enhance SMEs' ability to navigate uncertainties and capitalize on opportunities. Moreover, integrating sustainability principles into SME operations mitigates risks, improves financial performance, and fosters community development. Collaboration, knowledge sharing, and community engagement initiatives strengthen SME resilience and contribute to socio-economic development. The study underscores the importance of integrating theoretical insights with practical implications to advance understanding of SME resilience and its role in building resilient communities.

Abstract

Ciwaringin batik is one of the distinctive batik styles from Cirebon Regency. Its uniqueness is expressed through narrative batik designs created by boarding school students and the values embedded in its motifs, writing techniques, and natural dyes. However, the value and price of this batik have not been complemented by packaging that effectively communicates the product's special qualities. This community service program, employing a research and development (R&D) approach, aims to create innovative packaging designs and informative leaflets that highlight the uniqueness of the product. During the research phase, observational studies and documentation analysis of the packaging used by artisans were conducted, followed by identifying accessible packaging innovation designs that the batik artisan community and cooperatives could easily adopt. The development stage involved designing packaging innovations and leaflets, along with testing and implementing these innovations. The program has resulted in three marketing innovations. A standardized black packaging color was introduced to showcase the elegance and sturdiness of Ciwaringin batik. This packaging is easily accessible to artisans and can be purchased in-store and online. Incorporating Ciwaringin's regional name as a logo represents the geographical indication and is collectively owned by all artisans. Using written narrative stories to convey information, enhancing access to and dissemination of knowledge about the batik.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of quality control system in the presto milkfish production process and identify factors that affect the quality of the final product. The research was conducted using Six Sigma methodology. The research shows that there are several important points in the manufacturing process that affect the quality of the final product. Factors that contribute to quality degradation include cooking time variation, process temperature variation, raw material quality, and operator skills. By implementing a quality control system on the production process that includes standardization of the production process, inspection of raw materials, operator training, regular monitoring, and reduction of defects in milkfish. This study provides recommendations for continuous improvement in the presto milkfish production system to maintain product quality consistency.
