Baznas hopes that scholarship recipients can convey and introduce this program to other communities, and the community will be aware of the obligation to pay ZIS through Pohuwato to manage the funds collected. The Baznas Pohuwato can carry out routine socialization to people experiencing poverty so that the community will be aware of the activities and programs managed by the National Amil Zakāt  Agency (BAZNAS), especially the scholarship assistance program for poor children at all levels of education. In distributing scholarship assistance, the National Amil Zakāt Agency (BAZNAS) would pay attention to the timeliness of scholarship distribution so that the waiting time for recipients is not too long. Keywords: management; distribution; scholarship; education.

Abstract

With the development of sharia banks, one of the effects is the existence of competition among sharia banks. This study analyses the efficiency of sharia business units of private banks in Indonesia. Understanding efficiency is essential because if banks perform consistently with total efficiency, the fewer inputs they use, the larger their output. Total earning assets measure the output, while the inputs used are total deposit and total operating costs. A data envelopment analysis with input-oriented and variable returns-to-scale is used to accomplish the objective. The result shows that three of the seven sharia business units under investigation are considered the most efficient. This indicates that the sharia business unit does not have to have the highest output value to be the most efficient one. It also must have low values of inputs. Keywords: data envelopment analysis; efficiency; Indonesian private bank; sharia business unit.

The ḥifẓ al-nafs dimension has relevance to the SDGs on aspects of good health and well-being, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, sustainable cities and communities, and climate action. Ḥifẓ al-‘aql dimension has relevance to the SDGs in quality education. While the ḥifẓ al-naṣl dimension has relevance to life below water and life on land. The dimensions of ḥifẓ al-māl have relevance to the SDGs in the aspects of no poverty, zero hunger, decent work and economic growth, industry, innovation, and infrastructure, reduced inequalities, and responsible consumption and production. In realizing the SDGs, this research implies that Muslim countries must consider the maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah approach.

The type of research conducted by the author is field research by taking the research location at the Solo Peduli Foundation and using a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection methods are by interview and observation. The online fundraising strategy is done through digital methods to make it easier for donors to donate and transfer via ATM/mobile banking. Offline fundraising is carried out by donating funds directly and participating in seminars, recitations, and other activities involving many people. In offline fundraising, the main strength is the direct collection of funds assisted by caring ambassadors. Besides that, several obstacles are still faced in fundraising, namely regarding execution commitments, overcoming resistance, selling (selling/conveying information), and digitalization. Furthermore, the fundraising strategy in mobilizing humanitarian programs is felt to be quite effective in helping people who are in poverty. Keywords: fundraising strategy; poverty; program.
