Abstract

Permasalahan lingkungan hidup menjadi salah satu permasalahan yang urgen untuk diatasi mengingat permasalahan lingkungan ini memunculkan ketimpangan keruangan. Salah satu upaya preventif untuk mengatasi ketimpangan keruangan adalah melalui pembelajaran yang menumbuhkan kesadaran akan pentingnya lingkungan hidup. Makalah ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan tentang ecoliteracy dalam konteks pendidikan IPS. Ecoliteracy menggambarkan kesadaran tentang pentingnya lingkungan hidup. Taraf ecoliteracy merupakan sebuah capaian di mana seseorang yang sudah sangat menyadari betapa pentingnya lingkungan hidup, pentingnya menjaga dan merawat bumi, ekosistem, alam sebagai tempat tinggal dan berkembangnya kehidupan. Kajian IPS melibatkan berbagai disiplin ilmu, baik di dalam maupun di luar disiplin ilmu-ilmu sosial, untuk membentuk kemampuan sosial. Salah satu kemampuan sosial berkaitan dengan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan. Guru IPS memegang peran penting untuk literasi peserta didiknya. Guru IPS yang memiliki literasi baik diharapkan mampu menanamkan literasi ekologis kepada peserta didiknya.

Abstract

Human and the environment is an integrated system to form ecosystems in which humans are physically and socially dependent. One concern is the content of social studies related to the ecological interactions between humans and the environment. In the factual context, ecological competence developed in social studies only at the level of knowlegde ecological, moral, and behavior, which has not been valued and embodied in the form of concrete to protect and sustain the environment. The results showed no differences in ecological competence for aspects of knowledge, attitudes, and skills between the pre-test and post-test. The study recommends that the implementation of learning social science education in a broader scope based on local environmental issues are found in everyday life. Schools cultivate ecological competence through the formation of habits, role modeling, and school behavior and culture form a joint motion which is in line with the curriculum green and green living. Permalink/DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.15408/sd.v2i1.1409

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang bagaimana pengetahuan lokal dalam sebuah masyarakat tradisional ternyata mampu menjadi benteng pertahanan dari ancaman bencana alam. Pengetahuan lokal ini mencakup mitos, hikayat, hingga arsitektur bangunan. Modal kebudayaan ini diyakini juga ada dalam masyarakat tradisional Luwu. Dengan menggunakan metode semiotika komunikasi, penelitian ini akan mencari dua hal mendasar berikut ini. Pertama, mengidentifikasi pengetahuan lokal yang ada pada sejumlah wilayah rawan bencana di Tana Luwu. Kedua, menemukan relevansi antara pengetahuan lokal dalam menafsir tanda-tanda alam (natural signs) yang berfungsi sebagai peringatan dini terhadap kemungkinan datangnya bencana alam (natural desasster). Hasilnya, penelitian ini menemukan pengetahuan lokal yang begitu kaya dalam masyarakat Luwu, baik dalam bentuk mitos, perilaku hewan, jenis tumbuh-tumbuhan tertentu, pembacaan iklim, hingga arsitektur bangunan. Namun sayangnya, pengetahuan lokal ini tidak lagi lestari dalam kehidupan masyarakat, hanya segelintir orang tua kampung yang mampu membaca dan meyakini hal tersebut. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya upaya serius dari para pihak pemangku kepentingan untuk merancang sebuah sistem komunikasi anti bencana berbasis pengetahuan lokal.Keyword: Semiotika Bencana, Pengetahuan Lokal, Masyarakat Luwu

Abstract

Abstract :This article was written to provide an illustration of how the role of moral quotient in Dayak society in order to fulfill basic needs in Bukit Segaloh Village, Kayan Hilir Subdistrict, Sintang Regency, West Kalimantan. Data collection in this research, researcher did the data collection with descriptive qualitative method by interview, observation, documentation and library research. Dayak Society kept the tradition/ ancestral beliefs in life. In an effort to meet the basic needs of the Dayak society embodied the values  of the so-called moral intelligence (moral quotient). Moral quotient on the Dayak Society in the Bukit Segaloh village can be seen in order to fulfill basic needs of families through livelihood , the marketing system of agricultural / plantation , and forest products as well as activities in other social communities. Dayak Society’s economic system is essentially still in traditional, that is relies in natures.Abstrak : Artikel ini ditulis untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai bagaimana peranan moral quontientSuku Dayak dalam upaya pemenuhan kebutuhan pokok di Desa Bukit Segaloh Kecamatan Kayan Hilir Kabupaten Sintang Kalimantan Barat. Untuk memperoleh data pada penelitian ini, peneliti melakukan pengumpulan data dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui teknik wawancara, observasi, studi dokumentasi dan studi kepustakaan. Masyarakat Suku Dayak memegang teguh adat istiadat/kepercayaan leluhur dalam kehidupannya. Dalam upaya memenuhi kebutuhan pokok pada masyarakat Suku Dayak terkandung nilai-nilai yang disebut kecerdasan moral (moral quontient). Moral quontient Suku Dayak di Desa Bukit Segaloh tampak pada upaya pemenuhan kebutuhan pokok keluarga melalui mata pencaharian, sistem pemasaran hasil pertanian / perkekebunan, dan hasil hutan serta aktivitas dalam komunitas sosial masyarakat lainnya. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine whether contextual learning can improve learning independence, students 'short essay writing skills, and students' formative test scores. During the Covid-19 pandemic contextual learning provided meaningful activities for students with independent learning. The elements of contextual approach learning applied in distance learning are self-study note-making, independent learning, and authentic assessment in the form of essay writing skills. Students' understanding of the subject matter with independent study notes can help students write short essays about the material that has been studied. Self-study notes and short essays are authentic assessments. The research method used is action research carried out in 2 research cycles. Based on the data from the first cycle, it was obtained 80% learning participation, 58% independent learning note assignment collection, and 60% essay writing. The value of independent study notes is 79, essay score is 77, and formative test is 80. Based on cycle II data, it is found that learning participation is 88%, collection of independent study notes assignments is 78%, and essay writing is 80%. The value of independent study notes is 86, essay score is 84, and formative test is 88. The discussion of this research can be seen in the differences in data in cycle I and cycle II which have increased even though there is a decrease in learning participation between pre-cycle and cycle 1. Based on the data and analysis carried out, it can be concluded that contextual learning can improve student learning achievement indicated by an increase in the value of independent study notes, essay writing skills and students' formative tests.Keywords: contextual learning, independent learning, writing skills

Abstract

Background of this research was critical thinking ability of students who have not developed maximally in the learning process. During this time, the implementation of learning is dominated by the use of lecture methods that are more teacher-centered activities. This research used quantitative approach, quasi experimental method with design Nonequivalent Control Group. The population in this study was all students of class X with the number of 68 students. The data collection tools used was test questions, observation sheets, questionnaires, and documentation. Based on the data analysis, the following research results are obtained: (1) learning implementation in the experimental class and control class showed excellent results, need good preparation, and was supported by good interaction between teachers and students. Testing the hypothesis proves that there is a significant difference of critical thinking ability of experimental class and control class on the final measurement (posttest) is indicated by z count> z table or 2,30> 1,96 which means Ho refused and Ha accepted. (2) Result of student’s questionnaire response after done data processing, obtained average value 90,66% with very strong category, so it can be concluded that active learning strategy of peer lesson type can be applied as one of strategy in economic learning.

Abstract

Young people in Muslim majority countries are a valuable asset and investing in them can bring tremendous social and economic benefits. They also face many challenges that undermine their ability to develop and contribute to society. To make the most of the opportunity, these countries must find ways to increase the human and social capital of their respective youth populations. Youth participation in formal and non-formal educational settings such as schools and community programs has been identified as an effective approach to enhancing young people’s experiences. Building on initial findings from Malaysia, the current paper puts forth the concept of youth-adult partnership (Y-AP) as a strategy for schools. Y-AP has been shown to enhance personal agency, empowerment and connection to community, three attributes that are critical for Muslim youth to play more substantive roles in national development. The paper further attempts to frame Y-AP within an Islamic socio-historical lens, drawing on examples from the Prophet Muhammad SAW and the early Muslim community to show how developmental relationships were central to the social and educational culture within the Prophet’s community. Permalink/DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.15408/sd.v2i2.2810

Abstract

Abstrak Dalam penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan yaitu agar mahasiswa mempunyai kecerdasan sosial lebih baik, dan meningkatkan pemahaman, berpengaruh positif dalam berinteraksi serta dapat mengembangkan hubungan ketika berinteraksi dengan mahasiswa yang lain. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian kualitatif studi kasus. Subyek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah Mahasiswa dan Dosen pembelajaran IPS. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis Interaktif.. Hasil dari pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPS berbasis nilai karakter ini bisa dikatakan berjalan dengan baik, baik mengenai respon dari Dosen pembelajaran IPS maupun dari Mahasiswa sendiri yang mampu membangun ketrampilan bersosialisasi dengan mahasiswa lain.

Abstract

A space is where humans live their lives on earth. Its presence is essential for human life, as sustained or damage to the environment will affect humans who live in it. To this day Kampung Naga village continue to keep their living space preserved as practiced to their houses and other buildings. This paper aims to reveal the Sunda local wisdom contained in building houses in Kampung Naga village. Data collected through surveys, personal involvement, interviews, and literature. The data were analyzed qualitatively. Kampung Naga houses and other buildings are construedted according to the teachings of the ancestors. Shape and architecture of the building adapts to local conditions. For them life is not in nature but living with nature. These values are noble values that need to be maintained and actualized in everyday life of modern humans in protecting the environment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Transformational Leadership on Employee Performance of BUMN in Bandung City with Organizational Citizenship Behavior as a Moderation Variable. Researchers want to demonstrate the ability of moderating variables (Organizational Citizenship Behavior) that can strengthen or weaken the independent variable causal relationship (transformational leadership) to the dependent variable (performance of BUMN employees). Data was taken from two state-owned companies in the city of Bandung, namely PT. Kimia Farma (Persero) Tbk and PT. Bio Farma (Persero) because these two SOEs received BPEA awards in 2017 with the Good Performance category. Data collection techniques using questionnaires. Data analysis method used in this research is Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results showed that there was an effect of transformational leadership on the performance of BUMN employees in Bandung City by 5.9%. There is also the influence of transformational leadership and Organizational Citizenship Behavior on the performance of BUMN employees in Bandung City by 37.7%. In addition there is an influence of transformational leadership on the performance of BUMN employees in Bandung City with Organizational Citizenship Behavior as a moderating variable of 37.8%, this shows that with the existence of Organizational Citizenship Behavior as a moderating variable, the influence of transformational leadership on the performance of BUMN employees in the City of Bandung to increase from 5.9% to 37.8% increasing by 31.9%.Keywords: Transformational Leadership, Organizational Citizenship Behavior, BUMN Employee Performance.
