Abstract

Global economic volatility is characterized by uncertainty in global monetary policy, geopolitical conflicts, commodity price fluctuations, and inflationary pressures, impacting the financial sector, including Islamic banking in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the resilience of Islamic banks and the factors influencing their ability to adapt to external shocks. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method. This approach was chosen because it is relevant to explore concepts, theories, and empirical findings related to this research. The study results indicate that Islamic banks are relatively more resilient due to their asset-based financing model and profit-sharing principles, but still face exchange rate risks, liquidity risks, and pressures on financing quality. Strengthening risk management, product innovation, digitalization, and support from macroprudential policies are key factors in maintaining the stability of the Islamic banking sector in the face of global economic volatility

Abstract

This study analyzes the effectiveness of digital-based zakat distribution in empowering the economy of mustahik through an Islamic economic perspective, where the governance transformation from conventional to digital systems is proven to enhance the accuracy, transparency, and speed of productive fund distribution. Utilizing a qualitative narrative-analytical approach through case studies and the Miles and Huberman interactive model analysis, the findings reveal that the implementation of features such as digital scoring, real-time monitoring, and e-wallet integration significantly minimizes mistargeting and accelerates the distribution of business capital. The impact is evident not only in the strengthening of accountability and financial literacy among mustahik but also in the improvement of the economic independence index and the reduction of failure risks for micro-enterprises. Theoretically, the digitalization of zakat represents the actualization of the maqāṣid al-sharīʿah principles, specifically ḥifẓ al-māl (preservation of wealth) and distributive justice. This confirms that institutional ijtihad through this hybrid governance model is highly strategic in realizing inclusive and sustainable Islamic economic development

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a strategic necessity in modern public administration, not merely as a technological innovation but also as an instrument of governance reform. Batu City, with its tourism- and agriculture-based economy, faces diverse and complex demands for public services. The local government has responded by developing several applications, such as Lapor Batu, Among Batu, e-Puskesmas, and Batu Among Tani Teknologi (BATT). Nevertheless, the implementation of these digital services remains constrained by limited ICT infrastructure, low levels of digital literacy, weak inter-agency system integration, and inadequate bureaucratic capacity. This study aims to describe the implementation of digital transformation in Batu City and to analyze its contribution to the realization of adaptive and responsive governance. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using literature review and document analysis, with data drawn from government policy documents, SPBE reports, scholarly publications, and national surveys. The findings reveal that digital innovations in Batu City have expanded into the areas of complaints management, licensing, healthcare, education, and cultural services, yet they remain at an early stage with limited effectiveness. The conclusion highlights that digital transformation in Batu City holds potential as a foundation for adaptive and responsive governance, but requires stronger system integration, institutional capacity, and citizen participation to achieve inclusive and sustainable benefits.

Abstract

In this rapidly evolving digital era, social media has emerged as one of the most powerful tools for influencing public opinion, disseminating political knowledge, and encouraging youth engagement in the democratic process. This study examines how social media helps young people in Indonesia become more informed, engaged, and politically participatory. Various sources, including related books, research reports, internet articles, and scientific journals, were analyzed as part of the desk research. According to various studies, social media has two functions: as an effective tool for political education and as a platform for young people to express themselves politically. On the other hand, social media platforms can give rise to problems such as the spread of hoaxes, political division, and a fast-paced information culture. This study demonstrates that critical awareness and digital literacy are crucial for young people to use social media effectively to uphold democratic values.
