Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of starch duckweeds (Salvinia molesta) on performance of egg production and feed efficiency quail (Cortunix-cortunix japonica) study was conducted in the village of quail farms Tenaru, District Driyorejo, Gresik for 30 days. The study was conducted experimentally by using a completely randomized design with 6 treatments (0%; 2.5%; 5%; 7.5%; 10%; 12.5% ​​formulation duckweeds flour in the ration, four replications and each replication contained three tails. The results showed that administration duckweeds flour in various formulations of feed rations had no significant effect on the productivity of quail eggs (P> 0.05), but significant effect (P <0.05) on feed intake, feed conversion and feed efficiency quail. Giving duckweeds flour to dose 12.5% ​​increased feed intake amounting to 28.99 grams /quail, feed conversion by 3.08 units, but lower the feed efficiency of 30.14%. Thus the results of research, administration kiambang flour in feed rations are not recommended in livestock quail. Abstract

This study on the effect of bioinsektisida lime peel to the death of pests armyworm (Spodoptera litura) and biomass plants green cabbage which aims to determine the effect of the death of armyworm (Spodoptera litura) and biomass plants green cabbage, in addition to providing information to farmers to take advantage of natural ingredients, namely lime peel. Lime peel contains limonene that can be used as a biopesticide. Limonene is a poison that spreads to the nervous tissue, which causes paralysis (paralysis) and will eventually die. This study is based on a completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of 4 treatments 6 replications with 192 samples armyworms and 24 of mustard. Methods of data analysis in this research is test Annova and continued to LSD. This study was made with a concentration of 0%, 3%, 6% and 9%. Lemon peel extract obtained by maceration for 3 days using 96% alcohol. The treatment of lime peel extract by spraying 1ml / 100ml. Results showed no effect of lime peel extract biopesticide against armyworm pest mortality, at a concentration of 9% showed a significant number of deaths. Abstract

Has conducted research to determine the influence of Afrika Leaf Extract (Vernonia amygdalina delile) and Binahong Leaf Extract (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis) against Staphylococcus aureus growth inhibition zone. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Afrika leaf extract (Vernonia amygdalina delile) and leaves Binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis) against Staphylococcus aureus growth inhibition zone. The material used in this study is the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus, variations in the concentration of leaves and leaf binahong Afrika. The method used in this research is the diffusion disc with a completely randomized design (4 treatments 6 replications). Leaves Afrika have active compounds are efficacious as antibacterials are flavonoids, tannins, saponins and terpenoids. Binahong Leaf Extract has antibacterial compounds are flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids and essential oils. The results showed that the leaf and leaf afrika binahong with concentrations of 0%, 40%, 60% and 80%. Has an influence on the growth inhibition zone of Staphylococcus aureus. Abstract

Laserpuncture exposure at the reproductive acupoint of broodstock catfishes female shown to speed maturation of the gonads. To accelerate the gonadal maturation broodstock catfish due to exposure needed laserpuncture adequate feed, especially protein content results. if laserpuncture exposure is not balanced feeding containing adequate protein, the lower quality of eggs produced. The purpose of this study to examine whether time, the level of protein in the feed and laserpuncture exposure broodstock catfish female can increase the value of GSI. RAK experimental study using a 3x5x2 factorial pattern was repeated 3 times. Factor 1 is the feed protein level of 30%, 35%, and 40%. Factor 2 is pre-spawning time, weeks 0, 3rd, 6th and 9th. Factor 3 is laserpuncture exposure and control. To get the value of GSI by weighing the weight and gonads. The sample used in this study broodstock catfish 1-year-old female with a weight range from 1100 to 1400 grams have never spawned. GSI value analysis using ANOVA Gen Stat program version 15. Results showed laserpuncture exposure at the reproduction acupoint of which is offset by the provision of feed protein level of 30%, 35% and 40% and the length of time proved to have a significant effect (P <0.05) increase in value GSI. The length of time, giving the feed protein level of 30% and laserpuncture exposure proved effective to increase the value of GSI, gonad maturation time can be accelerated three weeks compared to the control group. Abstract

Bakteri Escheria coli merupakan indikator utama sanitasi lingkungan termasuk air konsumsi. Telah dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan serbuk kaktus centong (Opuntia cochenillifera) terhadap kejernihan, jumlah bakteri total dan E.coli air sungai. Sebanyak 5 perlakuan konsentrasi serbuk kaktus (0, 0,5,1,0, 1,5 dan 2,0 g/l) masing-masing ditambahkan ke dalam 1 l air sungai Jagir. Setelah diaduk merata, campuran dibiarkan selama 3 hari pada suhu ruang, dan disaring menggunakan kertas saring. Pengukuran kerjernihan filtrat dilakukan menggunakan TDS meter, jumlah bakteri total dan E. coli diukur menggunakan metode plate count agar. Semua perlakuan konsentrasi serbuk kaktus diulang 4 kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan serbuk kaktus berpengaruh signifikan (P<0,05) terhadap kejernihan, jumlah bakteri total, dan E.coli. Penggunaan serbuk kaktus 2,0 g/l signifikan (P<0,05) dapat meningkatkan kejernihan air sampai 21,5 pt-co, serta menurunkan jumlahbakteri total sampai 1,2 x 102 dan E. coli sampai 0,1 x 101. Hasil penelitian dapat simpulkan bahwa serbuk kaktus centong dapat digunakan sebagai bahan dasar pengolahan air bersih untuk meningkatkan kejernihan dan menurunkan jumlah bakteri total dan E. coli.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to menegetahui effect of leaf extracts of lime (Citrus aurantifolia) and extract lemongr ass (Cymbopogon nardus) on mortality of larvae of Aedes aegypti and A. aegypti. The design of this study used a sample of 500 larvae of A. aegypti who has reached the third instar, the test was divided into 2 groups, each group has the same concentration of test ie 0, 0,5, 1,0, 1.5, and 2,0 g / l. Each test group contained 25 larvae in the leaf extract solution of lime and lemongrass with replication performed 4 times. Based on the analysis of the effect of the leaf extract of citrus and lemon grass extracts and concentrations that meet the criteria in the ability to kill larvae were started at a concentration of 0, 0,5, 1,0, 1,5, and 2,0 g/l. Concentration of extract lime leaves and lemongrass extracts can kill mosquito larvae A. aegypti is the lime leaf extract concentration of 2,0 g / l with an average mortality of larvae as larvae 18,75. While the lemongrass extract concentrations that kill larvae more effectively is 2,0 g / l with an average mortality of larvae as larvae 16,25. T-test results showed that there was no significant difference (P> 0,05) between the leaf extract lemon with lemon grass extract against mosquito larvae mortality rate A. aegypti. Can be concluded that the leaf extract of lemon and lemongrass naymuk effect on mortality of larvae of A. aegypti. Abstract

This study aims to prove the effect of the concentration of fruit juice puch as nata de apple production materials to the production of nata,suppleness and organoleptic characters.The design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CDR) consisting of 3 perlakuan namely 500 gr,750 gr, 1000 gr.1 liter each were taken and repeated 6kali and added sugar 10%, urea 0,5% and 10% starter.The results showed the concentr ation of water and fruit juice apple significantly (p>0,05) on the influence the textur of nata with the highest combination of treatment 750 gram,and the lowest yield on treatment 500 gram.Concentrasi of water and fruit apple was also significanty (p>0,05) on the production of nata with combination treatment 750 gram,for odor and flavor character,but for the color of the panelists preferred the combination treatment nata 500 gram. Abstract

The research aimed of this study to sought determine effect pre-treatment of peel seeds, sunflower on bioethanol and fermentation efficiency in hydrolysis medium of peel sunflower seeds. The study was carried out experimentally using a completely randomized design. Skin pretreatment sunflower seeds on the production of bioethanol by Saccharomyces cerevisiae consists of pre-treatment controls, in stream for 3 hours at 1210C, hydrolysis H2SO4 and NaOH hydrolysis. The result of this study should pre-treatment have (P<0,05) effect of bioethanol production. Abstract

Has done research on the utilization of straw jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus) as a raw material jackfruit yogurt. The study was conducted using 400 g straw jackfruit divided into 4 treatment groups of each 100 g. Each treatment group was added water with straw comparison with water 1:3, 1:4, 1:5, and 1:6 in order to obtain the concentration in the medium straw jackfruit 333, 250, 200, and 170 g / l. Furthermore, from each treatment group divided by 5 as replication. After fermentation for 72 hours with a temperature of 28-30 &ordm; C, analyzed the number of bacteria, nitrogen, carbon, glucose, viscosity and assessment of sensory characteristics (odor, taste and color) jackfruit yogurt straw. The results showed that the use of straw as a raw material jackfruit yogurt affect the amount of bacteria, nitrogen, carbon, glucose and viscosity but had no significant effect (P < 0.05) on sensory characteristics (odor, taste and color) yogurt. Abstract

Testing has been conducted on pesticide seed water extract of papaya (Carica papaya L). This research aims to study the killing power of papaya seed extract as a botanical pesticide against mosquito larvae of Anopheles and Aedes aegypti. Larvae of Aedes aegypti and Anopheles mosquitoes respectively 350 were divided into 11 groups. Furthermore each group were sprayed with water extract of papaya seeds with 0, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 140, 160, 180, and 200%. The results showed that the water extract of papaya seeds can kill the mosquito Anopheles larvae and A. Aegypti. Concentration of papaya seed extract is effective in killing mosquito larvae Anopheles and A. Aegypti respectively 80% and 180%. Keywords: papaya seeds, Anopheles and Aedes aegypti
