Abstract

Indonesia is a country  whose population is majority Muslim. Thus, the aspects of syari’ah (Islamic law) should color the religiousity of Indonesian Muslims. However, the syari'ah is not static, it is  dinamic as it always  gets in contact with social aspects. In this context, the reactualization and reconstruction of Islamic  jurisprudence should be continually performed. The reactualization of the Islamic jurisprudence related to pragmatic values covering the patterns  of  daily life of the Muslims while the reconstruction the Islamic jurisprudence thought more focuses on conceptual intellectuality values. Based on the  relationship of  the idea of  reactualization and reconstruction of the Islamic jurisprudence, it can be concluded that the latter is an infrastructure, while the renewal is a means to realize the function of  syari'ah (Islamic law) as a social control and social engineering.

Abstract

Prior to the emergence of the Compilation of Islamic Law, the Islamic law employed and applied by the Religious Court to  resolve disputes,  are found in the fiqh books  written and complied  by  Islamic jurists several centuries ago.    As a result, the fiqh books  employed by the jurists of  the Religious Courts are different from one another.  The Compilation of Islamic Law contains the rules of Islamic law in accordance with the conditions of the legal requirements and the legal awareness of Indonesian Muslims. The Compilation of Islamic Law is a manifestation and result of application of the existing various sects of fiqh and is equipped with Indonesian scholars’  fatwa in response to the problems that arise so that the the Compilation of Islamic Law can be used as a reference in solving the problem of marriage, inheritance and endowments.

Abstract

This paper deals with the significance of the methods of calculation (ḥisāb) and observation (ru’yah) in determining the beginning of month in Islamic calendar, especially months of  Ramaḍān, Shawwāl and Żū al-Ḥijjah, since these months have relationship with sacred Islamic rituals. However, Muslims should review and reexamine the basic method employed in determining  beginning of month in Islamic calendar. Classical dichotomy that has led to controversy until these days relates to ḥisāb and ru’yah. Some said that ru’yah method is final and decisive while ḥisāb is only supporting ru’yah. Others said that it is ḥisāb that is final and decisive, while ru’yah is used to support the method of ḥisāb. From this dispute, there should be a meeting point; that is, ru’yah should be supported by accurate science of ḥisāb.

Abstract

In essence, marriage is one of the things desired by everyone, male or female, in their lives. It is also seen as a change of status in a person from living in single life into family one through the media dealing with this. In terms of kinship, the relationship between society and family can occur through marriage and mate selection in order that a new family is established. This is an event in people’s life which is considered important and sacred in their lives. For ethnic group of Kaili, marriage will give a meaning in community’s life, which is represented in the phrases of Kalinese language, such as, among others, momboli tanda tuvu (leaving consecrated life).

Abstract

This article attempts to elaborate and to explore the educational background of caregivers in the Social Orphanage Children (PSAA) which belongs to the social Islamic organizations (CSOs) in the Province of Jakarta. The study which was conducted in Jakarta applied a survey method. There are 35 (thirty five) respondents from nine (9) PSAA who participated in this research. The study found that caregivers do not fully follow the principle of professionalism in the work. It can be identified by the education of the caregiver that the majority of caregivers only graduated from senior high school which is amounted to 71.43% and 28.57% of caregivers had received training related to child care and only 2.86% of caregivers who have an educational background in social work or social welfare. These will potentially cause the child to be in one cycle of misguided, thus inhibiting the development of the child.

Abstract

Learning neuroscience offers an alternative to the development of intelligence potential learners linguistic and logical through physical movement, rohamiah, physical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalist and existential. The learning system includes morality codes of learners are packed in Islamic boarding school education curriculum with teaching presentation of cognitive, affective and psychomotor. Islamic education boarding school curriculum neurosains apply learning methods for the development of intellect learners so in the formation of character can maximize the performance of sense. In neuroscience of learning, students are given the opportunity to actively construct knowledge through learning. Thus, neuroscience learning combined with a variety of disciplines so integrated into the mainstream of the formation of character.

Abstract

This articel was conducted based on the consideration that the current emotional intelligence is still indispensable in shaping the behavior of students. With specification on the subjects of Islamic education, this article tried to connect the emotional intelligence of high school students on Islamic Education. This article examines to determine how Islamic religious education policies that have been implemented in high school and to determine the relevance of emotional intelligence of high school students against the teachings of Islam. To get a complete this article. libarary research approach.  Data was collected through literature study includes studying, studying and citing theories or concepts from a number of literature. Books, journals, magazines and others. It can be applied to educate children who are emotionally intelligent with the ability to recognize self-managing emotions productively utilize emotions, empathy, and the ability to build social relationships.

Abstract

This study aims to look at how the Institute of Baitul Mal Hidayatullah (BMH) branch Malang manage and distribute philanthropy funds (zakat, infaq, ṣadaqah and waqf), for the empowerment of poor children education . The approach in this research is qualitative approach, the research design is case study. The results of this study indicate that philanthropy funds have been collected by BMH Branch Malang will be distributed to the four main programs these are, Propagation Program, Education, Social and Economic. The management of philanthropy funds for poor children's education empowerment distributed on three programs: Berpadu (Beasiswa Peduli Anak Dhuafa), PPAS (Pusat Pengembangan Pendidikan Anak Sholeh), and PSD (Pengembangan Sekolah Dhuafa).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the method of teaching Arabic language proficiency by using a guide book Al-'Arabiyyah Bayna Yadaik and uncover its effectiveness in improving student proficiency in Arabic for the students of Ma'had Al-Birr Makassar. This research based field (field research ) because the data obtained from the respondents and informants more use of techniques and methods of field collection data. Respondents involved in this study were 50 students who were randomly selected by the criteria that had been predetermined. The results showed that the book Al-'Arabiyyah bayna Yadaik quite effective in increasing student mastery of Arabic language proficiency at Ma'had Al-Birr Makassar, as demonstrated by the results of tests conducted on respondents.

Abstract

This article examines Abdulrahman Wahid and his thoughts on the indigenization of Islamic education. The approach used is content analysis to examine the works Abdurahman Wahid, and the historical approach to study his biography. The results showed: first, education indigenization of Islam according to Wahid , mengedapankan more substantive learning, where the education was no tolerance values, local culture-based education and Islamic education rahmatan li al- Alamin. Second, a good religious education is education that adapts to local culture, non-formal religious education in the surrounding communities and that indigenization Islamic education desired by K.H. Abdurahman Wahid.
