Abstract

This study investigates the effect of digital innovation on MSME performance in Indonesia, focusing on the mediating role of digital adaptive capability and the moderating effect of MSME collaboration. Drawing on the Dynamic Capabilities Theory, a structural equation model was developed and tested using data from 100 MSMEs across various sectors. The results indicate that digital innovation has a significant direct effect on performance and also enhances adaptive capability. However, adaptive capability itself does not significantly influence performance, suggesting it may require complementary factors to be effective. Contrary to expectations, MSME collaboration did not moderate the effects of innovation or adaptive capability on performance, implying that collaboration must be strategically aligned to be beneficial. The findings highlight the need for MSMEs to focus on internal digital readiness while being cautious about over-relying on external partnerships. The study contributes to the digital transformation literature in emerging economies and provides practical guidance for MSME policy and strategy. Future research is recommended to use longitudinal data and explore additional moderators or mediators in the innovation–performance relationship.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of emotional labor on employee performance through work-life balance as an intervening variable at PT Bank Mandiri Pamekasan Regency. This study contributes by clarifying the mediating role of work-life balance in the context of banking services. A quantitative approach was used with a saturated sampling technique involving 54 front-line employees. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. The results showed that emotional labor had a positive and significant effect on employee performance and work-life balance, while work-life balance also had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. In addition, work-life balance mediated the relationship between emotional labor and employee performance, which implies the importance of emotional management and work-life balance in improving sustainable employee performance.

Abstract

Fiscal autonomy is a fundamental prerequisite for regions to implement sustainable and equitable development. This article analyzes strategies for strengthening the fiscal autonomy of Central Kalimantan Province (Kalteng) by focusing on optimizing Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD) and implementing research-based budget priorities to fund programs in the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD). This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, through secondary data analysis from Regional Budget (APBD) documents, RPJMD, and related literature. The findings indicate that Central Kalimantan's revenue structure still depends on central government transfers, with a relatively limited contribution from PAD. Potential PAD sources such as local taxes, levies, and natural resource management have not been maximized. Furthermore, the budgeting process has not fully internalized research evidence as a basis for setting priorities, potentially leading to inefficiencies. This article proposes an integrative strategic framework covering: (1) diversification and intensification of the PAD base with a green economy approach; (2) strengthening local government fiscal capacity; (3) institutionalization of an Evidence-Based Planning and Budgeting System; and (4) strengthening public accountability and participation.

Abstract

The era of technological disruption requires organizations to continuously adapt to increasingly dynamic and complex market conditions. Digital transformation demands not only the adoption of advanced technologies but also the development of agile managerial practices and adaptive organizational cultures. This study examines the influence of Agile Human Resource Management (HRM) and Adaptive Organizational Culture on organizational competitive advantage in technology companies in East Java. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed using a survey method, with data collected through Likert-scale questionnaires from technology companies that have implemented agile HRM practices and adaptive cultural values. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 25, including reliability, normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity tests, partial t-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The findings reveal that Agile HRM has a positive and significant effect on competitive advantage by enhancing adaptability, collaboration, and operational efficiency. Similarly, Adaptive Organizational Culture significantly contributes to competitive advantage by fostering flexibility, continuous learning, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration. The R² results indicate that both variables jointly explain a substantial proportion of the variance in organizational competitive advantage.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) and promotion on customer satisfaction and revisit intention at Ibis Styles Bekasi Hotel. The study focuses on guests who have stayed at the hotel at least twice, with data collected from 120 respondents using incidental sampling. Questionnaires were distributed between October and December 2025. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS. The results reveal that promotion and revisit intention have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. Furthermore, e-WOM, promotion, and customer satisfaction positively and directly influence revisit intention. However, e-WOM is found to have an adverse direct effect on customer satisfaction. In terms of mediation, customer satisfaction significantly mediates the relationship between promotion and revisit intention, while it does not mediate the relationship between e-WOM and revisit intention. These findings highlight the critical roles of promotional strategies and customer satisfaction in enhancing revisit intention in the hospitality industry, while suggesting that not all forms of e-WOM positively affect customer satisfaction.
