Abstract

The study intends to be a model of employee engagement in the digital era. The term "digital" is related with its evolution. Aspects of the study included the pattern of the grand theory employed, the pattern of the unit of analysis, the pattern of the antecedents and effects of employee engagement, the pattern of methodologies and techniques employed, and research gaps that must be addressed in the future. ScienceDirect and Sage Open Journal data were used. The filtering used rayyan.ai and thematic reading with Nvivo 12 plus, resulted in the discovery of 22 relevant publications. As a result, there is a need to investigate cross-management impacts, larger environmental influences, and gender issues. Search engine constraints, a lack of detail in describing gaps, and the degree of effect are all mentioned. Future research areas were also indicated, including the need for meta-analysis and more detailed study on the given gap patterns

Abstract

To teach students effectively, they must be engaged. This study investigated the combined significant influence of teaching quality and democratic behavior on students’ engagement in learning science. The study employed a non-experimental quantitative design using a descriptive-predictive technique.  It utilized a total of 117 respondents from one of the private schools in Davao City who answered the adapted survey questionnaire. Using Mean, Pearson r, and Multiple Linear Regression the following findings were made: the level of teaching quality, teacher’s democratic behavior, and student engagement were high; teaching quality and student’s engagement have a significant relationship; teacher’s democratic behavior and student’s engagement have a significant relationship. Results implied that the indicators are oftentimes observed and significantly influenced students’ engagement. Furthermore, both teaching quality and democratic behavior have a combined significant influence on student’s scientific engagement. In conclusion, both variables have impact students' engagement in learning science. Thus, it is recommended that the two be utilized by the teachers to improve students’ engagement in science education.

Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate what models could be developed in analyzing the Room Occupancy Rate (ROR) of accommodation establishments in the Davao Region. This investigation used a quantitative research method utilizing empirical analysis. The statistical tools used were the Bai and Perron multiple structural break test and One Least Squares (OLS) regression. Secondary data was utilized and the sources were from various government agencies and reliable websites. The key findings of this investigation include overall mean of 29.53% for the ROR of accommodation establishments in Davao Region between 2016 and 2022. Results revealed that the presence of three breakpoints happened in January 2019, January 2022 and March 2020. The OLS regression and Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) test result exhibit that the sources and magnitude of the structural breaks are Public Safety with permanent effect, Regime with permanent effect, Earthquake with transitory effect and Health Crisis with permanent effect. The conclusions of this study imply that it just simplifies the actual events occurring in the Davao Region’s Accommodation Industry.

Abstract

The manufacturing industry is a complex sector that requires control over each of its resources, one of which is human resources. One of the indicators that can be used to control human resources is by calculating productivity efficiency. In this study, productivity efficiency was carried out using the Cobb-Douglass production function approach method on the example of the company PT Harapan Jaya Multibusiness. The results of the analysis showed that during the period January-October 2023 the value of productivity efficiency achieved was 15% which indicated low productivity efficiency. After further investigation of the causes of low efficiency, we found two indicators that are the main causes of low productivity efficiency, namely the t-start value of capital expenditure of -23.9871 and p-value of 87%. The low t-start value indicates that the sales ratio is not directly proportional to the cost of capital invested or the cost of capital investment. At the same time, the high p-value indicates that excess labor is involved in the production process.
