Abstract

This study aims to identify the root problems in developing income and expenditure systems in the PT ABC. This research uses qualitative methods with the Root Cause Analysis approach. The issues that arise in the company will be analyzed using the Fishbone Diagram. The result of this study explains that some problems occur in the company. The procedures, business processes, income, and expenditure in the enterprise are still done manually, so it takes a long time to analyze the factors of Man (user), Material (material/supporting documents), Machine (tools used), and Method (procedures/systems running). Based on the result of this study, PT ABC should have a website that can be used to process the cycle of income and expenses in real time. In this case, website design will be carried out to make it easier for companies to archive, create supporting documents, and report income and expenses. This finding will help PT ABC strengthen its internal control and increase the effectiveness of the company's business process. The difference between this research and previous research is that it uses a fishbone diagram approach to dig into the roots of problems that occur in companies. In the last research, no one had used a rooting approach and focused only on system development, so the issues that occurred needed to be described in detail. The limitation of this research is its focus on the root cause analysis of the revenue and expenditure cycle in manufacturing companies

Abstract

The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in early 2020 had profound and far-reaching impacts on global economies and financial markets. As countries implemented lockdowns, travel restrictions, and various other measures to curb the spread of the virus, financial markets experienced unprecedented volatility. The stock markets, in particular, exhibited fluctuations that were both dramatic and complex, challenging traditional understanding and analysis.  This study aims to examine the factors influencing the bullish movement of the Composite Stock Price Index (CSPI) during the Covid-19 pandemic. Drawing data from reputable sources such as the Indonesia Stock Exchange, The Central Bureau of Statistics, and Bank Indonesia, the research focuses on monthly records of the CSPI, inflation rates, and interest rates. Employing multiple regression analysis as the analytical tool, the study explores the intricate relationships between these variables. The findings present intriguing insights into the interplay between economic factors and stock market behavior. Notably, the research reveals a positive and statistically significant link between inflation and the bullish movement of the CSPI amidst the Covid-19 context. This suggests that rising inflation rates are associated with an upward trend in the CSPI. Conversely, the study uncovers a negative correlation between interest rates and the bullish trajectory of the CSPI during the pandemic. Higher interest rates are found to curtail the bullish movement of the index. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the financial dynamics during challenging periods, offering valuable insights for investors, analysts, and policymakers seeking to navigate the complexities of the stock market amid Covid-19.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between debt policy and tobacco excise tax rates with stock prices. Data sources were obtained from data published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and company websites. This research uses multiple regression analysis tools. The research found that first, the debt policy variable has a positive effect on the stock price of tobacco company Gudang Garam (GGRM), while for Sampoerna Company, the debt decision contributes negatively to the stock price. Second, the excise tax rate variable has a negative impact on tobacco stock prices. Third, debt policy and excise tax rates simultaneously affect tobacco stock prices. The implications of these findings indicate that company managers must carefully design debt policies to create optimal capital structure, as the effects of debt decisions can vary between companies. Government policies related to excise tax rates have a direct impact on stock market performance in the tobacco industry, meaning that investors and stakeholders must consider regulatory dynamics as an important factor in investment decision-making. The results of this research provide evidence that excise tax rate adjustments not only affect state revenues but also affect the stability and valuation of companies related to the tobacco industry in the capital market.
