Abstract

Corn is a food commodity as a staple food besides rice in Indonesia. Corn is a plant that can be planted in rice fields or gardens. The aim of the research is to study the SWOT analysis of corn plants spread across Nganjuk Regency. The research method uses quantitative descriptive. The results of the SWOT analysis of corn plants in Nganjuk Regency are as follows: average corn production, total annual production capacity is 203,402 tons. The obstacles that occur in the field are the Human Resources management system for warehouse managers, the operations of warehouse institutions are relatively low. The market network is considered to be less extensive and the sense of trust in corn farmers is still low while purchasing prices from farmers are low, therefore farmers sell their products in local markets. Supply chain management is also still very low. So it is very necessary to improve the management of farmer empowerment, and the quality of all parties involved must be improved in order to produce good results.

Abstract

Early childhood education has a strategic role in human development. Therefore, quality education is needed. This study aims to determine the implementation of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) / (PAUD) quality assurance management in Indonesia. A qualitative approach is carried out using the literature review method. The results show that implementing primary education quality control (ECCE) in Indonesia is crucial in ensuring a bright future for Indonesian children. In addition to the External Quality Assurance System, such as accreditation is also known as the Internal Quality Assurance System. Until now, SPMI has only been carried out at the Primary and Secondary Education and Higher Education levels. Until now, quality assurance has only been managed externally at the ECCE level, namely through BAN PAUD. As for the PAUD unit itself, there is no formal legal oversight of the implementation of SPMI. So we can see how the quality of ECCE in Indonesia until now is still very far from expectations.

Abstract

Cosmetics play a significant role in the daily routines, especially for teenagers in the city of Medan. However, concerns regarding the safety of cosmetics, particularly those containing harmful substances, are on the rise. This research aims to identify the attitudes and cosmetic advertisements influencing the selection of hazardous cosmetics by teenagers in Medan. Involving 385 respondents aged 17–22 in Medan, distributed across 18 districts, this study employs a cross-sectional approach and statistical analyses such as chi-square and multiple logistic regression to measure the impact of specific variables on the behavior of cosmetic selection among teenagers. The research findings indicate that attitudes and cosmetics advertisements play a crucial role in the decisions of cosmetic selection among teenagers. Therefore, actions to enhance positive attitudes, the availability of safe cosmetic products, and stricter regulation of cosmetic advertisements need to be considered. All of these measures are expected to assist teenagers in making wiser choices and supporting their health in selecting cosmetic products.

Abstract

Business is often discussed in all forums and media, as evidenced by many teaching methods, and business is now a required course in many higher and basic universities (Lockma & Schirm, 2020). In this research, we use several methods using partial least squares equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to estimate and confirm the given hypotheses. This study uses Google Forms to collect information on employment and secondary school students in Mojokerto Regency. The respondents to this study are 346 respondents from three schools targeted for this study. Entrepreneurship education has therefore been shown to be incapable of explaining social media use or entrepreneurial skills. However, theories of entrepreneurship can explain social media use and entrepreneurial skills. Additionally, market perception will have a greater impact on the market if it is improved using social media as an indicator. At the same time, although business education is strong using social media as an intermediary, it does not appear to have a greater impact on the ability to do business.

Abstract

One of the most challenging issues that EFL learners encounter is vocabulary learning. Teaching methodologies, nowadays, take into consideration learner autonomy compared to the past that depends totally on instructors. The aim of the study is to address the importance of learning autonomy in teaching English as a foreign language (EFL) in Libyan context as teachers can facilitate learning process by demonstrating certain strategies where necessary. This study also focuses on exploring how students experience out-of-class autonomous vocabulary learning.  A questionnaire and interview were used in this study.  The questionnaire is meant for the students and the interview is for teachers. The participants of the study were 15 students and 5 teachers. The findings reveal that learners are eager to be enhanced to learn vocabulary autonomously and need to be guided by their teachers using effective strategies. It is very important to apply autonomous learning to develop vocabulary knowledge as students lack lexical competence.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of person-job fit and person-organization fit on turnover intention with employee engagement as an intervening variable. This research is quantitative research with an explanatory type of research. The sample used was 114 respondents who were employees of the sales promoter division of Realme Big Jember using a simple random sampling technique. The data collection method used a questionnaire and then analyzed using the SEM-PLS method via SmartPLS 3. The results of the study stated that 1) Person job fit did not affect turnover intention, 2) Person job fit affected employee engagement, 3) Person organization fit affected turnover intention, 4) Person organization fit influences employee engagement, and 5) Employee engagement does not influence turnover intention. Another conclusion regarding the indirect influence of employee engagement is that it is unable to mediate the influence of person-job fit and person-organization fit on turnover intention.

Abstract

This research examines the impact of Availability Bias and Overconfidence Bias on investment decisions. Utilizing a literature review approach and VOSviewer analysis, this study explores how these biases affect investor decision-making processes and potential mitigation strategies. The objective is to highlight the significance of understanding and mitigating these biases in achieving more rational investment decisions. The findings underscore the potential negative effects of both biases, leading to overconfident and less rational investment decisions. Awareness of their interplay is crucial, as they reinforce each other's negative effects on investment decision-making. Overcoming these cognitive biases is essential for more effective investment decision-making. This research contributes insights into mitigating biases, aiding in a more balanced and rational approach to investment decision-making.

Abstract

The existence of a Disaster Resilient Village (Destana) is very important for the region in mitigating flood disasters. Destana has the function of protecting the community, increasing community participation, increasing capacity, increasing government capacity in providing resource and technical support for disaster risk reduction, and increasing cooperation between stakeholders. This function will be achieved well if there is collaboration with other stakeholders.  Destana's performance will be better if it can create collaborative governance through the right process. The process begins with face-to-face, namely conducting dialogue on existing problems with stakeholders. Followed by a trust-building process, namely creating a sense of trust because of shared interests, after that, the commitment to the process is a joint agreement to carry out the program. The next process is sharing understanding, which is raising awareness together to overcome floods followed by the Intermediate outcomes process, which is evaluating the temporary results of the collaborative process. These steps will be able to run optimally to improve Destana's performance if the right organization is selected to collaborate with so that a scheme is needed that fits the conditions of each village.
