East Asian Journal of Multidisciplinary Research (EAJMR) is a scientific multidisciplinary research journal published by Yayasan Pendidikan Penelitian Pengabdian Algero. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the potential for financial distress in the industrial sector companies across five ASEAN countries, using the Altman Z-score (1993) and Springate (1978) methods. Subsequently, these estimations are utilized to determine the error rate in classifying companies into specific groups, such as failed, safe, and grey-area companies. To measure the significance of differences among these groups, an independent sample t-test is employed. The bankruptcy analysis results from the Altman Z-Score and Springate methods within the industrial sector companies across ASEAN countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand) in 2018 until 2020 indicate varying levels of financial distress.

Abstract

This research aims to examine whether there is a relationship between financial literacy and financial technology with financial inclusion. Financial literacy in this context encompasses aspects of knowledge, skills, financial aspects, financial management, and access to financial knowledge. Meanwhile, financial technology includes digital financial services, financial behavioral intentions, and digital financial access. Financial inclusion covers financial stability, financial services, and digital finance. The methodology used in this research is qualitative research using literature studies, which include samples and data from 96 reputable international journals. The research was conducted from October until completion. The results of this study indicate that financial literacy and financial technology have a significant influence on financial inclusion.

Abstract

This study explores the psychological impact of transitioning from online to face-to-face learning among 2nd-year Psychology students at the University of Cebu – Main Campus during the academic year 2022-2023. The challenges faced during this transition and the participants' lived experiences are discussed. Using qualitative research employing purposive sampling, second-year psychology students were selected for one-on-one interviews. Thematic analysis of transcribed interviews identified 11 emergent themes, categorized into three overarching themes addressing sub-problems. Challenges during the transition were classified under "Challenges Experienced on Transitioning from Online Class to Face-to-Face Classes," with five emergent themes covering academic preparedness, student fear, financial issues, transportation hassles, and struggles with early wakeups. Emotional and mental well-being challenges were grouped under "Challenges that Affect the Emotional and Mental Well-Being of the Participants," featuring stress, anxiety, and a lack of interaction. How participants dealt with challenges fell under "Ways of the Participants in Dealing with the Challenges Met," with themes of responsibility and positivity.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of literature on digital strategy, brand image, and customer loyalty, contributing a strengthened perspective to this discourse. This paper employs a qualitative methodology, utilizing a literature review model based on findings from papers related to the variables within this study over the past eight years. The outcomes of this paper aim not only to reinforce existing implementation findings but also to contribute to and enrich the research field. The Digital Strategy Model has proven to be a valuable asset for Umrah and Hajj travel agencies in shaping brand image and maintaining customer loyalty. As the digital landscape evolves, a commitment to innovation, personalization, and customer trust will be crucial for sustained success in this competitive industry. Implementing these recommendations, Umrah and Hajj travel agencies can optimize their digital strategies, ensuring a holistic and customer-centric approach that fosters brand loyalty and satisfaction in the digital era.

Abstract

This paper aims to provide an in-depth understanding of how the combination of intuitive leadership and mentoring can be a key factor in achieving competitive advantage and sustainable growth in the modern business context. The method used is qualitative where the source of findings comes from articles related to the variables in this paper, with a time span of ten years and this proof to strengthen and provide an implementation result in a result in a scientific paper or article. Intuitive leadership and mentoring on employee performance, it can be concluded that these two elements play an important role in shaping a productive work environment that supports individual growth. Intuitive leadership, with its emphasis on instinct-based decision-making and emotional intelligence, creates responsive and adaptive leaders. This dynamic work environment allows employees to thrive, creating a culture of flexibility and innovation. Mentoring also contributes significantly to employee performance, through personalized and ongoing mentoring. With mentors in place, employees can experience increased job satisfaction, engagement and development of specialized skills.

Abstract

Individuals need to manage and make decisions on their personal finances in order to meet their needs and have good financial behavior for good financial goals. Financial self-efficacy theory was studied to see the effect of financial attitudes on financial behavior. This study was conducted with the aim of: a) to determine the effect of financial attitudes on financial behavior in Management Students of UPN "Veteran" East Java; b) to determine the effect of Financial Self Efficacy on financial behavior in UPN "Veteran" East Java management students; c) to ascertain how Financial Self-Efficacy can act as a mediator between financial attitudes and financial behavior in UPN "Veteran" East Java management students.In this study, a Likert scale is used as a measurement tool in a quantitative approach method. This research technique is Partial Least Square (PLS). The sample was taken by random sampling technique with the number of samples determined by the slovin formula with an error rate of 10%. Data information used in the study, namely primary data and secondary data obtained from first sources specifically collected through questionnaires. The population of this study was 1639 UPN Veteran East Java Management Students from batches 2019 to 2022.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to predict and analyze the influence of Green Moral Obligation on consumers' intention to adopt EV (electric vehicle)s in Indonesia, with Self Enhancement and Openness to Change as moderating variables. The research subjects are driving consumers distributed across the entire territory of the Republic of Indonesia, with a sample size of 250 respondents distributed through online questionnaires using convenience sampling technique. The data analysis tool used SEM-PLS (SEM-Partial Least Squares). The results of this research indicate that the Green Moral Obligation variable has a significant impact on the intention to adopt electric vehicles, and the Self Enhancement and Openness to Change variables have been proven to positively moderate the relationship between Green Moral Obligation and the intention to adopt electric vehicles. This research is expected to be used for policy development in the automotive industry, as a reference for academics and researchers for further research or theory development.

Abstract

The media shapes diverse political messages, influencing public opinion significantly. Mass media, deeply involved in political discourse creation, presents politically generated news of high value. Framing, a mass media process, influences public opinion. This study analyzes framing in Gibran Rakabuming Raka's coverage on Tribunnews.com post his candidacy as Vice President in the 2024 Election. Employing a qualitative approach based on Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosick's framework, it examines syntactic, script, thematic, and rhetorical structures. The findings highlight the emphasis on factual presentation via quotations (syntactic), compliance with the 5W+1H elements (script), Gibran's thematic emphasis on evidence addressing public queries, and Tribunnews.com's journalists' tendency to portray actual conditions, including statistical data (rhetoric).

Abstract

In order for a company to exist and survive, one of them can be achieved through the company's financing sources. The company in this case requires capital or funds. The need for capital or funds can be financed with own capital in the form of short-term or long-term debt obtained from one of them, namely bonds. This study aims to analyze the effect of leverage, liquidity, profitability and company size on bond ratings of non-financial companies. In this study, using multiple linear regression analysis methods with the SPSS 25 program to process the data. The data used is secondary data which is the annual financial statements of non-financial companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019- 2021. The observation data used is 132 data. The results of this study indicate that leverage, liquidity do not contribute to bond ratings, profitability is able to contribute to bond ratings, and company size is able to contribute to bond ratings.

Abstract

Teachers utilize the learning implementation plan as a guide to help them concentrate the classroom learning process. The primary content is used to build the learning implementation strategy in detail. The content presented in the learning implementation plan is organized into a learning model. In order to inspire students throughout learning, learning models can provide a more engaging and dynamic learning environment. In this study, the researcher examines how the learning implementation plan for the class XII SMK 01 Bengkulu City observation report uses the Discovery Learning learning paradigm. Two of the meetings included in the learning implementation plan were used for research. Triangulation (mixed) procedures are used in qualitative research methodologies to gather data. Reading the Discovery Learning learning model's steps was how the research's data was collected. Using a triangulator, the validity of the findings data was analyzed. The goal of this study is to enable researchers to explain the phases in the learning model for Discovery Learning that are included in the suitable learning implementation plan. 42 pieces of data were found. You will be able to comprehend the observation report's structure at the first meeting, and at the second, you will give an overview of the report's content.
