Abstract

The study aims to examine the impact of an adaptive learning system on students' academic performance and their overall perception of using the system. This study employed a quantitative research design to gather data, ideas, and information. There are 55 participants in the study comprising 33 students for the treatment group (utilizing an adaptive learning system) and 22 students for the control group. The findings showed that the adaptive learning intervention increased student motivation leading to a more positive learning experience and no statistically significant difference exists between the perception of AL experience among academic status and specialization.  Students who went through the adaptive learning intervention demonstrated improved academic performance overall. The study presents recommendations for implementing an adaptive learning system effectively, including comprehensive training for teachers and administrators, selecting appropriate platforms, training teachers, and monitoring student progress.

Abstract

This research aims to present an in-depth literature review related to the role of accountants in assessing behavioral accounting in the decentralization aspect and evaluating employee performance in organizations. The focus of the research involves understanding accountants' views regarding performance measurement in a decentralized context. This research examines several research articles regarding behavioral accounting in the aspect of decentralization and performance evaluation by collecting data using documentation methods in the form of primary and secondary data. The collected data is then analyzed according to theory to draw a conclusion that shows the research objectives. The results of this research show that Behavioral Accounting is used by companies to measure employee performance but is not widely used for decentralization aspects because there are still many companies that do not place decision-making authority in branch management. Decentralization also has no influence on measuring employee performance or managerial performance. Employee behavior is used more to measure performance which is related to the employee's own incentive assessment.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the causal factors and efforts to overcome the crime of adultery so that they can be taken into consideration by someone who is planning to commit the crime of adultery. This research is important because regulations regarding adultery are not yet a solution to prevent adultery, so this research was carried out to find out the criminological causal factors and find out prevention efforts. This research uses normative empirical methods, data collection was carried out through direct interviews with the Bandar Lampung police station to obtain data on crimes of adultery. This is because this research examines legal norms relating to adultery as a social "parasite". The results of the research show that law enforcement and non-penal measures have not had a deterrent effect on perpetrators of adultery, so regulations regarding the crime of adultery must be updated by increasing the number of penalties for perpetrators and closing locations that have the potential to become places of adultery.

Abstract

The results indicate that there is no notable variance in the levels of depression, anxiety, and stress among faculty members when categorized by age, gender, and marital status. Additionally, the study reveals a positive correlation between depression, anxiety, and stress with emotion-focused coping and avoidant coping strategies. In other words, as the severity of depression, anxiety, and stress increases among teachers, so does their reliance on emotion-focused coping and avoidant coping mechanisms. However, the study found that the distinction between genders in this regard was not significant.. The research suggests, among other things, that faculty members should undergo retesting to assess the reliability of the results. Despite the minimal gender differences, some individuals are still facing significant levels of depression, anxiety, and stress. This reaffirmation of the initial findings should be submitted to the Human Resource Management Office to support the development of a wellness program.

Abstract

In this quantitative study, a descriptive-correlational research design was employed to assess the levels of organizational culture and organizational commitment among 100 teachers in private tertiary institutions in Tagum City, Philippines. The study aimed to determine if a significant relationship existed between these variables. Data collection involved the utilization of two survey questionnaires, with analysis conducted through frequency counts, percentages, means, and Pearson correlation coefficient (r). Findings indicated a high level of both organizational culture and organizational commitment, with a positively moderate relationship between them. The relationship between respondents' organizational culture knowledge and organizational commitment was particularly significant. These results underscored the importance of organizational culture in shaping teacher commitment in educational settings.

Abstract

In the context of local governance, careful implementation of parliamentary procedures during meetings is of great concern. In 2019, Project Karunungan, a training workshop program, was born from cooperation between the Political Science Department of Mindanao State University and the Local Government Unit of General Santos City, Philippines. The initiative's primary goal is to educate barangay officials about Robert's Rules of Order principles. This paper is qualitative and quantitative research, drawing arguments from interviews and surveys. The correct parliamentary process significantly improves local governance by providing a formal framework for decision-making and guaranteeing fairness, openness, and accountability. This paper advances the significance of Project Karunungan to new heights as a continuous program to produce better leaders.

Abstract

This study aimed to assess the research productivity and supervision strategies for the framework development using MASTERp. Additionally, it further identifies the perceived impediments and challenges encountered by these educators. Employing a quantitative methodology, specifically a descriptive correlational research design, the research participants were selected through randomized sampling technique. Data collection was facilitated using survey questionnaire, for the master teachers at elementary, junior high, and senior high levels within public schools in the Surigao del Norte division. The perceived need for supervision skills to enhance research productivity was rated as moderate by the participants, with mentorship and guidance, research planning and goal setting, and collaboration and networking needing attention. Supervision skills were significantly linked to research activities and initiatives, underscoring the importance of continuous professional development in improving these competencies.

Abstract

The goal of this project is to learn how to use a Crossflow turbine to create a Picohydro power plant system modeling. The manufacturing process, from design to evaluation, is the methodology employed. The turbine type utilized is a crossflow turbine, measuring 26 cm in outer diameter, 17.3 cm in inner diameter of the blade runner, and up to 35 pieces of blades. The calculations show that the distance between the blades is 2.3 cm, the blade length is 8.5 cm, the blade width is 4.4 cm, and the radius of curvature of the blade is 2.8 cm. The test results without load obtained the highest turbine rotation of 421 Rpm produces a voltage of 7.29 V before going through the boost converter.

Abstract

To teach students effectively, they must be engaged. This study investigated the combined significant influence of teaching quality and democratic behavior on students’ engagement in learning science. The study employed a non-experimental quantitative design using a descriptive-predictive technique.  It utilized a total of 117 respondents from one of the private schools in Davao City who answered the adapted survey questionnaire. Using Mean, Pearson r, and Multiple Linear Regression the following findings were made: the level of teaching quality, teacher’s democratic behavior, and student engagement were high; teaching quality and student’s engagement have a significant relationship; teacher’s democratic behavior and student’s engagement have a significant relationship. Results implied that the indicators are oftentimes observed and significantly influenced students’ engagement. Furthermore, both teaching quality and democratic behavior have a combined significant influence on student’s scientific engagement. In conclusion, both variables have impact students' engagement in learning science. Thus, it is recommended that the two be utilized by the teachers to improve students’ engagement in science education.
