Abstract

There are many different cultures, ethnicities, languages, skin tones, ethnicities, customs, religions, and beliefs in Indonesia. Because of differences of opinion between tribes, cultures, religions, and other groups, plurality in the field can also lead to conflict, which can harm the community if it is not properly managed with tolerance for one another. The purpose of this study is to ascertain how the multicultural education concept is implemented. This study employs a content analysis-based qualitative approach similar to that of library research. Multicultural education is a method of teaching that takes into account students' diverse backgrounds, religions, and cultures to help them realize their full potential. As a process of developing all potentials that respect plurality and heterogeneity, in order to create mutual respect, understanding, and the formation of characters that are mutually open to differences, the implementation of multicultural education is anticipated to be a solution to diverse cultural realities. The concept of multicultural education based on the Qur'an, such as the concept of knowing and respecting various cultures, races, and religions, as the word of Allah swt. is in line with the implementation of multicultural education in Islamic education. in Q.S. Al Hujurat: 12-13, Ar-Rum: 22, Al-Baqarah: 256 and Asy-Syura: 40. The implementation of multicultural education can be incorporated into the learning process of Islamic Religious Education by including material on humanity (mutual respect, respect for individual differences, and other topics) in all learning including planning, executing and evaluation.

Abstract

In science learning, the STEM approach has been combined with project-based learning. This is an easy way to introduce the STEM approach to science learning. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)-based learning can train students in applying their knowledge to create designs as a form of solving environmental-related problems by utilizing technology. This study will analyze how much influence STEM education with the PjBL model has on student learning outcomes. This study uses a meta-analysis method by calculating the effect size. Research data was obtained from 50 national and international journals. That the results of the analysis of the influence of the STEM education integration PjBL meta model on learning outcomes based on class level found that the STEM education integration PjBL model gave the highest influence at the Junior High School level, namely with an effect size of 2.07, then Senior High School, namely with an effect size 1.42, and Elementary School with an effect size of 1.39. Meanwhile, the appearance of Higher Education is in the smallest height category, namely 0.86. This shows that the STEM education integration PjBL model is effective when used at all levels of education. Based on the subjects, it was found that mathematics was in the highest category with an effect value of 3.03, while chemistry was in the medium category with an effect size of 0.60. So it can be concluded that the effect size of the STEM education integrated PjBL model on learning outcomes in terms of subjects has a high effect.

The population in this study were all-state junior high school teachers in the city of Padang, totalling 1,099 people. The research sample of as many as 220 people was taken with a cluster random sampling technique based on the highest national exam results (UN), moderate to the lowest (2019 UN results). The research instrument used is a rating scale and a Likert Scale model questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The research data were analyzed by correlation and regression techniques. The results of data analysis show that: (1) the implementation of principal supervision contributes to teacher pedagogic competence by 41%, (2) work ethic contributes to teacher pedagogic competence by 52.4%, and (3) implementation of principal supervision and cooperation ethic. Equally, contribute to the pedagogic competence of teachers by 68.5%. The level of achievement of the teacher's pedagogic competence score of 86.71% is in the capable category. For the implementation of principal supervision, 87.63% is in a suitable category, while for the teacher's work ethic, 86.70, the ideal score is in the high category. Abstract

Based on the results of pre-survey observations in the field, it shows that the teacher's work commitment is still low in carrying out his duties. Low teacher work commitment automatically affects teacher discipline in carrying out their duties. The results of the recapitulation of attendance data for the even semester of the 2021/2022 school year Branch Office of Education Region VIII West Sumatra Province shows that 7 out of 14 public schools have a teacher attendance rate in carrying out assignments at school below 97% of active working days for 131 days in six months, the number the lowest was in SMA Negeri 1 Siberut Barat, namely 87%. This means that 50% of Mentawai Islands State Middle School teachers have low work commitment. This is thought to be related to unfavorable organizational culture and low work motivation. Therefore it is necessary to conduct more in-depth research to test the existence of this problem. This study aims to find and reveal the influence of organizational culture and work motivation on the work commitment of public high school teachers in Mentawai Islands District. The population in this study was all teachers of SMA Negeri Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai 209. The research sample was 55 people taken using the Stratified proportional random sampling technique based on strata of group and length of service. The research instruments used are assessment scales and questionnaires of Likert Scale models that have been tested for validity and reliability. The research data were analyzed by correlation and regression techniques. The results of data analysis show that: (1) organizational culture affects work commitment as much as 23%, (2) work motivation affects work commitment as much as 71.0%, (3) organizational culture and work motivation together affect work commitment as much as 86.6%. The achievement level of organizational culture score of 78.26% is in the sufficient category, the level of achievement of the work motivation score of 78.68% is in the sufficient category and the achievement of the teacher's work commitment score of 79.65% of the ideal score is also in the sufficient category. The findings above imply that teachers' work commitment is significantly influenced by organizational culture and work motivation. Beyond other factors. Therefore it can be concluded that improving organizational culture in a better direction and increasing work motivation becomes high, it will increase the teacher's work commitment also becomes higher

Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of the author's observations regarding the influence of the principal's situational leadership style and teacher's work commitment to the implementation of the teaching duties of public elementary school teachers in Nanggalo District which shows that the situational leadership style of the school principal and teacher work commitment is low and the implementation of teacher teaching tasks is still not good. The purpose of this study was to obtain data and information about (1) the positive influence of the situational leadership style of the school principal on the implementation of the teaching duties of public elementary school teachers in Nanggalo sub-district, (2) the positive effect of teacher work commitment on the implementation of teaching duties of public elementary school teachers in Nanggalo sub-district, This research is a correlational quantitative research with associative type. The population consisted of 261 PNS teachers and the sample was determined using the Cohran formula with an error rate of 5% using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique, 93 teachers were obtained. The research instrument uses a questionnaire with a Liker scale which has 5 alternative answers. Before the questionnaire was used, trials were carried out to determine its validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques were performed using multiple linear regression tests which were processed using SPSS version 23.0 The results of the data analysis show that there is a significant influence between the situational leadership style of the school principal on the implementation of teacher teaching tasks with tcount>ttable (749,666 > 27,380). There is a significant influence between the situational leadership style of the school principal and the teacher's work commitment to carrying out the teacher's teaching duties with a value of Fcount>Ftable (408.819> 3.09), so there is a significant influence between the situational leadership style of the school principal and the teacher's work commitment together to implementation of teacher teaching duties. The regression table shows a constant value of 27,380 and a regression coefficient of the X1 variable of 1. 251 and the value of the regression coefficient of variable X2 is 0.491. So the multiple linear regression equation used is 27,380+1,251X1+0,491X2+e. In the determination coefficient test, r² = 0.901 which indicates that the determination of the principal's situational leadership style variable and the teacher's work commitment to the implementation of the teacher's teaching duties is 0.90 or 90%.
