Abstract

On various social media platforms, including Instagram in Indonesia, hate speech is often found. This phenomenon can lead to various online criminal acts or Cyber Crime, such as harassment, stalking, doxxing, and solicitation of violence. Armed Criminal Groups (KKB) also use the internet and social media as part of their struggle, so this form of cyber crime can be at risk of developing into cyber warfare. Regulation of the Chief of National Police No: SE/6/X/2015 states that hate speech includes insults, defamation, blasphemy, provocation, incitement, or the spread of fake news. Social media is also a source of news about hoaxes and racial discrimination against Papuans and non-Papuans. This can be used by the KKB to spread hoaxes and justify the acts of violence they committed against indigenous Papuans (OAP) and non-Papuans who were victims in the conflict.

Abstract

In international law, espionage committed by one country against another in the form of wiretapping is a form of violation of international law and can disrupt relations between the two countries concerned. In this case, Australia had wiretapped Indonesian executive officials such as the President and his deputy in 2013. The action caused the intensity of the relationship between Indonesia and Australia to heat up. In this case, the geographical proximity between Indonesia and Australia causes the two countries to need each other, especially in dealing with cross-border crimes involving the two countries. This research intends to find out how the influence of Australia's wiretapping actions in Indonesia to the bilateral cooperation in handling transnational crimes. This research will use Butler's conflict management theory to examine the resolution of the conflict and how the resolution affects the cooperation between the two countries. From this research, it is known that the actions taken by Australia made the relationship between Indonesia and Australia tense. This was followed by the termination of bilateral cooperation projects between Indonesia and Australia. One of the areas of discontinued cooperation is cooperation in combating transnational crimes between the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and the AFP. This situation will create a loophole for perpetrators of cross-border crimes in carrying out their actions between the two countries, one of the most vulnerable transnational crimes is related to people smuggling. This affects the maritime security sector between the two which must be anticipated immediately.

Abstract

Financial statements that have been audited by a public accountant are more trustworthy than unaudited or unaudited financial statements. However, in recent years the quality of audits produced by public accountants has been under scrutiny by the public because there are differences in the auditor's opinion with the actual condition of the company. Auditor competence, auditor independence and auditor ethics have an important role in ensuring audit quality. This research is a quantitative study, using a survey method using purposive sampling with the respondent criteria for each KAP being 1 auditor. Data was collected using a questionnaire instrument which was measured using a Likert scale. The population of this study were auditors working at the Public Accounting Firm (KAP) in South Jakarta with active status at the OJK, totaling 76 KAPs and receiving 55 respondents to a questionnaire. The data analysis used was using the partial least squares (PLS) with the help of the SmartPLS program. The results of data analysis prove that: (1) auditor competence has a significant positive effect on audit quality with an original sample estimate of 0.369, a statistic of 3.594 and a significance <0.05, (2) auditor independence has a significant positive effect on audit quality with an original sample estimate value of 0.567, t-statistic 3.191 and significance <0.05, (3) auditor ethics can positively moderate the influence of auditor competence on audit quality with an original sample estimate value of 0.288, t-statistic 2.445 and significance <0.05, (4) and auditor ethics not can moderate the influence of auditor independence on audit quality with an original sample estimate value of -0.251, a t-statistic of 1.584 and a significance > 0.05. The practical implication of this research is to produce high audit quality, auditors must improve the competence, independence and ethics of their auditors so that the resulting audit report can be the basis for making the right decision.

Abstract

Academic institutions encounter several challenges when it comes to determining the most effective pedagogical approaches for enhancing their students' proficiency in the domain of cybersecurity. Conversely, cybersecurity gamification, exemplified by Capture the Flag (CTF) events in the industry, is widely considered an appropriate avenue for fostering cybersecurity learning. This research endeavors to assess the effectiveness of employing gamification as an instructional tool to enhance cybersecurity competency within the college context. The study employs a quantitative research method, adopting an experimental approach with a pre-experimental design. The research findings reveal the following key points 1) the implementation of gamification resulted in a significant enhancement of students' competency in cryptography, web vulnerability, and overall cybersecurity, 2) the gamification experiment demonstrated a stronger influence on enhancing practical skills as opposed to theoretical knowledge, 3) the evaluation of gamification's effectiveness in augmenting cybersecurity competency yielded a medium level (medium-g) of efficacy, reaching 65.91%. Although the medium level of effectiveness was observed in the context of gamification, it should be acknowledged that gamification holds substantial potential for advancing cybersecurity competency. For the attainment of optimal improvement in cybersecurity skills, a consistent and regular integration of gamification is recommended, while concurrently addressing the three pillars of cybersecurity. Furthermore, the utilization of gamification also presents opportunities for cultivating cybersecurity incident handling capabilities and the simulation of cyberwarfare scenarios

Abstract

The conflict shows that the escalation tends to heat up marked by a series of attacks on civilians, religious leaders and health workers in July 2022. The problems show relevance and are correlational in government policies in economic development and the Papuan independence referendum. The perspective of the authoritarian approach is transformed into human security based on democracy, security and economic stability. Weak guarding and monitoring of government policies has led to problems and various rejections, including the Law on new autonomous regions. The purpose of writing this scientific paper is to analyze government policies in responding to the Papuan conflict in terms of the counterinsurgency strategy. The writing of this scientific paper uses a qualitative method that emphasizes observing the phenomenon and substance of the meaning of the Papuan conflict phenomenon. The COIN Papua strategy was developed with the concept of a mystic diamond with the addition of supervising and overseeing government policies through a dual control system between the government and the civilian. This is useful for growing Papuan people's trust in the Indonesian government and improving its image internationally. In addition, it requires seriousness in constructive communication, dialogue framing and international diplomacy through the International Parliament for West Papua (IPWP), International Lawyer for West Papua (ILWP), United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP) as part of conflict resolution from a historical justice perspective. and memoria passionis

Abstract

Based on data on the arrest of perpetrators of terrorism, radicalism, and extremism among Central Java youth through social media terror networks from 2003-2022 has increased. Security disturbances and non-military threats in the form of ideology can cause social conflicts that disturb religious, social, and political peace in real and virtual life. The Central Java NCTA Cyber Youth Peace Ambassador is present as an organization engaged in the issue of peace education through digital literacy skills to play an active role in filling social media with peace narratives, national insights, and alternative narratives in an effort to prevent conflict due to radicalism and terrorism for the sake of National Security in Java Middle. The purpose of this study is to analyze the actions and roles undertaken during 2017-2022.  Qualitative research methods, and constructivism research paradigm. The theories used are role theory, peace education, conflict, counter-propaganda for preventing radicalism, the concept of SISHANKAMRATA, and national security. The results of this study indicate that peace education efforts as counter-radicalism propaganda are carried out through two online and offline axles. NgrumPeace Program, Teng-Teng Crit, Content Sharing and Social Media (SKMS), Posters, Articles, Halte Rubric, SRAWUNG, Healthy DD, Audience, Gen Sae, and Company Profile. Efforts are not running optimally and must be optimized due to obstacles in constructing ideas, communication, and unclear legality of the organization. An active role is still not optimal, but it is very much needed as a concrete manifestation of youth involvement in efforts to maintain National Defense with the SISHANKAMRATA doctrine according to Law Number 3 of 2002 through digital and social literacy skills. Researchers recommend, further research is needed on the effectiveness of the role of Duta Damai, mapping the potential for radicalism among students including groups of people with disabilities in Central Java or other provinces.

Abstract

Achieving positive global development in today's world is possible through convergence. Major global competitors are moving forward by forming unions and agreements based on common interests. This is something that Islamic countries are in desperate need of. The focus of this research is also on the role of economic convergence in enhancing the capabilities of the Islamic world. In this research, a qualitative method has been used using articles, books and also according to detailed information from reliable global sources. The aim is for the Islamic world to reach a level of development through cooperation and solidarity among Islamic countries and by meeting the needs of the Islamic Ummah, freeing themselves from severe economic dependence. The results indicate that the Islamic world can effectively work towards common goals and maximize its economic potential. Islam, with its emphasis on Allah almighty, aims to bring honor and glory to Muslims and enable them to participate in international competition, utilizing their material and spiritual talents and abilities. With cultural, historical, and emotional ties among Muslim nations and the large group of 57 countries that make up the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, representing over one and a half billion people, accounting for nearly 60% of global strategic reserves, there is immense potential for economic convergence if they focus on common development-oriented interests and goals. By doing so, Islamic societies can thrive and make a significant impact in the international arena as a strong economic force
