The Qur’an is not only a guiding book that teaches how to worship to Allah, but alsoteaches how human beings live in peace and prosperity. Therefore, worship in Islam isalways integrative although its nature and work are separated. The Qur’an clearly statesthat telling a lie in having a religion –if mahdah worship (Pure worship that has a directrelationship between human and Allah) –stops at the worship. In Islam there is always arelationship between the worldly and the hereafter (ukhrawi) or between the profane andthe sacred. It is a universal paradigm of the Qur’an, especially for enhancing the human’sdegree experiencing social problems, so they do not meet their fundamental needs andcannot achieve their social welfare. In this article the author elaborates upon the meaning of Khatam al-Nabiyyîn phrase.Phrase that becomes part of the Qur’an surah al-Ahzab, verse [33]: 40 are used as one ofbases for establishing the MUI fatwa about the deviate religious sect of Ahmadiyya. Thepurpose of writing this article is to consider proportionally over the use of the verse as abasis for establishing the fatwa. Proportional consideration is done by understanding theverse objectively. The method used in understanding the verse is FDE Schleiermacher’shermeneutic. In this hermeneutic, linguistic structure becomes into the beginning of reading before contextual reading of the verse reduction. From the dialectic of the two aspects of thereadings, objective meaning will be found. By using this method, the findings indicate that theMUI is less proportionate in using the verse as foundation of the fatwa. Khatam al-Nabiyyînis less appropriate if it is understood that Muhammad is the last prophet in a theologicalcontext. The phrase is more appropriate if it is understood that the Prophet Muhammad ismore special than other prophets.

The Renewal of thought of Islamic boarding schools education has been done bymany Indonesia Muslim intellectuals. One of them is Abdul Wahid Hasyim. He isnot only known as a prominent figure of the Indonesia’s independence movement,but also known as a famous ulama and Muslim Intellectual in Indonesia. Hiseducational and religious thoughts much influenced the educational system untilnow; for example about the importance of religious teaching and education in publicschools, both state and private. Another important idea is the establishment of theState Islamic University (PTAIN) which is now to be the IAIN / UIN / STAIN,and the establishment of place or institution for Indonesia Pilgrimage Committee(PHI).

Religious behavior of Transgender in Yogyakarta, especially in Islamic boarding schools ofTransgender “Monday-Thursday” has five dimensions: Religious Beliefs (Ideological) ReligiousPractices (ritualistic), Religious Experience (consequential), religious comprehension(experiential), and Religious knowledge (Intellectual). Religious behavior of transgender isinfluenced by two factors: internal and external factors. The internal factor is the factor ofpsychology, physiology, knowledge, and experience. Psychological and physiological factorsare the cause of the transsexual character of an individual. External factors are a family,couples, social, economics, and politics. The factors shape and influence of “typical” religiouspractice of transgender in the Islamic boarding school “Monday-Thursday” Yogyakarta.

Farid Esack, an intellectual from South Africa, tries to give his interpretation concerning with the condition and situation of African society that is in the oppression of the apartheid regime. Here, Esack has attention to methodological issues of interpretation. In this case, he offers his hermeneutics of Qur’an because, according to Esack, interpretation of the Qur’an that has been performed all this time is done without having a systematic methodological foundation. This hermeneutics of the Qur’an then has implications for the building of liberation theology which tries to answer the social problems faced because, according to Esack, Qur’an is basically not only a holy book which contains the teachings of a religious ritual, but moreover, the Qur’an also brings mission of emancipation for humanity.

This article tries to study critically the Aksin Wijaya’s theory of revelation differentiation in terms of hermeneutics. In his explanation, the critical analysis works at two ways. First, it examines and tests the validity and plausibility of arguments used by Aksin in formulating his theory of differentiation. Second, it has criticism on relevance of the theory of differentiation with hermeneutics. To describe the theory of the differentiation, author uses the terminology of Revelation, the Qur’an, and Ottoman manuscripts. The result of analysis concludas; First, the structural-linguistic approach in the study of Ahsin Wijaya has implication for his rejection of the existence of Jibril in the communication process of revelation delivery. In addition, Aksin shows some misunderstandings the application of this method. Second, the theory of differentiation that is intended to defend the legality of hermeneutics to interpret the Qur’an is precisely not in accordance with what is required by the hermeneutics itself.

The important key of implementation of good learning is the presence of situation of active, innovative, creative, effective and enjoyable learning or what is commonly known as PAIKEM. Learning is relates to how to make a student can learn easily and how to create motivation for student to study the lesson in accordance with the expected goals. In learning, practitioners of education are required to develop a variety of methods and strategies to achieve the goals of learning, so it can be achieved in an effective, efficient and enjoyable learning. The PAIKEM learning model is intended as a learning tool or method to achieve maximum, effective, and efficient outcomes of learning. PAIKEM learning model is firstly known by the end of 2007 coinciding with the Implementation of the Profession Training and Education (PLPG) for teachers who have not passed certification through portfolio assessment.
