Jurnal Gesture Seni Tari ini memuat tentang penulisan ilmiah dan penelitian seni tari tradisi dan tari non tradisi di Nusantara, hingga menyinggung persoalan-persoalan yang terkait dengan perkembangan pendidikan seni tari pada abad ini. Sebagai Jurnal Seni yang hadir ditengah-tengah lembaga Prodi Pendidikan Seni Tari; dalam hal ini jurnal gesture akan selalu konsisten untuk berupaya menampung segala bentuk karya tulis ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan bidang (Pengajaran, Pengkajian, Penyajian, Penciptaan, dan Pengelolaan) di Pendidikan Tari FBS Unimed.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apa makna yang terkandung di dalam Tortor Sibunga Jambu serta sejarah terciptanya Tortor tersebut pada masyarakat Batak Toba.   Landasan teoritis dalam penelitian ini berpijak pada dua teori yang dikaji, yaitu teori sejarah dan teori makna dengan kerangka konseptual  sebagai penjabaran masalah yang terdapat di dalamnya.   Dalam penelitian ini, penulis melakukan observasi lapangan, dengan mengambil video, dokumentasi, dan melakukan wawancara dengan narasumber, serta melengkapi data-data lewat penelitian di daerah Kabupaten Samosir dengan menjadikan seniman dan tokoh adat setempat sebagai populasi dalam penelitiannya.   Hasil penelitian berdasarkan data-data yang telah terkumpul dapat diketahui bahwa Tortor Sibunga Jambu memiliki makna sebagai simbol yang menandakan kedewasaan diri pada seorang anak perempuan dalam sebuah keluarga dan menjadi tanda bagi para orang tua bahwa putri-putri mereka telah layak untuk mendapatkan pendamping hidup.Lewat penelitian ini juga dapat diketahui bahwa sejarah terciptanya Tortor Sibunga Jambu adalah pada saat acara Gondang Naposo dilaksanakan.Pada acara inilah Tortor Sibunga Jambu diciptakan.Dalam acara Gondang Naposo, kita dapat menemukan Tortor Sibunga Jambu sebagai bagian yang terdapat dalam jenis Gondang Pitta-pitta atau disebut juga Gondang Permintaan. Awalnya Tortor Sibunga Jambu ini hanya di tarikan oleh kaum perempuan saja, namun seiring dengan perkembangan zaman, kini Tortor ini sudah dapat ditarikan secara muda-mudi atau berpasangan dengan tetap bertujuan sebagai media perkenalan antara muda-mudi agar bisa saling mengenal satu sama lainnya.     Kata Kunci :Tortor Sibunga Jambu, Sejarah dan Makna Tortor

Abstract

 ABSTRACT This study aims to package the Wira Pertiwi Dance learning according to KD 3.1 in the Stand Alone Powerpoint learning media for high school class XI students. The theoretical basis used as a guideline in this study is the theory of Wina (2011: 20) along with Rudi Susilana and Cepi Riyana (2017: 102) which explain how the stages or procedures are in making Stand Alone Powerpoint. The technique of collecting data was carried out by means of observation, interviews, literature study and documentation. The packaging method uses computer laboratory work. The research method used is descriptive qualitative in which the data obtained are then processed and analyzed carefully. The results of data processing are arranged systematically in the form of a thesis. The research process or packaging method is carried out in four stages, namely: the first stage of program identification, namely ensuring the correct program selected, the program used by Powerpoint. The second stage was collecting supporting materials such as material, photos, sound and video of the Wira Pertiwi Dance. The third stage is the process of working on learning media according to the material that has been collected. The final stage is a program review by conducting a material feasibility test and a media feasibility test, revising it, then making it ready for use. This product obtained the results of the feasibility test with a score of 94% by material experts and the results of the due diligence with a score of 91.1% by media experts. The overall result of the feasibility test got a score of 92.5%. Thus, the results of research on the packaging of Wira Pertiwi Dance learning in Stand Alone Powerpoint learning media include material understanding concepts, techniques, and procedures for senior high school class XI students in Medan. Keywords: Packaging, Wira Pertiwi Dance, Stand Alone Powerpoint. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mengemas pembelajaran Tari Wira Pertiwi sesuai KD 3.1 memahami konsep, teknik dan prosedur dalam meniru ragam gerak tari kreasi, dalam media pembelajaran Powerpoint Stand Alone untuk siswa kelas XI Sekolah Menengah Atas. Landasan teori yang dijadikan pedoman pada penelitian ini adalah teori Wina (2011:20) beserta Rudi Susilana dan Cepi Riyana (2017:102) yang menjelaskan bagaimana tahapan atau prosedur dalam pembuatan Powerpoint Stand Alone. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, studi kepustakaan dan dokumentasi. Metode pengemasan menggunakan kerja laboratorium komputer. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni deskriptif kualitatif di mana data yang diperoleh kemudian diolah dan dianalisis dengan teliti. Hasil pengolahan data disusun secara sistematis dalam bentuk  skripsi. Proses penelitian atau metode pengemasan dilakukan dalam empat tahapan yakni : tahapan  pertama identifikasi program yaitu memastikan program yang dipilih sudah tepat, program yang digunakan Powerpoint. Tahapan kedua mengumpulkan bahan pendukung seperti materi, foto, suara dan juga video Tari Wira Pertiwi. Tahap ketiga proses pengerjaan media pembelajaran sesuai materi yang sudah dikumpulkan. Tahap terakhir Review program dengan dilakukannya uji kelayakan materi dan uji kelayakan media, revisi, kemudian siap digunakan. Produk ini memperoleh hasil uji kelayakan dengan skor 94% oleh ahli materi dan hasil uji kelayakan dengan skor 91,1% oleh ahli media. Hasil keseluruhan uji kelayakan mendapatkan skor 92,5%. Dengan demikian, hasil penelitian pengemasan pembelajaran Tari Wira Pertiwi dalam media pembelajaran Powerpoint Stand Alone meliputi materi memahami konsep, teknik, dan prosedur untuk siswa kelas XI Sekolah Menengah Atas di Medan sangat layak digunakan.   Kata Kunci: Pengemasan, Tari Wira Pertiwi, Powerpoint Stand Alone.

Abstract

The theory used in this research is the theory Koreeografi of Sudarsono. When the study to discuss Emun Berereng dance performed during 2 months, ie from the beginning of October 2015 to December 2015. The study Desa Blang Kolak II District Bebesen Central Aceh district. The population is a resource, artists, traditional leaders and dancers who know about dance Gayo especially dance Emun Berereng in Central Aceh, the sample in this study were numbered four persons namely speakers, traditional leaders, artists and dancers dance Emun Berereng in Aceh Central. Data collection techniques include literature study, observation, Interview, and documentation, which is then analyzed by qualitative descriptive method. Based on research done that dance Emun Berereng have a soft form of motion, the design contained on the dance floor Emun berereng is catastrophically, split, alternately and interchangeably. Top design contained in this dance is the design on a flat, contrast, vertical, medium, low, and high pending. Dance wear Emun Berereng external musical accompaniment accompaniment yaiu born noise generated by devices outside the human body like a drum, flute, harp and other musical instruments. The themes contained in this dance is how the relationship young people gayo in mengespresikan feelings of love towards people in sukain in ancient times, Clothing used in dance Berereng Emun this is a long-sleeved shirt filigree headdress that had been in kreasikan (headscarf). Property used in dance Emun Berereng is scarves.

Abstract

ABSTRACT - This study aims to describe the effect of online learning on the Tatak Menabi Page material to increase the effectiveness of learning in class X MAN Batu Bara. The theory used is online learning theory (Jaya Kumar: 2002), learning effectiveness theory (Nana Sudjana: 1990) and learning steps (Anitah: 2017). The research method used is quantitative methods with an experimental approach. The entire population of class X MAN Batu Bara and the sample of class X IPA 1 students was 36 students. Data collection techniques in the form of observations / observation sheets, test learning outcomes, documentation and relevant research. The research instrument was multiple choice questions totaling 20 questions which were first tested for validation, as well as observation sheets on attitudes and the learning process. Before the action is taken, a pre-test is given to measure students' initial abilities. From the results of the evaluation before and after the application of the media, the pre-test data for cognitive realm showed that the average value obtained was 39.17 (none of the students reached the KKM). After the application of online learning media, the average score was 74.58 (14 students reached the KKM). From the results of the pre-test and post-test there was an increase of 39%. This shows that there is an effect of online learning on the Tatak Menabi Page material to increase the effectiveness of learning in class X MAN Batu Bara at cognitive realm by 39%.  In psychomotor realm, the pre-test scores obtained by 2 students reached the KKM and after being given online learning media, the post-test scores of 2 students reached the KKM scores, this shows that no change has occurred in other words there is no effect of online learning on the Tatak Menabi Page material. to improve the effectiveness of class X MAN Batu Bara learning. Keyword: Online Learning, Learning Effectiveness, Tatak Menabi Page.      ABSTRAK - Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh pembelajaran daring pada materi Tatak Menabi Page untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran kelas X MAN Batu Bara. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori pembelajaran daring (Jaya Kumar : 2002), teori efektivitas pembelajaran (Nana Sudjana : 1990) dan langkah-langkah pembelajaran (Anitah : 2017). Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen. Populasi seluruh siswa kelas X MAN Batu Bara dan sampel siswa kelas X IPA 1 berjumlah 36 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi/lembar pengamatan, tes hasil belajar, dokumentasi dan penelitian relevan. Instrument penelitian yaitu soal- soal pilihan berganda berjumlah 20 soal yang terlebih dahulu di uji validasi, serta  lembar pengamatan sikap dan proses pembelajaran.  Sebelum dilakukan tindakan terlebih dahulu diberikan pre-test untuk mengukur kemampuan awal siswa. Dari hasil evaluasi sebelum dan sesudah diterapkannya media diperoleh data pre-test untuk ranah kognitif menunjukan bahwa nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh adalah 39,17 (tidak ada siswa yang mencapai KKM). Setelah diterapkannya media pembelajaran daring diperoleh nilai rata-rata 74,58 (14 siswa mencapai KKM). Dari hasil pre-test dan post-test terjadi peningkatan sebesar 39%. Hal ini menunjukan ada pengaruh pembelajaran daring pada materi Tatak Menabi Page untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran kelas X MAN Batu Bara pada ranah kognitif sebesar 39 %. Pada ranah psikomotorik nilai  pre-test diperoleh 2 siswa mencapai KKM dan setelah diberikan media pembelajaran daring diperoleh nilai post-test 2 siswa mencapai nilai KKM, hal ini menunjukan tidak ada perubahan yang terjadi dengan kata lain tidak ada pengaruh pembelajaran daring pada materi Tatak Menabi Page untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran kelas X MAN Batu Bara. Kata kunci : Pembelajaran Daring, Efektivitas Pembelajaran, Tatak Menabi Page.

Faculty of Language and Art, State University Medan.2016This study discusses the Tortor Mangalehen Goar contained in Mandailing community in Labuhan Batu District aims to determine the structure of the presentation and moral education value contained in Tortor Mangalehen Goar.To discuss the above research purposes, used theories related to the research topic, such as understanding Mangalehen Goar, understanding Tortor and Moral Education Values.When the study are used in discussing the Moral Education Value In Tortor Mangalehen Goar the Community Mandailaing In Labuhan Batu regency for 2 (two) months, namely in June to August 2016. The study site is a hamlet Haloban Padang District of West bar. The population in this study is Mandailing community, traditional leaders, and events Mangalehen Goar. Analysis of the data in this study using descriptive qualitative data collection techniques with literature study, observation, interviews, and documentation.The results showed that, Values Moral Education contained in Tortor Mangalehen Goar is the values contained in the range of motion tortor mangalehen goar are: (a) preferably, (b) desired, (c) be pursued, (d) appreciated and moral education contained at tortor mangalehen goar offender is liable to a neighbor that responsibility to others include: a). Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the Religious Values of the Dakdeng dance in the Ritual Rejection of the Malay Village Community, Bagan Serdang, Pantai Labu District, Deli Serdang Regency. The theory used in research is the theory conveyed by Kahmad. Through this theory, it will be seen from human values with God, the value of human relations with humans, and the value of human relations with nature. The time used in this study is for two months, from February to March. The location of this study was conducted in Bagan Serdang Village, Pantai Labu District, Deli Serdang Regency. The population in this study were Malay people who were in Bagan Serdang Village, Pantai Labu District, and the sample was Pawang, Keluarga, from the Tolak Bala Ritual located in Bagan Serdang Village, Pantai Labu District. Analysis of research data used is descriptive qualitative, the technique of data collection is done by observation, literature study, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research are based on the collected data. It can be seen that the Dakdeng dance represents one of the traditional art forms that uses the Ritual Reject Tool, the Rejection Ritual is a ceremony carried out on the basis of avoiding or in accordance with the djinn disease, or the guardian to disturb. The Reject Bala ritual is one of the oldest rites where it has been before and now from ancestors to the current generation. Religious values including Dakdeng dance consist of: The value of human relations with God, Value of human relations with humans, and Value human relations with nature Keywords: Religious Values, Rituals, Reject Bala, Dakdeng Dance. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Nilai-Nilai Religi tari Dakdeng Dalam Ritual Tolak Bala Pada Masyarakat Desa Melayu Bagan Serdang Kecamatan Pantai Labu Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah teori yang disampaikan oleh  Kahmad. Melalui teori ini akan dilihat dari nilai huibungan manusia dengan Tuhan, nilai hubungan manusia dengan manusia, dan nilai hubungan manusia dengan alam. Waktu yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah selama dua bulan, yaitu di mulai bulan Februari sampai Maret. Lokasi penelitian ini di lakukan di Desa Bagan Serdang Kecamatan Pantai Labu, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat etnis Melayu yang berada di Desa Bagan Serdang Kecamatan Pantai Labu, dan sampel nya adalah Pawang, Keluarga keturunana Ritual Tolak Bala yang berada di Desa Bagan Serdang Kecamatan Pantai Labu. Analisis penelitian data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data di lakukan dengan obsevasi, studi pustaka, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan data yang terkumpul, dapat diketahui bahwa tari Dakdeng merupakan salah satu bentuk kesenian tradisional yang berfungsi sebagai sarana Ritual Tolak Bala, Ritual Tolak Bala merupakan upacara yang dilakukan atas dasar mengindari atau menolak atas suatu penyakit yang diperbuat jin, atau penunggu laut yang menggaanggu. Ritual Tolak Bala merupakan salah satu Ritual yang paling tua dimana sudah berlangsung sejak lama dan secara turun-temurun dari leluhur sampai generasi saat ini, Nilai-nilai religi yang terdapat tari Dakdeng terdiri dari: Nilai hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan, Nilai hubungan manusiadengan manusia, dan Nilai hubungan manusia dengan alam Kata Kunci   : Nilai-Nilai Religi, Ritual, Tolak Bala, Tari Dakdeng.

Penceng dancers presented to tie enthusiasts visitors from outside the village in order to enliven the proceedings the time the dancers dance Penceng lot of motion that can invite negative thoughts in people who witnessed it.This study aimed to describe the existence of a corner dancers Penceng customary values ​​and norms prevailing in society Karo. To discuss the research objectives above ,use the theories related to the research topic,such as the sense of presence,understanding of customary norms and understanding of indigenous values​​.        Time spent in research in discussing Penceng Dancers at the Guro - guro Aron Drum for 3 months.The place is the location of the study area Ketaren Village Kabanjahe Karo.Data analysis in this study uses descriptive kuliatatif ,techniques of data collection by,interviews ,documentation.            Based on the research that has been done.In the whole dance Karo to move the legs,waist and around the eyes ,normally not allowed according to the norms of customs Karo.Penari Penceng originally presented to increase the number of existing aron nande the village now has the function of developing a broader ,binding enthusiasts to visitors from outside the village in order to enliven the proceedings.

Abstract

 ABSTRACT   The problem in this study is the lack of students' creativity in making Toba Batak creation dance and knowledge about dance. Students are told to just make a dance without the rules, formats or references in making dance creations when compiling the tools to be done by students. This study aims to improve the creativity of students by making auditive stimuli as a medium for learning, so that students are encouraged to make Toba Batak Creations dance by making Sihutur Sanggul music an auditive stimulus and as a personality shaper. This research uses Smith's theory. The research method used is a quantitative method, with a sample of class VII-2 as many as 25 students consisting of 11 male students and 14 female students. Based on the results of the study, it was found that, with the energetic, dynamic Sihutur Sanggul music genre and rhythm in Sihutur Sanggul's music, the music was always changing, making the students encouraged and arousing a sense of desire to create dance movements. Before conducting this research, the researcher gave a pre test to find out the ability of the students, so that the average value of the class was 69. Furthermore, the researcher gave a post test and obtained a class average of 85. From the calculation of the hypothesis test performed, it was obtained thitung = 1.42 at the real level α = 0.05 and ttable = 1.6552, meaning tcount> t table (1.42> 1.6552). meaning that there is a very significant increase. Thus it can be concluded that by conducting auditive stimuli can improve the creativity of students in dance subjects in class VIII-2 Madrasah Tsanawiyah Private Mesra Pematang Siantar.  Keywords: Rangang Auditive, Creativity, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

The research was conducted at the end of November until the end of January 2015. The population and sample includes leaders in the community who know the culture Nandorbin hairline finish in Sub Salak, artists who know about the hairline finish Nandorbin, data collection is done by the method of field work which includes several aspects: observation, interviews, literature study, and documentation. Later in the analysis with qualitative descriptive method. Based on research that has been done, the form of presentation Nandorbin hairline finish on the pull with seven female dancers and one male dancer. There are nine varieties of motion at the beginning of Mertopak Nandorbin hairline finish, Menjengkur, Menjengkur menengen pasangen kamuhun direction, Menjengkur menengen pasangen kambirang direction, Menengen da Beru sideban, Menengen de Beru here select. Clothing on male dancers use of topical perbunga headgear mbacang, pakpak customary black shirt, and black pants. Abstract

ABSTRACT - This study aims to determine the structure and function of Tortor Turahan in the Simalungun community. The theory used in this research is dance structure theory by Anya Peterson Royce (2007) and function theory by Wardhana (1990). The sample in this study amounted to 3 people. Data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interview, documentation methods. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that, 1) Tortor Turahan was used as a dance for mutual cooperation, but over time this dance was used as an entertainment dance to welcome honorary guests. 2) The structure in this study is seen in the relationship between the sections, namely the beginning, the content, and the end. 3) The function of Tortor Turahan in ancient times was a dance performed by the community as part of a ceremony as a form of mutual cooperation to build the royal palace of Simalungun, then at this time it changed its function to an entertainment dance performed at certain events such as picking up great guests, and anytime if any. important events.Keyword: Function, Structure, Tortor Turahan.                                        ABSTRAK - Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kajian struktur dan fungsi Tortor Turahan di masyarakat Simalungun. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori struktur tari oleh Anya Peterson Royce (2007) dan teori fungsi oleh Wardhana (1990). Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah berjumlah 3 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, 1) Tortor Turahan ini dulunya dijadikan sebagai tarian untuk upacara gotong royong, namun seiring perkembangan zaman tarian ini dijadikan sebagai tarian hiburan untuk menyambut tamu-tamu kehormatan. 2) Struktur dalam kajian ini dilihat dalam tata hubungan antara bagian, yakni bagian awal, isi, dan bagian akhir. 3) Fungsi Tortor Turahan pada zaman dahulu adalah tari yang dilakukan masyarakat bagian dari upacara sebagai bentuk ungkapan gotong royong untuk membangun istana kerajaan Simalungun, lalu pada saat ini berubah fungsi menjadi tari hiburan yang dilakukan pada acara tertentu seperti penjemputan tamu agung, dan kapanpun jika ada acara-acara penting.Kata Kunci: Fungsi, Stuktur, Tortor Turahan.
