Jurnal Gesture Seni Tari ini memuat tentang penulisan ilmiah dan penelitian seni tari tradisi dan tari non tradisi di Nusantara, hingga menyinggung persoalan-persoalan yang terkait dengan perkembangan pendidikan seni tari pada abad ini. Sebagai Jurnal Seni yang hadir ditengah-tengah lembaga Prodi Pendidikan Seni Tari; dalam hal ini jurnal gesture akan selalu konsisten untuk berupaya menampung segala bentuk karya tulis ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan bidang (Pengajaran, Pengkajian, Penyajian, Penciptaan, dan Pengelolaan) di Pendidikan Tari FBS Unimed.

Abstract

This research was about learning cultural art esspecially dance art thetopic was Tatak Tintoa Serser can be effective and efficient by using audiovisual.In this research was using the theoriticals its relation with topicresearch about audio visual method and to result of theory practiced.Thismethod was using descriptive quantitative. The population this methoddirectly was the sample of SMA Swasta Daerah Sei Bejangkar. Tekhnik tocollected data were research, library study, documentasi, and tes ofpractice.Based on the research, this research was using audio visual as a helptools to learnt who give result included psicimotoric value, the student wassuccess 83,33% and the student was not success 16,66%. The attitude ofstudy result get the best value was 26,67%, the student get better value was40%, and the student get anough value was 33,33%. The kognitive of studyresult get the best value was 26,67%, the student get better value was 40%,and the student get anough value was 33,33%. By using audio visual methodof learning Tatak Tintoa Serser more effective and efficient.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : (1) Untuk penerapan pembelajaran apresiasi tari Mak Inang melalui media audiovisual pada siswa kelas X di SMA Santa Maria Medan. (2) Untuk penerapan penilaian tari pada siswa di kelas X di SMA Santa Maria Medan terhadap materi Apresiasi Tari Mak Inang, satu kelas siswa kelas X SMA Santa Maria Medan Semester 1 T.A 2016/2017. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Yaitu dalam penelitian ini menjelaskan pengaruh antar variabel. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Santa Maria Medan yang terdiri dari satu kelas. Sedangkan yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X-2 yang berjumlah 32 orang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas yaitu untuk mengetahui normal tidaknya data penelitian  tiap variabel, uji homogenitas dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah data penelitian homogeny atau tidak, dan uji hipotesis dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah hipotesis dapat diterima atau ditolak dengan menggunakan rumus uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh pembelajaran apresiasi tari Mak Inang tanpa media audiovisual terhadap penilaian tari pada siswa di kelas X SMA Santa Maria Medan tergolong dalam kategori cukup dengan nilai rata-rata (mean) yaitu 69,12 %, yang mendapat nilai sangat baik sebanyak 3 orang atau 9,375%, baik sebanyak 14 orang atau43,75%, dan cukup sebanyak 15 orang atau 46,875%. Hasil pembelajaran apresiasi tari Mak Inang melalui media audiovisual terhadap penilaian tari pada siswadi kelas X SMA Santa Maria Medan tergolong dalam kategori baik dengan nilai rata-rata (mean) yaitu 76,75%, sebanyak 8 orang atau 25% mendapat kategori sangat baik, sebanyak 20 orang atau 62,5% mendapat kategori baik, sebanyak 4 orang atau 12,5% mendapat kategori cukup. Hasil pengujian hipotesis yang diperoleh thitung > ttabel yaitu (3,27> 2,00) maka hipotesis diterima yaitu terdapat pengaruh yang positif terhadap pembelajaran apresiasi tari Mak Inang melalui media audiovisual terhadap penilaian tari pada siswa di kelas X SMA Santa Maria Medan. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan adanya peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa dengan ketuntasan belajar.Kata Kunci : Pembelajaran Apresiasi Tari Mak Inang, Media Audiovisual

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to improve the creativity of students by using the Creative Problem Solving learning model in the study of Dance Arts in SMA 1 Percut Sei Tuan. Academic Year 2018/2019. To discuss the purpose of the study used theories about creativity, creative problem solving learning models and dance theory. This research method is descriptive quantitative. The research location is in SMA 1 Percut Sei Tuan Academic Year 2018/2019. The number of samples used were all students of class XI MIPA 2 as many as 34 people. Before conducting this research, the researcher gave a pre test to find out the ability of students, so that the average value of the class was 72.65. Next the researcher gave a post test and obtained a class average of 85.29. From the calculation of the hypothesis test performed, it is obtained thitung = 14.87 at the real level α = 0.05 and ttable = 1.6723, meaning that thitung > ttable (14.87> 1.6723) means that there is a very significant increase. Thus it can be concluded that by using the creative problem solving learning model can improve the creativity of students in the XI MIPA 2 class dance subjects in SMA 1 Percut Sei Tuan Academic Year 2018/2019.                                                                                                 Keyword : Learning Model of Creative Problem Solving, Creativity  ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas peserta didik dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving pada mata Pelajaran Seni Tari di SMA Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Untuk membahas tujuan penelitian digunakan teori tentang kreativitas, model pembelajaran creative problem solving dan teori tari. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Lokasi penelitian di SMA Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 2 sebanyak 34 orang. Sebelum melakukan penelitian ini, peneliti memberi pre test untuk mengetahui kemampuan peserta didik, sehingga diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas yaitu 72,65. Selanjutnya peneliti member post test dan memperoleh rata-rata kelas yaitu 85,29.  Dari perhitungan uji hipotesis yang dilakukan diperoleh thitung = 14,87 pada taraf nyata α = 0,05 dan ttabel = 1,6723, berarti thitung  > ttabel (14,87 > 1,6723) artinya bahwa ada peningkatan yang sangat signifikan.  Dengan demikian dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran creative problem solving  dapat meningkatkan kreativitas peserta didik pada mata pelajaran seni tari kelas XI MIPA 2 di SMA Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving, Kreativitas.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe Aimed of this research was to describe how the packaging of the Tatak Menabi Page through web-based audio-visual media for The 10th Grade of Senior High School Students in Pakpak Bharat Regency. The theory used in this research are Julianti's theory which states that packaging is the manufacture, packaging of goods or packaging products that aim to protect the goods which are supported by several components according to the needs of product packaging and the theory of Haryono which states that there are 3 stages of packaging audiovisual media web-based, namely 1. Stage of Design Making, 2. Production Phase. 3. Trial Phase. The Data collection techniques were carried out by doing observation, interviews, documentation and literature studies which were conducted to observe the needs of the media, record the results of interviews and document the form of videos and photos used in making audio-visual media. These data were then analyzed with qualitative descriptive methods and laboratory work. In Packaging Tatak Menabi Page, a validation test of material experts and media experts were carried out. The results of the material expert validation test for the Tatak Menabi Page material got score 4.55 and for the validation test of the Tatak Menabi Page from the media experts got score 4.58. It can be concluded that the Tatak Menabi Page packaging product in the form of web-based audio visual media was declared suitable for being used as teaching material for learning in schools. Keywords: Packaging, Audio Visual Media, Web Media, Tatak Menabi Page

Abstract

This research is aimed to know how the form found on Tor-tor Simodak-odak, the symbol meaning of Tor-tor Simodak-odak movement on Simalungunese people is. In the discussion of this research, theories related to the topic of writing was used, such as theory of form, theory of symbol meaning and the meaning of Tor-tor. The method which was used was descriptive qualitative. To complete the data in this research, the researcher conducted a field observation, video, interview and documentation. The population in this research was Simalungunese people who lived in Simalungun Regency, Raya District at Merek Raya village, artists and the local elders. The result of the research based on the data collected, it was known that Tor-tor Simodak-odak was a tor-tor which was created by one of Simalungunese artists, named Taralamsyah Saragih in 1958. In tor-tor Simodak-odak, it had theme about love because it told about the teenagers who were in love. The outer shapes were movements, accompaniments, dresses and make-ups. Tor-torSimodak-odak had seven kinds of movements. The accompaniments of tor-tor Simodak-odak used music instruments such as gonrang, gong, tulila, sarune and arbab. The dresses used for tor-tor Simodak-odak were bulang, suri-suri naboru, kebaya, ragi pane naboru, gotong, ragi pane dalahi, suri-suri dalahi, baju sibirong, salawar ganjang. Tor-tor Simodak-odak which was seen from the symbol meaning, the movements of tor-tor Simodak-odak, it had its own meaning in its kinds. The music accomponiments of tor-tor Simodakodak used gonrang sipitu-pitu music or also called gonrang balon which had quite tempo but described a happy feeling.

Abstract

ABSTRACT - This study aims to apply Mak Inang Pulai Kampai dance learning online and its influence on the effect of learning X-IPA students at Ar-Rahman High School Medan. The theories used are Application theory (Afi Parnawi, 2020:67), Online Learning theory (Meda Yuliani, et al., 2020:2), Effectiveness of Learning theory (Reymond, H.S, 2009:31). The method used is an experimental method with research samples is an X-IPA class of 33 students. Data collection techniques in the form of observations, interviews, documentation, and tests. Data analysis using Normality Test, Homogeneity Test, Average Difference t Test, and Correlation Coefficient Test. The results of the study began by validating the essay test as many as 10 questions, then conducted pretest. Student learning outcomes in the pretest amounted to 37,725. Then given the learning treatment, there are obstacles during the learning process, namely: lack of discipline, network limitations, insufficient quotas, weak teacher interaction with students. subsequently implemented posttest. Student learning outcomes in the posttest only reached 64.54 < 70. There was an increase in learning outcomes but it was not significant that students graduated only by 27% < 75% and the poll data showed a negative number – 0.105. From the information above shows that the application of Mak Inang Pulau Kampai dance learning online in class X-IPA at SMA Ar-Rahman Medan has not been effective, then the hypothesis of this research is Ho accepted and Ha rejected.Keywords: Mak Inang Dance Learning, Daring, Effectiveness ABSTRAK - Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan pembelajaran tari Mak Inang Pulai Kampai secara daring dan pengaruhnya terhadap efektitivtas belajar siswa kelas X-IPA di SMA Ar-Rahman Medan. Teori yang digunakan yaitu teori Penerapan (Afi Parnawi, 2020:67), teori Pembelajaran Daring (Meda Yuliani, dkk, 2020:2), teori Efektivitas Belajar (Reymond, H.S, 2009:31). Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan sampel penelitian adalah kelas X-IPA sejumlah 33 siswa. Tehnik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tes. Analisis data  menggunakan Uji Normalitas, Uji Homogenitas, Uji t Beda Rata-rata, dan Uji Koefisien Korelasi. Hasil penelitian dimulai dengan memvalidasi soal tes essay sebanyak 10 soal, kemudian dilaksanakan pretest. Hasil belajar siswa pada pretest sebesar 37,725. Kemudian diberi perlakuan pembelajaran, terdapat kendala selama proses pembelajaran, yakni: kurangnya kedisiplinan, keterbatasan jaringan, kuota tidak mencukupi, lemahnya interaksi guru dengan siswa. selanjutnya dilaksanakan posttest. Hasil belajar siswa pada posttest hanya mencapai 64,54 < 70. Terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar tetapi tidak signifikan yaitu siswa lulus hanya sebesar 27% < 75% dan hasil data angket menunjukkan angka negatif yaitu – 0,105. Dari keterangan di atasmenunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran tari Mak Inang Pulau Kampai secara daring pada kelas X-IPA di SMA Ar-Rahman Medan belum efektif, maka Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah  Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak.Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Tari Mak Inang, Daring, Efektivitas.

Abstract

Tortor Ilah Majetter an entertainment dance originating from the area Simalungun are often present at the party Rondang Bittang. Tortor Ilah Majetter a Tortor Ilah/singing. This study aims to determine how Tortor Ilah Majetter in Simalungun of values. To discuss the purpose of the study above, use the theories related to the topic of this research is the theory of value is made up ofreligious values, aesthetic values, social values, ethics values. Time spent in discussing Tortor Ilah Majetter in Simalungun of values research on the study of public during three monhs from june 2016 to august 2016. The location where the research is desa Purba Tongah Kecamatan Purba, Kabupaten Simalungun, Sumatera Utara. Data analysis in this research use descriptive qualitative data collection techniques by observation, library research, interviews, and documentation. The result of research based on the data collected can be seen that Tortor Ilah Majetter a young dance game on the night when the bright moon full moon that came with the singing. Tortor Ilah Majetter describe the joy of young people Simalungun. Though not much in the range of motion, but Tortor Ilah Majetter have values which are : 1) religious values which can be seen through poetry, 2) social values can be seen through the movement made jointly and simultaneously indicating Simalungun society very closely in togetherness, 3) aesthetic values can be seen through the motions, the pattern of the floor is well ordered and tidy. But it also can be seen through clothing and makeup dancer, 4) ethical values can be seen through the motions, the pattern of the floor, the clothes are limits and rules.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of students' learning abilities by using the talking stick method in dance art appreciation learning at SMA Dharma Patra Pangkalan Berandan. The theory used in this study is the talking stick method by Miftahul Huda, the experimental method by Sugiyono, and learning theory by Agus Suprijono. The research method is quantitative with the type of quasi experiment one group pretest-posttest design. The research sample was 36 students of class X IPA 2. The instruments used in this study were observation guidelines, documentation guidelines, and tests. The results of the study show that the average pretest value of students is 56.80 and the average value of student posttest is 81.44. based on the results of data processing, the conclusions obtained are that there is a significant increase in students' learning abilities after the use of the talking stick method in students of class X IPA 2 at SMA Dharma Patra Pangkalan Berandan.                                                                                    Keywords: method of Talking Stick, Learning, Appreciation of Dance.  ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode talking stick pada pembelajaran apresiasi seni tari di SMA Dharma Patra Pangkalan Berandan. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode talking stick oleh Miftahul Huda, metode eksperimen oleh Sugiyono, serta teori belajar oleh Agus Suprijono. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasi experiment one group pretest-posttest design. Sampel penelitian yaitu 36 siswa-siswi kelas X IPA 2. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pedoman observasi, pedoman dokumentasi, dan tes. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pretest siswa sebesar 56.80% dan nilai rata-rata posttest siswa sebesar 81.44%. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data maka kesimpulan yang diperoleh bahwa terdapat kenaikan yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan belajar siswa setelah digunakannya metode talkingstick pada siswa kelas X IPA 2 di SMA Dharma Patra Pangkalan Berandan. Kata kunci: Metode talking stick, pembelajaran, apresiasi seni tari.

Abstract

This study uses the theories that relate to topics such as the theory of style,sense Habonaron Do Bona,dance technique and dance MandudA.Time understanding of research conducted for 3 months in June 2013 to August 2013.Locationi Simelungun research conducted in the Upper Subdistrict Sidamanik whereas in Simelungun Under the Airport District.The method used is descriptive qualitative method,the population in this study as well as a sample of speakers,dancers,cultural figures and artists who know the techniques and styles of dance in society Simelungun Manduda Up and Bottom.Techniques library study includes data collection,observation  interviews and documentation.Based on the research conducted,it is described that the technique is basically the same Manduda dance,both in Simelungun Upper and Lower.There are four dominant motion technique on the dance Manduda ondok,herbang,manerser and eot.Manduda dance there are 15 wide,wide differences in dance movements Manduda Simelungun Upper and Lower Simelungun ie the range to 10.Geographical location affect differences in dance styles of dance Manduda. Do Habonaron values ​​Bona on Manduda dance in public Simelungun Upper and Lower are the same people.
