Abstract

Criteo reports that the use of M-Commerce in 2015 has increased about 15% - 26%, compared to 2014. In 2015, users access M-Commerce using mobile phone more often than other devices. Around 54% of those users use mobile app while 46% use mobile browser. In addition, there is an increase in conversion value of the number of users switching from mobile browser to mobile app by 120%. In all these activities, 286% of users focus on product viewing activities. This phenomenon requires software developers to develop M-Commerce in a short time. On the other hand, the developers need time to develop MCommerce. One of the time-consuming activities is the development of functions for product management. Based on the software development, there is one concept that can be used, which is class library. A class library is a collection of classes and methods that provide functionality as basis for building a system within a case domain. The first step in this research is to do domain analysis to acquire frozenspot, hotspot, and function mechanism that will be provided in class library. The result of the hotspot will be analyzed to obtain the nine basic functions in the domain of product catalog case in M-Commerce. These functions will be mapped into ten classes in a class library which will be tested using unit testing and integration testing that can be used by M-Commerce developers to accelerate the development of product management on M-Commerce.

Abstract

Openness and transparency in government is now becoming a global movement. Various programs and initiatives have been built toward openness and public participation. Although existing legislation obligates the government to be more open about the data and information, in practice, the process of obtaining government data by Indonesian citizen is still difficult, due to the bureaucracy. Information technology has not been fully utilized for this process. This paper proposes open government data system engineering process that facilitates publication of government data by the government and access to data by citizen. Case study for the research was conducted in Cimahi City, West Java. This paper also demonstrates the adaptation of system engineering methods in the process of software system engineering with the adjustment and mapping of the techniques used in each stage. Result of user acceptance and usability testing shows that the system meets the performance criteria required by users and has good usability score. The survey on public perception about government transparency and participation with support of the system shows an increase of 39.1% compared to initial condition.

Abstract

Utilization of document files does not guarantee the security of those documents. There are acts of plagiarism of txt and doc files. Converting files into PDF can help secure the files, because PDF can not be easily plagiarized and a password can be embedded into the files. But, nowadays, PDF files also can be modified by other parties, thus, reducing the security of the files. This paper utilizes factor of prime and random numbers in cryptography using ElGamal algorithm to encrypt PDF plaintext documents into cipher text. This research uses experimental research with some experiments of encryption and decryption. The data analysis type is quantitative with non-parametric statistic. This technique is implemented to analyze the final result of experiments. The research is conducted by doing 20 times encryption using random keys. The result shows the successfulness of encryption process. The process begins by converting each character from the plaintext using ASCII table to a decimal number. ElGamal algorithm calculation is then applied using prime and random numbers to generate the keys. This process makes ElGamal algorithm superior to other algorithm. The result is character value used in the decryption process. The output of the encryption process is an encrypted PDF document (ciphertext). The results show that the combinations of prime and random numbers are successfully generated in the encryption process using ElGamal algorithm.

Abstract

Document grouping is a necessity among a large number of articles published on internet. Several attempts have been done to improve this grouping process, while majority of the efforts are based on word appearance. In order to improve its quality, the grouping of documents need to be based on topic similarity between documents, instead of the frequency of word appearance. The topic similarity could be known from its latency, since the similarity of the word interpretation are often used in the same context. In the unsupervised learning process, SOM is often used, in which this approach simplifies the mapping of multi-dimension data. This research result shows that implementation of the latent structure decreases characteristic dimension by 32% of the word appearance, hence makes this approach more time efficient than others. The latent structure, however, when implemented on SOM Algorithm, is capable to obtain good quality result compared to word appearance frequency approach. It is then proven by 5% precision improvement, recall improvement of 3%, and another 4% from F-measure. While the achievement is not quite significant, the quality improvement is able to put the dominance of grouping process, compared to the original classification defined by the content provider.

Abstract

Requirement Engineering is one of stages in the software development. One of the challenges in requirements engineering is the use of tools in modeling the requirements. The number of requirements modeling applications does not guarantee that an analyst can model the needs appropriately for the complexity of the application, because the cost of modeling applications is too expensive to affect the use of such applications to model the requirements. Another problem faced by students on education is the difficulty in applying knowledge about software engineering. For example, if students are given a project from the industry, the requirements elicitation and modeling application are usually needed. The tools used in the industry are sometimes not suitable for education purposes. This paper aims to develop a tool for requirements modeling, to assist novice analyst in learning and classifying UML diagrams as well as learning the syntax. The tool is named RMTool, which is an object-oriented modeling tool based on web. Testing is conducted both on the developer and the user environment. Evaluation by end users involves 76 students as novice analyst to test the effectiveness and usefulness of modeling tool using questionnaire. The evaluation results show that the majority of students are satisfied using the application.

Abstract

High balance value of software fault prediction can help in conducting test effort, saving test costs, saving test resources, and improving software quality. Balance values in software fault prediction need to be considered, as in most cases, the class distribution of true and false in the software fault data set tends to be unbalanced. The balance value is obtained from trade-off between probability detection (pd) and probability false alarm (pf). Previous researchers had proposed Cluster-Based Classification (CBC) method which was integrated with Entropy-Based Discretization (EBD). However, predictive models with irrelevant and redundant features in data sets can decrease balance value. This study proposes improvement of software fault prediction outcomes on CBC by integrating feature selection methods. Some feature selection methods are integrated with CBC, i.e. Information Gain (IG), Gain Ration (GR), One-R (OR), Relief-F (RFF), and Symmetric Uncertainty (SU). The result shows that combination of CBC with IG gives best average balance value, compared to other feature selection methods used in this research. Using five NASA public MDP data sets, the combination of IG and CBC generates 63.91% average of balance, while CBC method without feature selection produce 54.79% average of balance. It shows that IG can increase CBC balance average by 9.12%.

Abstract

Electronic Health Record (EHR) or medical history has been widely adopted to enable healthcare providers such as hospitals, insurance companies, and patients, to create, organize, and access EHR information from anywhere and at any time. From a health standpoint, to improve the quality of patient care, an EHR storage center is needed to ensure the EHR's novelty at all times. This underlies the need for an efficient, safe, and inexpensive mechanism for sharing EHR among health care providers. Cloud Computing has become a promising paradigm and gains more attention from academia and industry. This paradigm shifts the location of the computer infrastructure to third parties. Cloud computing not only increases the efficiency of storage and exchange of medical data but also allows accessing medical data from anywhere and anytime. In this paper, a mechanism of cloud-based sharing system equipped with the 3DES algorithm to secure health history data and the use of the smart card as a medium for controlling patient information access is proposed. The results of the tests indicate that the built system has fulfilled the security requirements such as privacy, authentication, confidentiality and integrity.

Abstract

Network activity has increased in every year due to rapid growth of internet users. This phenomenon eventually increases the load server. The high load on server makes server down. The proposed system to handle the issue is using Least Time First-Byte algorithm and multi-agent system in distributed load balancing. The agent collects information resources on the backend servers and communicates with the agents. The Least Time First-Byte algorithm is then combined with the information resources from the agent, called as Least Time First Byte with Multi Agent System (LFB-MAS). The simulation results show that LFB-MAS performs load balance efficiently to all server and provides better performance. The LFB-MAS can process 100% from the 1,800 requests, whereas WLC algorithm is only capable of processing 74.50% from 1,800 requests and LFB without agent is only capable of processing 75.61% from 1,800 requests. The results prove that LFB-MAS can handle high tasks or requests and is reliable.

Abstract

Classification of short stories category based on age of the reader is still difficult. Therefore, a decision support system to classify the short stories category is needed. Naïve Bayes is one of methods suitable for short stories classification. However, Naïve Bayes has flaws in accuracy level, and needs to be optimized. In this paper, Genetic algorithm is proposed to increase the level of accuracy. In this case, genetic algorithm is used for feature selection. The results show an increase in the level of accuracy produced. The accuracy increases from 78,59% to 84,29%. In conclusion, the application of genetic algorithm on Naïve Bayes in classifying the online short stories category can improve the accuracy.

Abstract

An accurate effort and cost estimation provides good management for software projects. Less accurate estimation will affect the management of the software project and cause the ineffectiveness of the project development process. The addition of cost driver, introduced by Barry Boehm in 2000, is used in this paper to provide better accuracy, because it has covered the entire section in the estimation. However, in this paper, the accuracy of effort and cost estimation by COCOMO II Fuzzy Gaussian method is still far from actual effort. Therefore, the accuracy can still be increased using Bee Colony Optimization (BCO), as seen in the MMRE loyal results. The value of parameter A and B on COCOMO II is also changed with the initial gradual of 0.01 to give optimal value on a certain gradual. Based on the result of the implementation, the error accuracy of effort estimation and software project cost is reduced by 38%, compared to previous research. In conclusion, the proposed method can increase the accuracy of effort and cost estimation.
