Abstract

Current Javanese script translators still have many shortcomings, both in completeness and procedure for their script writing. These are caused by the difficulty of applying the rules of writing in translating Javanese script. This paper proposes a hyphenated method for Javanese words into syllables using finite state automata. The Javanese to Javanese script and vice versa translator web application development was implemented using Unicode standard Javanese script based on Graphite feature. Translator testing was carried out by teachers who have Javanese expertise. The test results indicate that the translator is able to translate in most cases, which are 92% for the translation of Javanese to Javanese script and 93.8% for the translation of Javanese script to Javanese.

Abstract

Currently, it is easy to access the wide variety of digital content on the internet, and therefore protection effort for digital content is an important problem that needs to solve. One kind of digital content that urgently needs to protect is digital image. Protection is needed not only for the copyright but also for the authenticity of digital image because there are so many advanced image editing software, that are easy to use. This paper presents a scheme for digital image protection through Digital Watermarking process using Two Level Discrete Cosine Transform, and Chinese Remainder Theorem for color digital image. This scheme has an ability to detect and to recover some kind of changes that occur in the watermarked image. This ability can be achieved because this scheme is categorized into fragile digital watermarking, thus, has low robustness. However, based on experiment results, this scheme shows a good invisibility. It is higher than the previous research and has a minimum distortion, proven by Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) value of around 45.

Abstract

In order to improve and to ensure the availability of information technology (IT) services quality, many organizations now have a helpdesk which acts as a center point in solving and organizing problems. However, in the planning and implementation of Information Systems Service Helpdesk, it is necessary to do a thorough analysis of the framework of the Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) that is appropriate and in accordance with the needs of organizations, that is also capable of providing the function of knowledge management. It is because each type of organization has different needs and Standard Operation Procedure in providing IT services. The purpose of this study is to analyze the right ITSM framework in developing Helpdesk Information System in PT Len Industri (Persero), which is one of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs). Helpdesk services provide repairs of hardware, software, and network. Previously, informations about problems and the handling are not complete, and the information storing is unstructured. This causes difficulties in monitoring and evaluation activities conducted by helpdesk admin and manager of Information Systems. To solve this problem, a system is designed using ITSM best practices standard from the Information Technology Infrastructure Library version 3. The system is designed to perform the classification to every problem. Classifications are made into several level of priorities which correspond with profile matching method, according to position and division within the PT Len Industri (Persero)’s value chain. The developed dashboard has been able to support the helpdesk results evaluation process. To ensure the usability of the system, a user acceptance test is conducted with the standard of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology. The system obtains overall score of 88,89% in the user interface aspect and 83,715% in the functional requirement of information system aspect.

Abstract

In order to solve the assignment problems, so far commercial applications only offer one optimal solution and cannot handle the assessment process that has some criteria, such as Microsoft Excel and WinQSB. Limitations of commercial applications have been already solved in previous research, however, it still have two deficiencies, i.e. a number of tasks and workers have to be same and cannot include subcriteria. When the application is able to handle the deficiencies, it will be aimed to solve the real case more properly. The proposed methods to solve the assessment problem are Hungarian and Permutation method. This paper implements a method, called System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in the waterfall model. Through new assignment application, the optimal solution that is offered to the decision maker may have more than one solution, which the number of tasks can be different with the number of workers. Furthermore, the assignment application is able to produce solution for the assignment problem comprehensively because the task assessment has included criteria and subcriteria.

Abstract

Nowadays, almost everyone has an account on the internet, but some of them often use simple and guessable password, since a complex password is difficult to memorize. Surely, it will compromise the account security and system themselves. Therefore, an integrated login system without typing and remembering password is needed. This paper describes the development of an integrated login system that can perform authentication on a device without typing and remembering password by developing a WordPress plugin and a smartphone application. The development of the system has successfully shown the QR Code on the WordPress login page and automatically redirect the user to the admin page when the login process is done through scanning the QR code by using smartphone. Password only needs to be typed in the first login, and users do not have to retype it for the next login process. Android application development has resulted a password manager application that helps the users to manage the password and to have a secure password storage. Login integration without typing a password can improve account security and reduce the risk of man-in-the-middle and key-logger attack.

Abstract

This paper proposes an online game design that has resources with interoperability. Interoperability means the resources can share, re-used, and interlinked with another Unified Resources Identifier (URI). The game design is constructed by utilizing Linked Data concept where the resources are developed in the form of ontology. The resources are developed by both creating manually using Protégé and re-using from another URI’s. To get the resources from another URI’s SPARQL can be used through Apache Jena Fuseki server. SPARQL is a query used for Resource Description Framework (RDF) or Web Ontology Language (OWL). The result shows that retrieval data/information process by using SPARQL works well. The resources from another URI’s can be used and integrated with local resources. It means the quality of information knowledge is increasing in interoperability, where the resources can be shared, re-used, and interlinked.

Abstract

This game was intended to provide information for children with autism on rescue procedures clearly in the form of images, simulations, and demonstrations, regarding the earthquake disaster mitigation in simple language. The game design techniques of earthquake disaster mitigation education was developed using the MDA framework. This game covers information on disaster signs, mitigation procedures, and preparing their own survival bags. The evaluation on the proposed games was conducted by examining the functionality of the game on a variety of Android devices, disaster mitigation material testing, appropriateness testing needs of children with autism, and the evaluation test understanding earthquake disaster mitigation. From the results of the evaluation of the game in two weeks, children with autism showed an increased understanding of the earthquake disaster mitigation.

Abstract

In-App Purchase or payment system based on application is one of promising revenue model in mobile application for application developers or marketers. However, in-app purchase is placed in the lowest rate compared to other model. This paper attempts to present the analysis of in-app purchase adoption viewed from the user behavior of mobile application as consumers. This study is conducted by combining the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology approach that was developed (UTAUT2) with involving perceived security aspect. The result shows that the habit of potential users, information security assurance, and hedonic motivations of potential users are the main supporting factors in adopting in-app purchase. Those factors can be admitted as a reference in developing mobile application, in order to make in-app purchase can be accepted and used by potential users of mobile application.

Abstract

Authentication concept using password or token has been used widely but still has weaknesses, because password or token can be easily forgotten or shared with other users. The use of biometric data as an authentication tool can be a solution to the problem. It is because biometric data is relatively permanent and unique, thus, the risk of losing or forgetting the password is reduced. Consequently, a protection method to secure the biometric data is needed. A number of studies have been done to secure the biometric data, ranging from classic encryption method to data transformation.In this paper, a method is developed to create a cancelable fingerprint templates by combining pair-polar on the selection and matching with modified fuzzy vault on data transformation. The selection procecss is carried out in two stages. The first stage selects the reference minutiae points and its respective neighbors which close to the reference. A feature vector set is adopted from pair-polar method with an addition of the ridge type of the neighbors for later use in the matching process. The second stage generates a template, which is developed by implementing extended fuzzy vault with combining four regular fuzzy vault sets into one vault. This method gains the most optimum accuracy up to 99% of GAR and 0.03% of FAR. The use of ridge type in the matching process can reduce FAR from 1.03% to 0.03%, and the use of extended fuzzy vault can reduce FAR from 0.28% to 0.03%.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to fabricate a humidity sensor from organic semiconductor and to understand the effect of the transistor`s structure on the sensitivity of humidity sensor. Organic MOSFETs were fabricated using organic semiconductor called pentacene. The structures were bottom-contact and top-contact. The bottom-contact pentacene MOSFET was more sensitive to humidity than the top-contact pentacene MOSFET was. When the relative humidity increased from 20 % to 70 %, for VGS = VDS = -5 V, the magnitude of drain source current of the MOSFET decreased from 0.45 µA to 0.1 µA for bottom-contact pentacene MOSFET and from 3.6 µA to 3 µA for top-contact pentacene MOSFET. As the relative humidity increased from 20 % to 70 %, for VGS = 2 V and VDS = -5 V, the magnitude of drain source current of the MOSFET increased from 0.77 nA to 3 nA for bottom-contact pentacene MOSFET and from 0.6 nA to 1.4 nA for top-contact pentacene MOSFET. As the relative humidity increased from 20 % to 70 %, the threshold voltage shifted toward positive direction, from 0.5 V to 2 V for bottom-contact pentacene MOSFET and from 1 V to 2 V for top-contact pentacene MOSFET. The result showed that the pentacene MOSFET with bottom-contact structure was more suitable for humidity sensor than that with top-contact structure.
