Abstract

Voting is one of the important parts in democratic system, which is mostly done conventionally. The implementation of voting activities managed by one party or organization makes the results of voting results vulnerable to manipulation. Blockchain, as a technology that can secure data, can be used as one solution to overcome fraud in the voting process. Voting result data is recorded in the blockchain, then the data is sent to many parties. This distributed data also depends on one party about the results of the voting data. This study discusses the application of a voice recording system using blockchain technology and the process of distributing the data in a peer-to-peer network. In this system, TPS is a node on the network that will record, sign, and then transfer the data to other nodes that are connected to each other in a peer-to-peer network. That way, the data from the voting results of each node will be stored in all nodes. In addition, the results of the voting can be seen in real-time and the process of counting the results of the voting can be done faster.

Abstract

Surveillance is an analytic, systematic, and periodic activity toward diseases or health symptoms so that countermeasures can be done using data processing and dissemination of health epidemiological information to health service providers. Technological developments can be applied to health surveillance activities, e.g., Internet of Things (IoT). This paper aims to find out and analyze business processes, then to conduct process engineering, especially for a non-communicable disease surveillance business processes with an IoT-based technology approach. The methodology used in this paper is business process improvement. This paper produces a design of business process from the stages carried out, including identification, business process analysis, engineering or business process improvement, and business process evaluation, before and after improvement. The business process simulation shows that business process cycle time can be reduced more efficient by an average of 62.9 minutes or 78.77%. It can be concluded that the IoT-based re-engineered business process for the prevention of non-communicable diseases is more efficient in carrying out its activities.

Abstract

Stocks are securities as legal proof of company ownership. Such ownership is traded in the stock exchange only for public companies. A capital market is an activity that accommodates the desire to invest. Traders look for profits by taking advantage of stock movements that always experience fluctuating changes using technical analysis. The problem is how traders decide to buy a stock at an uncertain price. Brown's Weighted Exponential Moving Average (B-WEMA) method has the advantage of a better accuracy level, which is considered able to help with stock price prediction problems. The Levenberg-Marquardt (LM) algorithm has the advantage of optimizing its accuracy; therefore, it is proposed to be used as an optimization method to predict stock prices. The B-WEMA method with LM optimization improves the accuracy of stock price predictions, thereby reducing risks and increasing trading success. Results show the minimum difference of actual prices, and its prediction was 4.03%. The smallest error from MSE and MAPE were 719.56 and 1.99%, respectively.

Abstract

Photovoltaic (PV) performance measurement requires a conditioned environment, which are conditions of solar radiation and temperature standard, thus, a special equipment is required. A simple way to do this is by modeling the PV. The method used to describe the characteristics of PV is equalizing the maximum power of model with the maximum power from datasheet, which is implemented in MATLAB. The simulation results show that the difference between ????????????,???? and ????????????,???? is 0.000314 W and the average absolute error of current, compared to measurement, is 2.159%. The I-V curves obtained in this model are also very identical to the I-V curves using two diode approach or one diode model. The simulation results of this model are also compared to the same model, using the MRFO, SFO, COA, WOA, SA, and GA algorithms, which shows high similarities. I-V curves are strongly influenced by the constants ????, ????????, and ????????. The constant ???????? affects the curvature of the I-V curve, to be precise the curvature at ????????, ????????. Whereas ???????? affects the curvature of the I-V curve before ????????, ???????? and ???????? after ????????, ????????.

Abstract

The flexibility and the easiness of farming using modern hydroponic method have increased the installation requirements. The various types of plants can be applied to modern hydroponic systems, so this method has potential to be applied in various regions. However, not all regions have access to electricity networks. In fact, to operate modern hydroponic systems, an adequate supply of electrical power is required. In addition, a proper design becomes crucial part which has function to maintain the quality of inorganic substances as needed, accurately and automatically measured. Moreover, the system could be set in off-grid mode. Therefore, a further research of automatic hydroponics was conducted to solve various problems. The experimental data shows that the system is working accurately. The percentage of error sensor is not more than 10.75% and the accuracy of actuator performance is 100%. The system is also capable of working for a full day through a solar panel system of 100 WP and a battery of 27 Ah. In conclusion, the design of the automatic hydroponic system is capable of self-maintaining nutritional and pH value, solving artificial irradiation time problem, while simultaneously operating in various areas in a portable manner.

Abstract

This paper presents a novel technique of testing to evaluate the performance of the transmission line protection relay algorithms (model SEL-421 distance relay) using DIgSILENT. The purpose of this publication is to provide an understanding of using DIgSILENT software for testing protection relays. The accuracy of the fault impedance measurement algorithm due to the influence of the system uncertainty factor can be simultaneously observed and tested automatically. The effects of the fault resistance and the power flow angle are considered as uncertainty factors. In the proposed method, the fault simulation on the transmission line is carried out at a number of different fault locations with factors are varied based on the value of the sample parameter and changed simultaneously to see the effect of relay performance. A random sample of parameters is generated over a certain range of values. Automatic testing has been applied through an algorithm developed with DIgSILENT’s DPL (DIgSILENT Programming Language). The examples presented in this publication explaining the proposed methods of testing which can also be used to their practical use. In this publication, the method for testing distance relay has been successfully implemented through a combination of DIgSILENT and MATLAB.

Abstract

The development of technology in automation and robotics is overgrowing because of its high-efficiency level in terms of labor and time. In the warehousing system, one of the robots used is Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV). AGV is a transportation device in the form of a robot that can be controlled automatically, which functions as a carrier of goods using a navigation system to move in a predetermined direction. One of the existing AGV navigation systems is by following a line pattern on the floor. The system is inefficient because, gradually, the line pattern will wear out and can not be detected again due to the friction force of the AGV wheels itself. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an AGV navigation system to minimize these obstacles. This pattern recognition system uses a pattern placed on the building ceiling and camera as a sensor facing upwards, so that AGV can freely detect patterns. Then, the detected pattern was processed through a programmed Raspberry Pi 4 Model B. The test results show that this system can detect the position and successfully displays the coordinate point (x, y) of the AGV and will continue to run at any time until the program is changed as ordered.

Abstract

An online learning system is a very crucial thing nowadays to prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus. However, this system is very difficult to maintain student motivation and engagement because there is no direct interaction between teacher and student. This study reviewed the use of student log data for the needs of learning analytics to predict student performance or drop-out trends from a course by looking at the student interaction log data with the system and student demographic data using open data, namely the Open University Learning Analytics Dataset (OULAD). From reviews of several research articles that refer to these data, we can see: 1) the common problems, i.e., prediction of drop-out student, prediction of student performance and engagement; 2) the features used during modeling, i.e., demographics and interactions, either summarized daily or weekly with various feature representations; 3) learning analysis methods that use machine learning algorithm, i.e., Decision Tree (DT), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP), and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). This paper also discusses the risk mitigation process of students, planning and designing data systems that support learning analytics, and problems that are often encountered during the modeling process.

Abstract

This research is based on the societies' needs to sterilize the goods from delivery services during the Covid-19 pandemic. Due to the societies' needs, the delivery and logistics services did the sterilization of the goods by spraying disinfectant liquid in and out packages that gave impact to the wetness of packages. Therefore, innovation was needed to carry out the sterilization of goods and logistics so that they can be received or sent in good condition. The ultraviolet C (UV-C) disinfectant was this innovation. In this study, the design of a UV-C disinfectant system for sterilizing packages through a mini conveyor has been made. Then, a UV-C disinfectant system with a sterilization area of 90 cm long, 50 cm wide, and 50 cm high is used. The system needs a UV-C lamp with the power of 161.77 watts for the sterilization. The results of irradiation measurements of the UV-C disinfectant system is used to calculate the length of UV-C exposure time. Based on the calculation results, the designed UV-C disinfectant system was able to kill the virus up to 90% of the coronavirus within the length of UV-C exposure time toward the package in the sterilization area of at least 16 seconds.

Abstract

The increase in the number of people with autism in Indonesia is followed by an increase in the need of teachers. The main problem related to teaching children with autism is the lack of teaching skills in dealing with children with autism. One of the methods used by prospective teachers of children with autism to improve their teaching skills is by playing role-changing dramas. One person plays the role of a teacher, while the other plays a child with autism. From interviews conducted with several autistic special education students, this method was considered less effective in understanding and responding to children with autism. Nowadays, Virtual Reality (VR) allows prospective teachers to practice improving their teaching skills in a safer environment. Generally, the learning simulation process using VR utilizes virtual humans who have specific features and abilities. This study presents the ADDIE model's use to develop virtual human animation used as a learning agent for prospective teachers of children with autism. The animation represents movements which are often performed by children with autism that can be used as a VR module. From the test results, it is known that the animation developed is considered to represent the behavior of children with autism.
