Abstract

The COVID-19 has become epidemic in the world at the end of 2019. It has impacted all sectors including education. The learning process that initially took place in the school has now been switched virtually. However, this worsens the students understanding in learning mathematics because previously they found it difficulties even in offline learning activities. Describing the learning proces during this pandemic condition is necesary and important to cope with this problem. The problems during this pandemic are related to three domains, namely cognitive, affective and psychomotor. Therefore, a research about this should be conducted. The method was qualitative research by interview and questionnaire. The participants were ten teachers and ten students from different junior high schools in Bukittinggi and Agam. From cognitive aspect, the result found that students could more easily understand the subject matter delivered by the teacher before the pandemic; the percentage of students' understanding of the material learning decreased by 10% during pandemic. From psycomotor aspect, teachers rarely use instructional media during the online learning process; The use of learning media also decreased by 60%, but the percentage of using online media as a learning resource increased by 50%. Moreover, the difficulty of using learning media for student increased by 40%. From affective aspect, teachers are more flexible in giving punishment to students who are not disciplined and educate students’ behaviors before pandemic than during the online learning process. Teacher gives punishment for students who were not disciplined decreased by 50% after virtual class. Overall, assessment done by teacher tends to the cognitive aspects during pandemic.

Abstract

Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences which is one of the faculty at Unimed in organizing the activities scheduled and archive mail incoming and outgoing mail is still using manual diary. This is less efficient because it will be difficult to find so many archives of letters that have been stored for a long time. Currently, technological advances in the world are growing rapidly and are very much needed. Especially with the emergence of the Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) Pandemic, most of the community's activities are disrupted so that activities are carried out online. Likewise with the student activities of FMIPA Unimed. Now students carry out lectures online. However, for final year students who want to apply for a thesis research letter or active students who want to apply for a scholarship need an active college letter, they must come to campus to take care of the files in order to get the required letter. Therefore, there is a need for a correspondence management application in the administration of FMIPA Unimed so that FMIPA Unimed students can take care of the required letters online, employees can speed up searching for mail data and print out their letter reports. This application is designed web-based using PHP and MySQL. This application has the ability to be accessed anywhere by admins, employees and students so that employees can manage mail with a user login, be it adding, updating, deleting, uploading, downloading and searching for letters and printing mail reports. In addition, it also makes it easier for students to take care of research letters and active lecture letters online until the letters are completed and can be downloaded. This application also provides a place to send messages to each other between employees and students.

Abstract

The shortest path problem usually assumes a clear value (crisp) for the weights of each route. However, the crisp weight sometimes ends up ambiguous in practice in the daily life. The number of arc weights is calculated using fuzzy logic, α-cut fuzzy numbers. The Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm that adopts bee behavior in food searching is used to solve the shortest path problem. This study discusses how to solve numerical problems to find the shortest path using the Artificial Bee Colony algorithm if the arc weights are fuzzy numbers. The algorithm starts with finding the initial solution using Algorithm 1 and then calculated each distance using the sum of α-cut methods. After that, do a local search for each initial solution using the genetic algorithm mutation operator, then searched the distance amount using the same way then compared using the result of distance . The next step was to calculate the fitness value of each solution that would be used to calculate the probability value. The final step was to improve the solution, and an improved solution is said to be a solution if it does not improve again anymore. The calculation process was done repeatedly from the second step to the maximum iteration, i.e. when iteration had reached the limit or the iteration limit fails. Based on the calculation process using ABC algorithm in the case of numerical example, delivery of clean water supply in Gunung Kidul Regency, obtained the shortest route, that is route 1,2,3,5,6 with interval distance equal to 459, 9142.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by an increase in glucose levels in the blood (hyperglycemia), which causes various chronic complications due to abnormalities in insulin secretion. Diabetes Mellitus is known as the Mother of Disease because it is the mother of various other diseases such as hypertension, heart disease, stroke and blindness. In this paper, what would be studied was a mathematical model of Diabetes Mellitus without genetic factors with treatment, the model used for the approach in this case was in the form of SEIIT. The analysis includes determining the model's equilibrium point, determining the basic reproduction number (R0) and analyzing the stability around the equilibrium point. Furthermore, numerical simulation using MAPLE was given based on the values of the related parameters in the mathematical model that describes the conditions in each subpopulation class.

Abstract

More than 250 rice varieties are grown in Indonesia from new superior varieties and local varieties with aromatic, non-aromatic aromas and pigmented rice. Rice quality is one factor that must be considered in addition to high productivity. Generally, the quality of grain and rice quality in Indonesia have met the quality standards set based on SNI 0224-1987/SPI-TAN/01/01/1993 and SNI 6128:2020. Ricequality is determined by several factors such as grain appearance, nutritional value, cooking and eating quality and become one of the foremost considerations for rice buyers. Such information can be utilized as basic data of character of genetic resources on assembling of new superior varieties by rice breeders. Those information can be used as a descriptive information for farmers and rice productivity, high yield, and better rice quality. Good quality local cultivar can be used as parents for the formation of new superior varieties.

Abstract

In Islam, mathematics can be used and applied in worship and muamalah. One of them is a system of linear equations. The Corona Virus Disease pandemic or better known as the COVID-19 is a disease that still be pandemic in every country. A person’s devotion of Allah SWT can be influenced by an event. In this study, we will present the relationship between system of linear equations in the COVID-19 case and person’s devotion of Allah SWT. Using exponential functions of linear equation system which describes the number of victims exposed to COVID-19, we will show that the higher the number of victims exposed to COVID-19 outbreak from day to day, it will increase one's devotion to Allah SWT. And the lower the number of victims exposed to COVID-19 outbreak from day to day, all people must not be careless and continue to increase their devotion to Allah SWT.

Abstract

Human relationship with God can be described by human weakness and desire to serve the greater one. Weak humans need a protector and a place to complain about all problems. Not infrequently the problems of crushing life, despair, loss of hope and so on cannot be resolved alone. A place to complain about all the problems of life, without Him humans may lose their direction and purpose in life. It has become human nature created by Allah SWT, for the purpose of worshiping God. The human relationship with God is as a servant, so humans are obliged to worship Allah throughout their lives, because everything that humans do will be accounted for in the future. Correlation analysis is a statistical tool that can be used to determine the degree of linear relationship between a variable and another variable. Correlation can be positive or negative. Correlation analysis can only explain one correlation value, when the r value is positive then the relationship is positive or when the r value is negative then the relationship is negative, the r value cannot be both. Where as in Islam, the relationship between Allah and His servants can be positive or negative.
