Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive feasibility analysis for establishing an aluminum ingot manufacturing plant in Cilegon Industrial Area, Indonesia, with a production capacity of 50,000 tons per year (TPY) using aluminum scrap as primary raw material. The study encompasses demand assessment for the Indonesian market, supply chain analysis for both raw materials and finished products, evaluation of latest processing technologies, detailed capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operational expenditure (OPEX) calculations, and investment scheme analysis with 60% debt financing and 40% equity investment. The research methodology includes market analysis, technology assessment, financial modeling, and risk evaluation following aluminum smelting industry standards. Results indicate strong market demand with projected growth of 8.5% annually, adequate raw material supply from domestic and regional sources, and competitive advantages through modern reverberatory furnace technology with electromagnetic stirring systems. The total CAPEX is estimated at USD 45.2 million, with annual OPEX of USD 28.7 million. Financial analysis reveals positive net present value (NPV) of USD 12.8 million, internal rate of return (IRR) of 18.2%, and payback period of 6.8 years, confirming project viability. The study concludes that the proposed aluminum ingot plant demonstrates strong commercial and technical feasibility, with robust returns exceeding industry standards and strategic positioning in Indonesia's growing aluminum market

Abstract

This study aims to assess the implementation of smart city innovations in West Bandung Regency in 2024, utilizing a fuzzy logic-based approach. Unlike previous research, which relied on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model, this study employs fuzzy logic techniques to evaluate user satisfaction with 37 prioritized innovative city applications. Fuzzy logic is selected for its capability to process qualitative and subjective data, enabling a more adaptive assessment of user perceptions. Data were gathered through structured questionnaires and in-depth interviews with public service employees, who are the primary users of these digital platforms. Evaluation dimensions—including ease of use, perceived benefits, social influence, and facility availability—were translated into fuzzy sets and analyzed through a Mamdani fuzzy inference system to derive comprehensive satisfaction scores. The results reveal that the “Smart Branding: Visit KBB” and “BA QRIS” applications achieved the highest satisfaction levels, particularly in terms of usability and infrastructure support. The study offers fuzzy logic-based recommendations to enhance the effectiveness, acceptance, and strategic development of smart city innovations. It also proposes an alternative, more responsive evaluation method for policy-making in the context of digital governance. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the AfterTreatment machine maintenance at PT XYZ using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Six Big Losses methods. The AfterTreatment machine is a crucial part of the rayon fiber production process but has been experiencing a high level of downtime. The OEE method is used to measure machine effectiveness based on three key components: availability, performance efficiency, and quality. Data was collected from machine operations between September 2024 and February 2025. The results show that the average OEE value is 75.99%, which is below the world-class standard of 85%. The primary causes of low OEE are losses due to reduced speed, equipment failure, and idling & minor stoppages. By identifying the loss causes through the Six Big Losses and Fishbone Diagram methods, this research proposes improvements including preventive maintenance planning and enhanced operator training. The study concludes that machine effectiveness can be improved by minimizing major losses and optimizing maintenance strategies.

Abstract

This study ains to determine the effect of service quality provided by frontliner on customer satisfaction levels at Bank BJB Syariah Purwakarta. Service quality is an important factor in creating customer satisfaction,especially in the service banking sector. In this study, five dimensions of service quality used include reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and physical evidence. The research method used is a quantitative method using SmartPls. Primary data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents who are active customers of Bank BJB Syariah Purwakarta. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression methods to evaluate the extent to which each service dimension affects customer satisfaction. The results of this study show a value of physical evidence of 0.000, reliability of 0.010, assurance of 0.000, empathy of 0.006, which means that the four dimensions of service quality have a significant effect on customer satisfaction, but the value of responsiveness of 0.607 means it is not significant on customer satisfaction because its value is >0.05.

Abstract

Workload is a critical factor influencing employee performance and well-being, particularly in fast-paced work environments such as fast-food restaurants. Employee complaints and differing perceptions regarding the most demanding aspects of the job indicate a potential workload imbalance. This study aims to analyze employee workload levels, identify the most influential NASA-TLX dimensions, and explore factors contributing to high workload at Ayam Geprek Sambel Cenghar Restaurant. The research method used the NASA-TLX (Task Load Index), which measures workload based on six dimensions: mental demands, physical demands, temporal demands, performance, effort, and frustration levels. Data were obtained from 21 respondents from four operational departments: cashiers, kitchen staff, waitstaff, and chili sauce mashers (grinding). The results showed that 48% of employees were in the medium workload category, 38% in the high category, and the remainder in the low category. The dimensions with the highest scores and contributing the most to the overall workload were physical demands and effort, each contributing 18%. Based on respondents' responses, it was found that long work hours (12 hours) were the main factor increasing workload. Therefore, an evaluation of work hours, including the implementation of a rotating work system (shift), was recommended to reduce fatigue and improve operational efficiency.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has not been fully supported by adequate facilities, resulting in limited dissemination of information to the community. This limitation affects the achievement of student enrollment targets, which have not yet reached an optimal level. This research aims to address the issue by developing a Web-Based Elementary School Profile Management System to introduce SD Negeri 3 Sindangkasih to the wider community. The main problem identified is the lack of effective information media for publishing the school profile, which limits access to information for prospective students and parents. The objective of this study is to design, develop, and implement a web-based information system that comprehensively presents the profile of SD Negeri 3 Sindangkasih. The system is expected to improve information accessibility, expand the school’s promotional reach, and support the process of introducing the school to society. The development method applied is Extreme Programming (XP), an approach that emphasizes collaboration, continuous testing, and adaptability to change. System modeling was carried out using Flowmap and Unified Modeling Language (UML) to visualize workflows and system structures. The system was implemented using PHP, MySQL, XAMPP, and the CodeIgniter (CI) framework. The outcome of this research is an informative and dynamic school profile website. Its main features include a Home Page, Overview, Profile, News & Activities, Achievements, Digital Library, Admission Information, and Contact Us. With this system, the dissemination of information related to SD Negeri 3 Sindangkasih is expected to become more effective and efficient, thereby achieving the goal of introducing the school to a broader audience.

Abstract

Unpredictable weather often complicates the process of drying clothes, especially when rain suddenly falls. This becomes a challenge for both households and laundry businesses. This research aims to design an automatic clothes drying system based on the Internet of Things (IoT), utilizing a rain sensor and a light sensor to detect weather conditions in real-time and automatically adjust the position of the drying rack. The research uses the prototype method, which includes rapid design, device construction, and system testing. The device is controlled by a NodeMCU ESP8266 and connected to the Blynk application for remote monitoring. A BYJ-48 stepper motor moves the drying rack based on input from the rain sensor and LDR (Light Dependent Resistor). Test results show that the system works well and responds quickly to weather changes. The drying rack automatically retracts during rain or low light conditions and extends when the weather is clear. This system offers convenience, efficiency, and a practical solution for everyday clothes drying activities

Abstract

Essential Oil or Essential Oils is a commodity that has great potential in Indonesia, such as the Cosmetics, Foodand Beverage Medicines industry. Therefore, the author analyzes the performance of the essential oil distillation condenserwith a capacity of 200kg with solutions such as flow. Distillation can be done by 3 methods, namely: Distillation with waterand steam / steam distillation system (water and steam distillation), Distillation with boiling system (water distillation /hydro-distillation), and distillation with direct steam (Direct steam distillation / Dry steam). The Reynolds number showsa value of 73.308. Then the type of fluid flow in the pipe is Turbulent Flow. LMTD provides the average rate of heattransferred accurately and quickly which the author has calculated to get a value of 127.61 K. The type of heat exchangeris so complex that it requires a correction factor (Fc) of 1.056 as a comparison of the actual heat transfer rate with themaximum heat transfer rate in the condensing zone of 1.051K.

Abstract

A potential solution to mitigate exhaust emissions and air pollution is converting conventional motorcycles into electric ones. This study carried out the conversion of a gasoline-powered motorcycle to an electric motorcycle and analyzed changes in its dynamic characteristics through measurements of the center of gravity, suspension load distribution, and two-degree-of-freedom vibration response. The methodology involved determining the motorcycle’s center of gravity before and after conversion using the moment-of-force approach and conducting vibration analysis with a two-degree-of-freedom undamped model. Tests were performed in unloaded and loaded conditions with a 70 kg passenger to evaluate the effect of additional mass on suspension performance. Before conversion, the motorcycle’s center of gravity was located at x = 526 mm and y = 147 mm, shifting to x = 577 mm and y = 133 mm after conversion. With a passenger, the center of gravity moved from x = 754 mm and y = 704 mm to x = 762 mm and y = 687 mm after conversion. The total load decreased from 267 kg (74.8 kg front and 192.2 kg rear) to 239.6 kg (66.9 kg front and 172.7 kg rear). The vibration analysis revealed that the main natural frequency slightly increased from ω₁ = 19.507 rad/s (≈3.10 cps) to ω₁ = 19.654 rad/s (≈3.12 cps), while the secondary frequency remained stable at ω₂ = 4.52 rad/s (≈0.71 cps). The amplitude ratio changed marginally from (A/B) = 6.028 m/rad to 6.088 m/rad. Overall, the conversion does not induce significant additional vibration, indicating that the structural dynamics remain stable. However, fine-tuning of battery placement and suspension stiffness is recommended to optimize stability and ride comfort.

Abstract

The metal coating process plays an important role in improving the corrosion resistance and service life of products. One of its main components is the main pot, a refractory container that holds aluminum, zinc, and silicon alloys at high temperatures. The temperature stability of the coating fluid is highly dependent on the performance of the inductor as the main heat source. The problem encountered is that the inductor's capacity is not yet optimal in maintaining the operating temperature, thereby affecting the efficiency of the process and the quality of the coating results. This study aims to analyze the inductor's ability to maintain the main pot temperature, identify factors that affect heating efficiency, and provide recommendations for improving system performance. The methods used include measuring the liquid temperature, recording electrical power, and observing the decrease in coating volume. The results show that four inductors with a total capacity of 1800 kVA only meet about 20–23% of the energy requirements. The fluid temperature can be maintained in the range of 602–608 °C, but tends to decrease over time. The coating volume decreased by an average of 8.05–11.61% during five hours of operation. Increased power capacity and a periodic refill strategy are needed to maintain temperature stability and coating efficiency.
