Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan keadaan Bimbel SG Cibubur sebelum dan pada saat situasi Pandemi Covid-19, mengetahui adaptasi yang dilakukan oleh Bimbel SG Cibubur, serta mengetahui respon yang terjadi pada manajemen dan karyawan dengan adanya adaptasi baru di masa Pandemi Covid-19. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah 3 orang sebagai informan kunci, 2 orang sebagai informan utama, 2 Orang sebagai informan yang dibutuhkan untuk triangulasi data. Wawancara dilakukan secara langsung sejak bulan Juni – Agustus 2021. Hasil penelitian ini berupa adaptasi yang dilakukan oleh Bimbel SG Cibubur, maupun subjek penelitian yang juga terlibat dalam adaptasi di masa Pandemi Covid-19. Adaptasi yang dilakukan berkaitan dengan pembelajaran offline yang diubah menjadi online. Lebih dalam lagi, dalam penelitian adaptasi Bimbel SG Cibubur, peneliti menganalisis hasil temuan dengan Teori Struktural Fungsional Talcott Parson dengan pendekatan AGIL. Ditemukan bahwa adaptasi yang dilakukan oleh bimbel terlihat dalam indikator Adaptation sehingga dapat tercapainya keteraturan sosial dengan segala adaptasi di masa Pandemi Covid-19.

Abstract

Empty land or plantation land in suburban cities has been traded and various facilities have been built in the form of facilities and infrastructure to support urban development. Developments in the form of road construction, city parks, clusters, fashion outlets, restaurants, and others have been built so that they have an impact on people's lives. This article aims to describe the suburbs of Bekasi and find out what impacts and changes in social life occur due to developments in the suburbs. This study uses a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. This research was conducted in the vicinity of Bina Asih, Jatiasih District, Bekasi City, West Java Province. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that the initial development in Jatiasih District began with the construction of the Outer Ring Road Toll Road which had started operating in 2007, then over time the vacant land changed its function from agriculture to housing construction and supporting facilities such as hospitals, restaurants, outlets. fashion, and others. The impact of this development is an increase in population, cases of theft, and the waning of the value of mutual cooperation. Social changes that occur are diverse livelihoods and consumption society.

Abstract

This study aims to describe cultural violence depicted in novels Dari dalam Kubur (2020) and Pulang (2013), both novels describe the post-1965 mass massacres in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative approach with the method of Critical Discourse Analysis. Data collection was carried out by means of a literature study. This research is based on Johan Galtung's concept of cultural violence and Pierre Bourdieu's symbolic violence. The results showed that in both novels there was personal violence and structural violence. To legitimize these two violences, the New Order government used cultural aspects such as ideology, religion, language, art and knowledge. This is the same as the symbolic principle in Pierre Bourdieu's idea of ​​symbolic violence or invisible violence. The use of these cultural aspects has the function of changing the moral and ideological values ​​of the people so that they consider violence against communists and ethnic Chinese community to be normal, and even must be done.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the problems in cybersex crime, one of which is Sexting activity, namely sexual behavior on mobile phones (phone sex), which is currently happening, especially in anonymous-based applications. This study aims to describe the motives for using the Whisper application, then how the process is to form a Sexting activity message, and what social impact is felt by Whisper account users. They use the Whisper application because Whisper is an anonymous-based application that is a place or place for users to do Sexting activities. Where Whisper has a chat rating for each user and always maintains the privacy of its users. Sexting itself is the activity of sending messages in the form of text, or photos through Roomchat social media. They chat using language that leads to sex, or send sex-related pictures to provoke their sexual fantasies. So they can imagine the fantasy and do masturbation and masturbation. On the other hand, the development of digital technology has brought human fantasy to the limit, creating three-dimensional spaces as if humans stepped from the real world to the fantasy world, a virtual world that looks real. When technology satisfies human desires/lusts, giving the charm of ecstasy, then moral values ​​seem to fall out one by one. Communication through the media keeps people trapped in simulation games that have nothing to do with reality. This situation is what Jean Baudrillard calls hyperreality. Imaging makes humans seem to come out of the real world and enter a fantasy world, a virtual world that looks very real. There's a simulation process there, full of visual manipulation.

Abstract

Dalam masyarakat dengan kuasa patriarki yang begitu kuat tidak jarang menimbulkan beragam polemik gender. Mulai dari pembedaan hak-hak antara laki-laki dan perempuan. Kesempatan kerja yang berbeda antara laki-laki dan perempuan. Hingga urusan domestik yang diserahkan sepenuhnya kepada perempuan. Tindakan-tindakan tersebut pada akhirnya membawa perempuan harus berhadapan dengan kekerasan simbolik. Kekerasan simbolik merupakan hasil atau bentuk dari diskriminasi gender dan langgengnya budaya patriarki. Permasalahan kekerasan simbolik beberapa diangkat pada media-media massa, salah satunya novel Kim Ji-yeong Lahir Tahun 1982 karya Cho Nam-joo. Novel ini menggambarkan serangkaian polemik kekerasan simbolik yang diterima oleh perempuan sebagai seorang anak, ibu, istri, dan karyawan di perusahaan. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan menganalisis wacana kekerasan simbolik yang diperoleh melalui teks-teks dalam novel. Sejalan dengan konsep dominasi kuasa Pierre Bourdieu, analisis difokuskan pada aspek bahasa yang merepresentasikan kekerasan simbolik. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa kekerasan simbolik terjadi sebab adanya dominasi kuasa dari pihak-pihak yang memiliki modal lebih tinggi.

Abstract

This research was conducted on 25 July-28 July 2019. The research location was in Toboali, South Bangka, Bangka Belitung Islands at an event held, namely Toboali City On Fire. This study aims to see: 1). Norms as social capital as business development among street vendors, 2). Forms of Trust among street vendors, 3). Benefits of social capital among street vendors to increase the economy. This study uses descriptive qualitative, so in this study the researchers investigated and directly with street vendors and in data collection the researchers also used the accidental sampling method, which the determination of the sample based on chance, that is, anyone who happens to meet the researcher can be used as a sample, if it is considered to be met is suitable as a source of data Based on research, using Coleman's theory, this concept seeks to explain that social capital is the ability of society to achieve common goals within various groups and organizations. (Fukuyama, 1995). With this we know that there is social capital that occurs in the ties of street vendors based on social norms and beliefs, such as they make mutually agreed upon rules so that their business runs smoothly.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and find out from videos-based social media to virtual stores that create consumerism culture through social media TikTok Shop on Bangka Belitung millennial female students. This research is attractive because the development of features in the Tiktok application, namely Tiktok Shop, can construct consumptive behavior. This study used the descriptive qualitative method. The data collection technique was carried out by unstructured interviews with purposive sampling method. The results of this study (1) indicate that consumption patterns on TikTok Shop social media are in the form of intensity in watching live streaming and short video product reviews from buyers, (2) assume that online shopping is effective and efficient, and (3) become more trusting in the authenticity of goods because promotional media will see goods directly. This consumption pattern creates a consumer culture through the TikTok Shop social media. There are 3 driving factors for the millennial generation to create consumer culture, which are: (1) Lifestyle, (2) Mass Industry, (3) Symbolic significancy of goods. This study hoped that the public will not be trapped in false awareness and not be easily persuaded by advertisements. Capitalists have succeeded in playing a role in confusing between wants and needs and creating consumptive behavior.

Abstract

Online shopping is a process of buying goods or services from store who sell goods or services via the internet. In this procedure, the goods being traded are offered through displays with pictures on a website or virtual shop. Online shop is one of the impacts of technological developments. The skyrocketing use of online shops and their various features that pamper consumers has created a tendency for people get everything they want or need more practical. This study tries to explore consumption actions carried out by students who use one of the online shop features, namely the Shopee Paylater payment system. The act of consumption becomes a lifestyle and social construction that is packaged in an economic activity. The consumption action taken is also related to rationality which refers to the effectiveness of shopping.

Abstract

This research’s objective is to determine and examine the relationship between peer group conformity and quarter-life crisis in students of the Faculty of Social Sciences, State University of Jakarta. This research uses quantitative approach and purposive sampling technique with a sample of 100 students of the Faculty of Social Sciences, State University of Jakarta with the criteria of being 20 to 25 years old. The instruments used in this research are the conformity scale and the quarter-life crisis scale. The data were then analyzed using the Pearson product-moment correlation with P = 0.004 and r = 0.283, which means the hypothesis is accepted. This means that the higher the conformity score, the higher the quarter-life crisis experienced by the students of the Faculty of Social Sciences, State University of Jakarta, and vice versa.

Abstract

The existence of an online shopping platform proof of technological development. Shopee as the largest Marketplace in Indonesia provides the Shopee Paylater payment method, a method that provides credit to users. Shopee Paylater is one of the preferred payment methods because of the ease of providing loan funds for its users. Because it is easy for many users to buy goods because of spontaneity without first doing what will happen after making the purchase, giving rise to an impulsive buying attitude. This study focuses on the objectives of students using Paylater as a payment method and consumptive behavior among UNJ sociology students by using the theory of habitus according to Pierre Bourdieu. The results show that students use Shopee Paylater because the discounts offered are so many that students don't want these discounts to just end up giving birth to consumptive behavior and giving birth to impulsiveness. Furthermore, Shopee Paylater makes it easy for students to shop when they don't have money. However, it creates an attitude of waste and impulsiveness.
