Abstract

Contributing factors in how women capable to make a decision about delivery care are attitude andincome factor that will shape their lifestyle, also husband support. People who have in both consumptiveand simple lifestyle assumed that giving birth with obstetrician is more save rather than midwife. Thisresearch is kualitatif and crossectional study, using stratified random sampling to figure out correlationbetween life style and husband support with women decision in their delivery care. Questionnaire havedistributed to 140 women who giving birth at private practice, public health center, clinic and hospital.This study reveals that most of women (60,7%) have a simple lifestyle while 39,3% categories asconsumptive lifestyle. There no significant correlation, refer to p-value of lifestyle is 0.226 and p-valueof husband support is 0.648. Woman who have good support from her husband tend to have a senseof coherence, in which influence on their attitude during pregnant and delivery. Inconclusion, mostwomen have a simple lifestyle, but there is no significant correlation in it. Most women have goodsupport from their husband, however there is no significant correlation to make a decision in theirdelivery care.Keywords: lifestyle, husband support, sense of coherence

Abstract

Service quality and Educational Information Communication (IEC) can affect the continuity ofcontraceptive use. The purpose of this study is how the effectiveness of multimedia-assisted KIEFamily Planning (KB) by midwives in assisting the selection of contraceptives for pregnant women.The pre-experimental research design was in the form of a one group pretest-posttest design, namelylooking at the knowledge of pregnant women about family planning before and after IEC and knowingthe selection of contraceptives before and after IEC which was carried out at the Larashati SewonClinic. The sample of this study was 41 pregnant women in the third trimester of pregnancy with thetechnique of taking acidental sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire. Data analysis usingnonparametric test two samples related test with Wilcoxon. There was a difference in the choice ofcontraceptive before and after being given IEC. There is a difference in the knowledge of pregnantwomen before and after being given IEC. IEC services for family planning by midwives for patientsusing multimedia can increase knowledge, so that it can help pregnant women to choosecontraceptives after childbirth.Keywords: Educational information communication, family planning, contraceptive selection

Abstract

Background : Based on the Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Health in 2013 the coverage (D / S) oftoddlers in Indonesia amounted to 80.30%, in the Special Region of Yogyakarta in 2014 reached79.1% had not met the Ministry of Health Renstra target, the level of community participation in BantulRegency in weighing Posyandu (D / S) of 79.02% and still below 80%, the number of under-fivedeaths in Bantul Regency in 2014 was 131 toddlers, the highest number of under-five mortalityamong the five regencies in DIY, for D/S coverage which was still low in Bantul Regency below 80%namely Bantul 1 Health Center is 75.47%, in the Bantul I Health Center area the scope of weighing(D/S) is still low, namely in Trirenggo Village the D / S coverage in October 2015 was 75.95%.Objective: To find out the relationship between the knowledge of mothers about posyandu and thecoverage of visits (D / S) of toddlers at Posyandu Mekarsari, Trirenggo, Bantul, Yogyakarta.Method: This study was conducted at Mekarsari Trirenggo Bantul Posyandu in February, the studydesign used Bivariate Correlation with a cross sectional approach. The population of mothers whohave children aged 12-60 months who live in the Mekarsari Posyandu area is 65 respondents. Thesampling technique by means of total sampling. Analysis using Chi Square.Results: By using the Chi Square formula, the value of X2 calculated is equal to6,644 with an error rate of 5% (X2 count> X2 table) and p-value <0.05. Respondents in this study canbe categorized as having less knowledge, namely 32 respondents (49.2%) and not active inconducting Posyandu visits 34 respondents (52.3%).Conclusion: There is a relationship between knowledge of mothers about Posyandu and coverage ofvisits (D / S) of children under five at Posyandu Mekarsari Trirenggo Bantul.Keywords: Knowledge about Posyandu, coverage of visits (D/S) toddlers

Abstract

Background: Postpartum care which can be handled by complications such as the entry of germsinto the uterus, both exogenously and endogenously. One form of treatment for postpartum motherswho adhere to the old culture is consuming herbal remedies, either homemade or factory-made. Jamuwhich is a traditional herb, has been widely accepted in almost all countries in the world. According toWHO, countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America use traditional herbal medicine as a complement toprimary medicine. Apart from herbal medicine, other postpartum treatments from Java are bengkung,pilis and massage. Objective: To find out whether Javanese Traditional Healing has significantbenefits for informants in the postpartum recovery process. Benefit: It is hoped that this study will bea reference in postpartum treatment. Research Method: Qualitative study of phenomenology. Thesampling technique used purposive random sampling. With the number of key informants as many as5 people. Data obtained by interviewing 5 key informants and 4 triangulation informants. Results: Theresults showed that all of the informants performed Javanese Traditional Healing. 4 informants drankthe herbal medicine carrying, did massage, used bengkung and pilis, while 2 informants drank the 40-day herbal sachet specifically for the postpartum period, performed massages and used curves.During consuming herbal medicine, doing massage and wearing curves, information states that her breast milk is getting heavier, her body is fit, sleep quality improves and her weight slowly returns tonormal. No complaints were made. Conclusion: The composition of the herbal medicine consumedby the informants can provide a smoothing effect of breastfeeding and make the body of the infomanfresher and maintain body weight coupled with postpartum massage which is carried out afterchildbirth. Meanwhile, Bengkung does not believe in maintaining the shape of the stomach andsupports the spine so that it is not sore.Keywords: Jamu, Traditional, Massage, Bengkung, Postpartum, Postpartum

Abstract

Mini CEX is an authentic assessment method, carried out in a clinic with direct clients and equipped withfeedback as a development for the next student's skills. Mini CEX has not been widely used in assessing theContinuity of Care Comprehensive Midwifery Clinical Practice. Evaluation is needed to see the suitability ofclinical assessment with reference standards. The aim of the study was to evaluate the mini CEX assessmentat the planning, implementation and outcome stages of the assessment. Descriptive evaluation research usingthe CIPP model. Taking a total sample of samples, a total of 176 respondents who were involved in midwiferyclinical practice activities in the Yogyakarta and Purworejo areas. Collecting data using a questionnaire thathas been tested for the validity of Aiken, all instruments are valid with a result of 0.75 (≥ 0.72). The evaluationresults of the assessment planning were very good (77.86%), the implementation by the preceptor was in thegood category (76%) and the assessment by the mentor was in the poor category (56%). Midwifery clinicalpractice assessment method using Mini CEX and feedback is concluded as good and can be continued.Instructor clinical input needs to be provided intensively or given CEX mini assessment training.Key words: evaluation, mini CEX, midwifery clinical practice

Abstract

Family planning program is also specifically designed to create progress, stability, andeconomic, social, and spiritual prosperity for every resident. The family planning program inIndonesia is regulated in Law No. 10 of 1992. The prevalence of contraceptive use amongwomen aged 15-49 years with marital status is 59.3% using modern methods (Implant, MOW,MOP, IUD, Condoms, Pills), 0.4 % used traditional contraception (MAL/Breastfeeding,Periodic/calendar abstinence, interrupted intercourse, others), 24.7% had ever done familyplanning, and 15.5% had never done family planning. Method research uses Descriptiveobservational method using cross sectional design, sampling with total sampling technique. Thesample of this research is couples of childbearing age who use modern contraception as manyas 249 respondents, by collecting secondary data. The results of the descriptive statistical testshowed that most of the respondents were aged > 35 years, 152 (61.0%), the largestrespondent's education was high school education 102 (42%), the largest respondent'soccupation was as a casual worker as many as 80 (12.0%), the largest parity was in the numberof living children 2 were 126 (50.6%), the most used contraceptive method was the Non-MKJPmethod 193 (77.5%), with the largest injection contraception 160 (64.3%). In conclusion, mostof the respondents are >35 years old, with high school education, type of casual work, mostparity has 2 living children, non-MKJP contraceptive users with injection dominantcontraception.Keywords: Age, Education, Occupation, Parity, Modern Contraceptive Methods

Abstract

Background: The incidence and mortality from cervical cancer (cervical cancer) in theworld second only to breast cancer. Meanwhile, in developing countries still ranks asthe top cause of cancer deaths in the reproductive age. Cancer of the cervix is still athreat for women so it is called the "silent killer". Currently cervical cancer is still amatter of women's health should be taken seriously due to the high prevalence ofcervical cancer in Indonesia. Early marriage is one factor that is suspected to be thecause of the high prevalence of cervical cancer in Indonesia.Objective: This study aimed to determine whether there is a relationship between earlymarriage with the risk of cervical cancer.Methods: This study is a correlation study is to determine whether there is arelationship early marriage with risk of cervical cancer in the village Pandes, Wedi,Klaten, Central Java.Results and Conclusion: Based on the analysis of data analysis known p value of0.01 (p value <0.05), and is therefore interpreted the hypothesis is accepted that thereis a significant relationship between marriage themselves with the risk of cervicalcancer.Keywords: early marriage, cervical cancer

Abstract

The prenatal and postnatal periods require contraceptive counseling to increaseunderstanding of the benefits of contraception for reproductive health. The purpose of thisliterature review is to analyze the results of research related to the effectiveness of contraceptivecounseling carried out in the prenatal and postnatal periods to increase the use of moderncontraception. Writing this journal uses a literature study approach from several databases,namely PubMed, ProQuest and Google Scholar. Eight research journals reported thatinterventions in various forms and media led to better knowledge, more positive attitudes, andhigher intentions towards contraceptive uptake. The results of the study can be used as a sourceof information to help solve health problems, especially regarding decision making using moderncontraception.Keywords: Counseling, Family Planning, Contraception, Women of Childbearing Age

Abstract

Background: During pregnancy, mother experienced some discomfort. One of them thatoccurred in early pregnancy was the appearance of nausea symptoms and vomiting (emesisgravidarum). If they were not treated immediately, it can cause hyperemesis gravidarum. Themanagement of nausea and vomiting can be done with complementary therapy, namely byusing aromatherapy. In this study, two types of aroma therapy were used, they were lemon andpeppermint aromatherapy. Objective: To determine the difference in the effectiveness of givinglemon and peppermint aromatherapy in reducing emesis gravidarum in first trimester ofpregnant women. Methods: This study used a quasi-experimental method with a two-grouppre-test and post-test design with a sample of 20 respondents using a simple random samplingtechnique. Data collection was carried out on May 20 to June 16, 2021 at Titin Widyaningsih’sMSP using the RINVR questionnaire. Results: There was a difference before and after beinggiven lemon aromatherapy in reducing nausea and vomiting in first trimester of pregnant womenwith the paired t-test, the p-value was 0.001. There was a difference before and after beinggiven peppermint aromatherapy in reducing nausea and vomiting in first trimester of pregnantwomen with the paired t-test, the p-value was 0.006. There was no difference between givingboth aromatherapy in reducing nausea and vomiting in first trimester pregnant women withindependent t-test p-value 0.738. Conclusion: There was an effect of lemon and peppermintaromatherapy in reducing emesis gravidarum in first trimester of pregnant women. There wasno difference between giving both aromatherapy in reducing nausea and vomiting in firsttrimester of pregnant women.Keywords: Emesis Gravidarum, RINVR, lemon and peppermint aromatherapy

Abstract

Most of the maternity mothers stated that they could not stand the pain they felt, especially in theabdomen, waist, back and radiating to the spine, so that the mother continued to feel pain during the firststage of labor. Contractions during labor can cause pain. Labor pain is a problem that has not receivedspecial attention, even though the purpose of intrapartum care itself is to reduce pain in labor, in additionto providing calm and comfort to the mother, it can also help speed up the process of opening the birthcanal. reduced by taking non-pharmacological actions, one of which is the provision of massageeffleurage. Massage effleurage which is done in the abdominal area to help reduce pain that arises duringthe labor process. The purpose of this study was to determine whether massage effleurage can reducethe pain response in women in the first stage of labor based on the literature review. The design ofscientific papers is in the form of a literature review with three articles taken from the Google Scholarjournal page with the keyword "massage effleurage". “labor pain” and “Active phase I stage”. The numberof respondents from the three articles was 49 mothers who gave birth. The average value of painresponse before effleurage massage was 5.883, and the average value of pain response after effleuragemassage was 3.576. The conclusion is that the action of massage effleurage can help reduce the painresponse in the active phase of the first stage of labor. Suggestions for health workers, especiallymidwives, to be able to apply the effleurage massage technique in the first stage of the active phase toreduce pain in the labor process.Keywords: Massage Effleurage, Level of Labor Pain in Active Phase I
