Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether or not the differences in academic hardiness levels seen from college student's activity while working and student who actively participate in an organization. The approach of this research is quantitative by using the T-test analysis technique, while sampling uses the purposive sampling technique. The subjects in this study were students who studying while working and actively participate in an organization in a total of 120 people. Measuring tools to collect data using a scale of academic hardiness. Scale academic hardiness consists of 45 items (with reliability = 0.898). Based on the data analysis performed, the value of t count <t table is -1.973 <1.979 with p = 0.051 (p <0.05). These results indicate that there are no significant differences in academic hardiness levels in working student and student who actively participate in an organization. Then the hypothesis in this study was rejected.

Abstract

This study aims to know the relationship between the psychological contract with work motivation. The subjects that used in this study are employee at PT. Sumtek Medan, in which the population consists of 110 employee. Data obtained from the scale to measure psychological contract and work motivation. The calculation of the datas began by doing a test prerequisite analysis (the test of assumptions) that consists of a test of normality and a test of linearity. The results of analysis showed the correlation coefficient at 0.762 of the significance 0.000 (p < 0.05). This shows there is a positive relationship between psychological contract with work motivation. The results of this study indicate that the variable of work motivation can be predicted by psychological contract at 58.1 percent and 88.9 percent of the rest are influenced by other factors which not examined in this study. Based on the results of this study, the hypothesis of there is a positive relationship between psychological contract with work motivation is accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the relationship between the big five personality with the buying interest of the robe, which moderated by the perception of the product quality at Ahmad Dahlan University Yogyakarta students. A total of 65 students from Ahmad Dahlan University in Yogyakarta from various faculties and any major. The data collection of the research sample was carried out by a cluster sampling technique. This research using the big five personality inventory (BFI), the scale of perception of product quality, and the scale of buying interest. Research data analysis was performed by analysis using path analysis techniques. The results showed a negative relationship between the big five personality and buying interest which was moderated by the perception of the product at Ahmad Dahlan University Yogyakarta students. The path of analysis coefficient shows the total impact of p = -0.10. The total impact is smaller than the direct impact of the big five personality with buying interest which shows the path analysis coefficient of p = 0.07. These results indicate that the perception of product quality as a moderator variable has a negative impact on the relationship between the big five personality and buying interest. Based on the results of the study, the hypothesis proposed in the study was rejected.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between perceived organizational support and employee performance in production at PT Batanghari Barisan Padang. The independent variable in this study is perceived organizational support and the dependent variable is Performance. The measuring instrument used in this study is the scale of perceived organizational support and performance. The sampling technique in this study uses a saturated sample technique. The sample in this study was 81 employees of the production field of PT Batanghari Barisan Padang. The validity and reliability test in this study uses the Cronbach Alpha technique. The results of the validity coefficient on the scale of perceived organizational support move from rix = 0.310 to rix = 0.809 with a reliability coefficient of α = 0.883 while on the scale of moving performance from rix = 0.316 to rix = 0.803 with a reliability coefficient of α = 0.864. Based on data analysis, a correlation value of 0.515 was obtained with a significance level of 0.000, which means the hypothesis was accepted. This shows that there is a significant relationship between perceived organizational support and the performance of employees in the production sector at PT Batanghari Barisan Padang. The effective contribution of the variable perceived organizational support for performance by 30%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the psychological dynamics and factors that cause one schizophrenic spectrum disorder that is schizoaffective for the symptoms of schizophrenia and affective disorders that stand out at the same time. This research is a qualitative case study with one participant, Joko who is diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. The examination used interviews, observation, and several psychological tests. The results show that there are internal factors such as personality, coping skills, genetic vulnerability and external factors such as social support and unfulfilled affection and stressors as triggers that contribute to schizoaffective disorders. The results of the study can be a reference to prevent schizoaffective disorders through psychoeducation to families and help people with schizoaffective disorders by providing interventions to train emotional regulation and coping skills.

Abstract

The purpose in this study is to find out the relation between academic cheating and academic procrastinations. Academic procrastination is the act of someone who replaces the implementation of more important things with tasks that are not too important, or doing things that are more fun to do so that procrastinating important tasks to another day (Newton, 2014). The researchers assuming there was a positive relationship between variable academic cheating and academic procrastinations. Participants for this study collected by a disproportionate stratified random sampling method and the sample in this research are 139 students at SMA Yos Sudarso Medan. The correlation coefficient obtained was 0.562 (p<0.05). These results show that there is a absolute and significant relationship between academic cheating and academic procrastinations.

Abstract

Pt. PN is a company engaged in coal mining contractors. One of the vision &mission of PT. PN is becoming a global top 8 company that has excellence in all fields. Business expansion is one of the company's agenda to become an excellent mining company in Indonesia. This research was conducted to identify and map problems in PT PN by using open system model diagnostic method and data collection with qualitative method. The results showed that there are problems in the HRM system, not optimal HRM system because the development program has not been optimal, so it has an impact on employee competence, competency problems then impact on employee readiness on the business expansion agenda. Mentoring program intervention at the deputy project manager level aims to assist the company in carrying out the development process in the company. The intervention of this mentoring program also supports the company's mission in improving the quality of human resources and preparing competent cadres for organizational sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between parental meta-emotion and emotion regulation on pre-school kids. In IndonesiaThe two dimensions of parental meta-emotion are emotion coaching and emotion dismissing. The independent variable in this study is emotion coaching and the dependent variable are emotion coaching and emotion dismissing. The sampling technique in this study uses purposive sampling technique with 97 mothers in Bandung City. The measuring instrument used in this study is Emotion Regulation Checklist (ERC) and Maternal Emotion Style Questionnaire (MESQ). The validity and reliability test in this study uses the Cronbach Alpha technique. The result of the validity coefficient on ERC move from 0,339 to 0,953 with reliability coefficient of a = 0,951 for liability/negativity dimension and 0,948 for emotion regulation dimension. While on MESQ move from 0,317 to 0,697 with reliability coefficient of a = 0,649 for emotion regulation dimension and 0,747 for emotion dismissing dimension. Based on data analysis, a correlation value between emotion coaching and emotion regulation is 0,139 with a significance level of 0,173 and a correlation value between emotion dismissing and emotion regulation is -0,416 with a significance level of 0,000. This shows that there is not a significant relationship between emotion coaching and emotion regulation, and also there is a significant relationship between emotion dismissing and emotion regulation on pre-school kids.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the effect of work family conflict on career development. The subjects used in this study were 196 police officers in the North Sumatra Regional Police Directorate General of Criminal Investigation. The hypothesis proposed in this study states that the influence of work family conflict on career development, where work family conflict tends to undermine the career development of a police officer. Analysis of the data used in this study is Correlational Analysis through the help of SPSS 25 for windows. The results ofcorrelation analysis correlation values (r) of -0.416 with p = 0.000 (P <0.05). This research shows that the contribution of Adjust R Square given to work family conflict on career development is 16.9%, the remaining 83.1% is influenced by other factors. With this result it shows that there is a negative relationship between work family conflict and career development, where work family conflict significantly influences career development.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the relationship between self-efficacy and procrastination of teachers in Kretek 1 Junior High School with a sample of 34 teachers consisting of female and male teachers. The data collection of the research sample was carried out by random sampling model where every individual in the population gets the same opportunity to become participants for research subjects. This research using the scale of procrastination (Alpha 0.781) and the scale of self-efficacy (Alpha 0.820). Research data analysis was performed by the product moment with SPSS 19 for windows program. The results showed that the correlation coefficient between the two variables was -0,524 with p = 0.001 (<0.05). The results concluded that there was a significant relationship between self-efficacy and procrastination, therefore the hypothesis in this study was accepted.
