Abstract

Tujuan penelitan ini adalah mendeskripsikan struktur intrinsik dan ekstrinsik sastra lisan dalam cerita rakyat Vova Sanggayu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, metode ini mendeskripsikan unsur intrinsik dan ekstrinsik yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat Vova Sanggayu. Jenis data dalam penelitian adalah data tertulis dari teks cerita rakyat tentang asal usul nama Kabupaten Pasangkayu (cerita rakyat Vova Sanggayu). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik Observasi, wawancara, teknik rekam, dokumentasi, evaluasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan unsur-unsur pembangun dalam cerita rakyat Vova Sanggayu yang meliputi: (1) unsur intrinsik yang terdiri dari tema, alur atau plot, tokoh dan penokohan, latar, sudut pandang, gaya bahasa, amanat dan (2) unsur ekstrinsik dalam cerita rakyat yang meliputi biografi, nilai sosial, nilai agama, nilai budaya, nilai moral.

Abstract

Reflection is one stage in Lesson Study activities. It is a very important stage since further effort to improve the learning process depends on the sharpness of the analysis given by the observers in reflection. This research aims at describing the category and the level of observers’ reflection on lesson study activities. This research was conducted in SMP Negeri 2 Bua by using qualitative method. In order to categorize the categories and the level of teacher’s reflection, the researchers used the instrument developed by (Ono et al., 2013) which are divided into 5 reflection categories, those are; 1) teaching and learning strategies, 2) teacher’s behavior, 3) Lesson experienced by students (students’ learning, students’ behavior, and interaction between students), 4) achievement of lesson and curriculum objectives, 5) logistic; management planning, and 4 reflection levels (1, 2, 3, 4). The finding of the research shows that from three times reflection, most of the observers’ comment on reflection was categorized into the third category; that is lessons as experienced by students and this category is in level 1. It means that most of the observers’ comment was focused on describing the students’ experiences/behavior but not including their explanation about the reason of the possible cause for the observation. In the end of this research, some recommendations are drawn for the future reflection.

Abstract

English for Food Technology (EFT) is one of the subjects which should be learnt in the third semester by students majoring Food and Technology Department. Most of the students find some difficulties in reading comprehension since they do not have background knowledge related to the new vocabularies. The purpose of this study was to describe the difficulties encountered by students in learning English for Food Technology especially in reading comprehension. This study employed qualitative design. There were 11 students who have passed English for Food Technology recruited as the sample of research. The data were collected by using questionnaire, test, and interview. The data were analyzed descriptively. The result of this research showed that students’ difficulties in learning English for Food Technology were unfamiliar words, lack of background knowledge, and complex syntax. It is expected that the lecturer give motivation and apply various teaching method so the students can be motivated in learning English for Food Technology.

Abstract

Masyarakat dalam proses komunikasi dan interaksi lebih cenderung menggunakan variasi bahasa. Salah satu variasi bahasa yang digunakan adalah alih kode campur kode.Alih kode dan campur kode adalah pergantian pemakaian bahasa atau ragam bahasa daerah kedalam bahasa lndonesia. Peralihan bahasa daerah ke Bahasa Indonesia, dan bahasa Indonesia ke bahasa daerah dikarenakan kondisi tertentu. Interaksi antara penjual dan pembeli di Pusat Niaga Palopo yang terjadi lebih bervariasi dalam menggunakan bahasa, sehinggan memudahkan antara penjual dan pembeli saling memahami maksud dan tujuan pada saat proses transaksi berlangsung. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penyebab terjadinya alih kode campur kode dalam interaksi penjual dan pembeli.Jenis penelitian ini merupakan deskriptif kualitatif artinya data yang dianalisis dan hasil penelitian hanya menggambarkan dan menjelaskan tidak berbentuk angka-angka.Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik simak, teknik rekam, dan teknik catatat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat proses alih kode dan campur kode dalam pemakaian bahasa pada saat tawar menawar antara penjual dan pembeli di Pusat Niaga Palopo. Dengan demikian, penggunaan alih kode dan campur kode antara penjual dan pembeli dipengaruhi adanya kebiasaan penutur, mitra tutur, dan situasi pembicaraan tertentu serta kemampuan pemakaian bahasa yang dilatar belakangi oleh tingkat pendidikan baik penjual dan pembeli.

Abstract

Penelitian ini diharapkan mampu memberi pengetahuan kepada pembaca/tenaga pengajar tentang metode yang sebaiknya digunakan dalam pembimbingan karya ilmiah terhadap mahasiswa yang akan menyusun tugas akhir . Lokasi penelitian di Politeknik LP3I Makassar. Sumber data terdiri dari dua sumber data, data primer, yaitu data berupa penerapan metode direct learning systematic. Data sekunder, yaitu data tambahan yang diperoleh dari buku-buku sumber yang mendukung penelitian ini. Durasi penelitian selama 2 bulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan menunukkan bahwa penerapan metode direct learning memiliki pengaruh besar terhadap keberhasilan mahasiswa dalam menyusun karya ilmiah tugas akhir. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menyusun karya ilmiah. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu bahan referensi bagi perguruan tinggi dan tenaga pengajar membimbing proses penyusunan karya ilmiah mahasiswa, khusunya tugas akhir.

Abstract

This research has two variables, namely the students’ writing skill as independent variable and picture series as dependent variable. The aim of the research is to find out the effectiveness of picture series in improving students’ writing skill at Mega Buana University. The research applied Pre-Experimental method, where the students were given both pre test and post test. The population of this research is the Fourth Semester Students of Midwifery Study Program at Mega Buana University with the total of population are 42 students. The researcher chose 15 students as sample. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique. The result of this research showed the probability was 0.000 < 0.05. Based on this fact can be showed that H0 was rejected. Therefore there was different mean score of pre test and post test in this class. By looking at this result, can be understood that picture series was effective to improve students’ writing skill.
