Abstract

Ahead of the 2024 presidential election, Nasdem has nominated Prabowo as a presidential candidate. On the other hand, Ganjar Pranowo has also been promoted by a number of parties so that Prabowo and Ganjar must compete in a healthy manner. In 2023, Ganjar was discussed by various media because Ganjar participated in rejecting Israel's presence to play in the 2023 U-20 World Cup which caused Indonesia to fail to host. As a result, Ganjar received a lot of negative comments. As a Nasdem cadre and owner of the mediaindonesia.com portal, Surya Paloh has the power to regulate how news is framed regarding issues facing Ganjar for personal political gain. Therefore, this study aims to determine the framing analysis of Ganjar Pranowo's news in rejecting the presence of the Israeli national team in Indonesia on mediaindonesia.com. This study uses a qualitative approach with observational data collection techniques and framing analysis using the Robert N. Entman model. There are four elements used in the Entman model, namely Problem Identification, Causal Interpretation, Moral Evaluation, and Treatment Recommendations. The conclusion of this study is that Mediaindonesia.com is neutral in framing news, Mediaindonesia in framing news provides an opportunity and space for agreement from Ganjar to provide his response and mediaindonesia.com does not provide his statement to lead opinions. Therefore, there is no personal political interest in the way mediaindonesia.com is framed

Abstract

Apart from being a medium for conveying information, YouTube is also used as a means of entertainment, such as the comedy podcast YouTube channel. Podcast comedy programs present humor that can entertain and make the audience laugh. The purpose of this research is to find out the humor shown by Vincent and Desta on Vindes' YouTube. This research is also to find out the style of humor displayed by Vincent and Desta on Vindes' YouTube. The data collection technique uses a purposive sampling analysis technique. While the research method uses qualitative research. The results of this study show that Vincent and Desta's humor on YouTube Vindes uses an affiliation humor style aimed at entertaining with a positive relationship, then Vincent and Desta also display aggressive humor, this humor is negative and self-defeating humor, this humor is self-deprecating.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Perspectives on Islamic Communication in Responding to Verbal Violence in BrandonKent Everything's Vlog Game". In this study, the authors raise the issue of how the perspective of Islamic communication responds to verbal violence in the BrandonKent Everything vlog game. The background of this research is the presence of verbal violence in BrandonKent's game vlog shows. The purpose of this study was to find out the perspective of Islamic communication in responding to verbal violence in the BrandonKent Everything game vlog. The theory used in this study is the Hypodermic Needle Theory. The type of research used in this study is a qualitative research method that produces descriptive data. The source of the data obtained in this study is directly from the game's vlog broadcast on the BrandonKent Everything YouTube channel. The results of this study indicate that there is violence in vlog game shows on the BrandonKent Everything channel, namely words that contain verbal violence such as swearing, insulting, cursing, mocking and cornering in a loud tone and as if yelling. This verbal abuse can be found in the video games he plays on BrandonKent Everything's YouTube channel.

Abstract

The development of an increasingly sophisticated era in the field of technology in the 21st century has made cellphones inseparable from the means of everyday life. For a student, a cellphone can also be related to daily lifestyle. However, because of these cellphones, it is not uncommon for teenagers to have difficulty interacting with the people around them. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cellphones on social interaction in the Communication Sciences department of Tidar University with a sample of 70 people taken using non probability sampling. This study used a quantitative method using the IBM SPSS version 25 application. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that teenagers prefer to interact using cellphones rather than interacting directly.

Abstract

This thesis discusses the Communication Strategy of Traditional Leaders in Maintaining "The Tradition of Borrowing Brides for Family Adaptation" in Ujanmas Baru Village, Kec. Ujanmas, Kab. Muara Enim, South Sumatra. The main problems in this study are how the communication strategy is carried out by traditional leaders in maintaining the tradition of borrowing from prospective brides in Ujanms Baru Village and what are the inhibiting factors faced by traditional leaders in maintaining the tradition of borrowing prospective brides in Ujanmas Baru Village. Based on these problems, the purpose of this research is to find out the communication strategy used by traditional leaders in maintaining the tradition of borrowing from the bride and groom in Ujanmas Baru Village and to find out the inhibiting factors faced by traditional leaders in maintaining the tradition of borrowing from prospective brides in Ujanmas Baru Village. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. The selected informants are those who have the relevance needed for research consisting of traditional leaders or traditional leaders, government, religious leaders, and the local community. data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Data were analyzed by descriptive qualitative supported by primary data and secondary data. The results of the study show that the strategy used by traditional leaders is to provide material to the younger generation regarding customs that exist in Ujanmas Baru Village with all local wisdom, traditional leaders use stories or fairy tales to teach customary values ​​or norms in tradition to the community, especially the younger generation. When carrying out the tradition, traditional leaders usually invite the younger generation to be involved in it. Then in the tradition of borrowing the bride and groom, there are obstacles faced by traditional leaders, namely lack of support from stakeholders, ignorance of the community, especially the younger generation regarding customs, currents of globalization that are rife due to changing times which have reduced the interest of the younger generation and because of differences in traditions or customs in other regions.

Abstract

The Nagari government communication process is a rule that is conveyed regarding the stages of conveying information to the public. Information is a collection of data or messages that have been processed to obtain knowledge that is more useful for achieving a goal. The target of an information about the village of Alahan Nan Tigo is the Nagari community. In the process of conveying information, those who are responsible for conveying information are the nagari secretary and the jorong head who are conveyed directly by gathering the community in one place and through the media such as being contacted by telephone. besides that the communication process in conveying information also utilizes social media Facebook and Instagram nagari which are managed by the nagari treasurer. The research method used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive approach and uses Joseph Devito's theory. The results of this study are that the communication process in conveying information is carried out in stages which will be directly coordinated by the nagari secretary to the jorong head who is then responsible for conveying information to the community, this coordination is carried out directly at the wali nagari office and also through the nagari government group. In addition, in conveying information, social media is also used, namely Facebook and Instagram Nagari.

Abstract

The taklim council, as a form of preaching organization and religious studies, has now been packaged with appropriate preaching strategies in order to attract young people to study religion while not appearing outdated. The taklim council Al-Falah, which is the first place in Haurgeulis for Islamic religious studies specifically for Muslim women, was established in early 2018 with only eight members and now has around 100 members. The increase in congregations in less than two years demonstrates that the taklim council’s preaching strategy has been quite successful. This paper provides an understanding how preaching strategies uses by the taklim council Al-Falah Haurgeulis of increase in the congregation. This study uses a qualitative field research method with descriptive analysis. In-depth interviews, observation, and documentation were used to collect data. According to the findings of this study (1) formulating a preaching strategy by examining the relationship between the organization and its environment, (2) the use of preaching strategies in the field implementation process are sentimental strategies, rational strategies, and sensory strategies, (3) Do evaluations and show changes in the congregation is viewed in terms of quantity and quality.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how interactions that occur in friendship circles provide changes in the self-concept of high school students. The friendship environment is one of the supporting factors in the development of students' self-concept. Basically, the self-concept becomes a form of individual reference in positioning themselves in an environment, and the friendship circle enters into an important part of the formation of the self-concept in high school students who are members of the circle formation environment. The research method used is a qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. As for the results of this study, they show that the self-concept of students who have joined the friendship circle does experience changes in their self-concept so as to form changes in their attitudes and behavior while in their circle environment, and this is due to a sense of confidence among individuals in the friendship circle.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the perceptions of Islamic youth organizations at UIN Raden Fatah regarding reporting on the conflict between Russia and Ukraine in the Tribun News.com media. The method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive method. The sample in this study were members of the PMII and HMI organizations, totaling 65 people, namely 40 people from PMII and 25 people from HMI. The results of the analysis of the data processing process found that almost all members of the HMI organization had the perception that the Tribun.News media had reported the conflict between Russia and Ukraine very well and met good quality standards for reporting, and furthermore the perceptions of respondents from PMII were also almost the same, there were more PMII organization members think that Tribun.News has been very good at reporting on the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, and they rate any news content positively about the conflict.

Abstract

 This thesis is entitled "Public Trust in Conventional Media and New Media Reporting (Study in RW 02 village Prabumulih" with the problems in this research are: the level of public trust in Conventional Media and New Media and what are the factors that influence public trust and distrust towards Conventional Media and New Media. The method used in this study is a quantitative method to get more and more accurate data. The data collection technique is a questionnaire or questionnaire, the data analysis technique is to use a percentage formula which is managed with simplified numbers in tabulation form as well as the results of the interviews which will be written based on the data obtained. The results of this study indicate that people trust and like New Media more than Conventional Media, while the causes and factors of people's trust and disbelief in the two media are the advantages and disadvantages that both media have.
