Abstract

This study aims to find out how the Gatra Sumbagsel Strategy maintains the existence of information media in the new media era. With the presence of Gatra Sumbagsel media as an extension of Gatra Nasional in maximizing business potential in Sumbagsel which has not been optimally exploited by Gatra Nasional. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative methods with primary data sources from interviews and secondary data sources from observation and documentation. The data collection carried out by the researcher was in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show the strategies implemented by Gatra Sumbagsel in maintaining its existence as an information medium: Conduct strategic management, analyze the environment, formulate strategies, implement and then evaluate. the program carries out program planning, utilizes social media as a medium in promoting its programs or providing information, implementing strategies in production, monitoring and evaluating programs, implementing strategies in HR development of gatra sumbagsel providing opportunities for employees of gatra sumbagsel to contribute ideas and provide training to employees of gatra sumbagsel. Based on the results of the research conducted by the researchers, it can be concluded how the South Sumatra gatra strategy maintains the existence of information media in the new media era. After managing the Gatra Sumbagsel media strategy, it can maintain the existence of information media in the new media era, because it has contributed to and has followed technological developments where social media has become a medium with a dual role, the responsibility of the elite to a quality public. Media Gatra Sumbagsel is expected to continue to innovate in making quality programs and in accordance with the wishes of the community. As well as improve the quality of the program.

Abstract

This research focuses on the conflict management of students skipping school conducted by counseling teachers. The background of the research is the decline in student academic achievement and the efforts of counseling teachers in handling conflicts of students skipping school so as to get better results. The research was conducted with the aim of knowing the factors, impacts and efforts of counseling teachers in handling conflicts of students skipping school. The research is descriptive qualitative in nature which is used as a theory development that has been built from data obtained in the field or research site. Informants in the study were the counseling teacher and 5 students who often skipped school at SMA Negeri 1 Tiris. Data collection techniques using observation and interviews. The results of the research obtained are that students skip class due to lack of learning motivation, environment, boredom, dislike of teachers and certain subjects. From this skipping behavior, it has an impact such as missing lessons, declining academic achievement to not going to class. The handling efforts made by the BK teacher are by giving points, coaching, calling parents and a stamped statement.

Abstract

This study discusses "Student Perceptions About Learning Through Whatsapp Social Media" with the problems in this study are: What are the perceptions of various students about learning through whatsapp social media because along with the times, the presence of the internet provides information for the general public including students. With the emergence of social media which is used as a medium for communication, it allows everyone to interact with people who are far away without knowing boundaries and time. From various backgrounds and ages, almost all have and use social media. The purpose of this research is to find out. The purpose of this research is to find out what students can learn through whatsapp social media about where students know a lot to get information, communicate more easily, motivation in learning which can increase student enthusiasm. In this study, the authors used qualitative research with data sources obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. After that the data obtained is analyzed, presenting the data, and making conclusions. Based on the research results that have been obtained from learning through whatsapp social media can continue learning discussions, facilitate assignment collection, organize learning materials, create learning communities, get information quickly, practically, do learning easily, anywhere, facilitate communication among students and add outlook.

Abstract

This thesis is entitled "Analysis of Moral Messages in the Soap Opera Cinta After Cinta" in the current technological era, television is no stranger to society, television functions as a medium and means of information and entertainment and one of them is soap operas. In general, soap operas depict stories of everyday life for the community. There is a moral message contained in films/shows. Morals are good and bad teachings that apply to society. The purpose of this study is to find out what moral messages are contained in the soap opera Cinta After Cinta. This study uses Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic analysis and uses qualitative research in the form of observation and documentation. The documentation method takes several scenes from the soap opera Cinta After Cinta which was broadcast on 16 May-20 May 2022. The results of this study contained a moral message that was conveyed in the broadcast on 16 May-20 May 2022. Among other things, wise parents are to always protect their children, promises marriage is not just a promise but must be kept, caring for a husband is the duty of a wife, a dutiful child is helping and praying for his parents and others.

Abstract

In this 4.0 era, the majority of people are already using social media. Not only individuals, social media is also made for organizations and institutions. Each institution has a library with its own advantages. In this day and age, most university libraries are already using a digital system, although the manual system is still there. UNILAK libraries use social media as a library marketing tool. This strategy is used for various purposes, namely to promote the printed collection as well as the collection of e-books and e-journals. The use of social media is very effective to inform users about new collections. Not only informing about collections, social media can also be used to inform services and activities in the library. Another benefit of using social media in this library is that information sharing becomes more effective and reaches a wider range of users. Social media for libraries can also encourage librarians to innovate and increase creativity in creating new forms of service that have not existed before in libraries. To provide information about the services available in the library, a librarian can not only inform in written form, but can also do so by informing it through moving images equipped with sound (audio visual).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the communication strategy of the Banyuasin MSS (Masyrakat Sehat Sriwijaya) in disseminating TB elimination programs to the community. The research was conducted because today many people are less concerned about health, concern for managing a healthy lifestyle for some people is still very minimal in developing countries like Indonesia. Health problems in Indonesia are endlessly discussed, especially for people who have incomes below the average. Therefore researchers are interested in conducting research in this field. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. the researcher wants to describe the conditions that will be observed in the field in a more specific, transparent, and in-depth manner. This study attempts to describe situations/events so that the data that will be collected is descriptive in nature to identify the internal and external environment in MSS (Masyarakat Sehat Sriwijaya) Banyuasin.

Abstract

In Indonesia, one regional culture that still survives is the cultural practice of punggahan to welcome Ramadan. Although often difficult to understand by the general public, this tradition contains valuable messages and meanings. So, the purpose of this research is to hermeneutically analyze how the message is interpreted in relation to the cultural practice of puntungan in commemorating Ramadan. The case study method used in this research is a qualitative approach. In-depth interviews were used to gather information, and the implementation of the puntungan cultural tradition in a village in Tanah Seribu was observed. According to the research findings, punggahan, a cultural tradition used to welcome Ramadan, conveys messages of social cohesion, friendship, and appreciation for the blessings of Allah SWT. Understanding the messages and meanings contained in the punggahan cultural tradition can be aided by hermeneutics. However, this study also identified a number of concepts, including cultural context, personal background and perceptions, which may influence how the message is interpreted in the context of the upload. Therefore, it is important to consider such factors when interpreting messages from the punggahan cultural tradition in order to have a more thorough and accurate understanding.

Abstract

Pola Komunikasi bentuk atau pola hubungan antara dua orang atau lebih dalam proses pengiriman serta penerimaan pesan. Wanita Tuna Susila (WTS) merupakan salah satu penyakit masyarakat yang harus dihentikan penyebarannya tanpa mengabaikan usaha pencegahan dan perbaikannya. Mengatasi permasalahan Wanita Tuna Susila (WTS) Dinas Sosial Provinsi Sumatera Barat mendirikan suatu tempat rehabilitasi yakni Panti Sosial Karya Wanita Andam Dewi. Panti Sosial Karya Wanita Andam Dewi memiliki empat program rehabilitasi yakni bimbingan fisik, bimbingan keagamaan, bimbingan sosial (konseling) dan pelatihan keterampilan. Bimbingan sosial atau konseling dibimbing oleh konselor untuk membimbing dan mengarahkan klien dengan cara berkomunikasi secara interpersonal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pola Komunikasi Interpersonal melalui Rehabilitasi Sosial dengan pelaksanaan rehabilitas sosial melalui komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal antara konselor dan WTS di Panti Sosial Karya Wanita Andam Dewi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui wawancara dan observasi serta dokumentasi kepada pihak Panti Sosial Karya Wanita Andam Dewi. Teori yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu teori Penetresi Sosial. Terdapat konsep dalam teori Penetresi Sosial yaitu Interaksi, Penyusunan Pesan, Penyampaian Pesan. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada dua bentuk komunikasi interpersonal antara konselor dan WTS yaitu komunikasi verbal dan komunikasi nonverbal. Komunikasi verbal yang digunakan ialah menggunakan bahasa yang Sopan, penggunaan kata-kata yang lemah lembut dan mudah dimengerti. Sedangkan komunikasi nonverbal yang digunakan ialah gerakan tubuh, ekspresi wajah, sentuhan atau haptics, paralinguistik, kedekatan jarak dan penampilan.

Abstract

This study discusses "The Role of OSIS Activities in Improving Public Speaking Ability of MAN 1 Muba Students". The background of this research is due to the decrease in public speaking ability experienced by students of MAN 1 Muba which hinders students from presenting themselves in the school environment and outside of school. The purpose of this research is to find out the role of OSIS activities in improving the public speaking skills of MAN 1 MUBA students. The theory used in this research is Aristotle's Retrometric Theory and Da'wah Communication Accommodation Theory. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used in this study were documentation, interviews and observation techniques. Sources of research data were obtained through primary data obtained through observations and interviews conducted at MAN 1 MUBA, and secondary data obtained through websites, books, journals and other references related to the object of research, then analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques. The results of this study stated that the MAN 1 MUBA Student Council as a whole could carry out its role well through Public Speaking activities which had honed students' communication skills.

Abstract

Perkaderan dalam HMI (Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam) memegang peranan penting dalam membangun dan mengembangkan organisasi. Pola komunikasi dalam perkaderan HMI menjadi faktor kunci yang menentukan keberhasilan organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisisis pola komunikasi yang terjadi dalam perkaderan HMI dan bagaimana pola komunikasi tersebut mempengaruhi keberhasilan organisasi. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pola komunikasi Bintang (Star) yang dikemukakan oleh Jalaluddin Rakhmat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi partisipasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pola komunikasi dalam perkaderan HMI MPO Cabang Palembang darussalam menggunakan pola komunikasi bintang. Pola komunikasi ini mempengaruhi kinerja organisasi HMI, terutama dalam hal pengambilan keputusan dan koordinasi antar bagian. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menunjukan bahwa adanya budaya partisipasi dan dialog dalam perkaderan HMI MPO Cabang Palembag Darussalam sehingga dapat meningkatkan efektivasi pola komunikasi dan memperkuat hubungan antar kader. Dalam kesimpulannya, pola komunikasi yang efektif dan terbuka dapat meningkatkan keberhasilan organisasi HMI melalui peranannya dalam pengambilan keputusan dan koordinasi antar kader. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas pola komunikasi dalam perkaderan Hmi MPO Cabang Palembang Darussalam melalui dialog yang baik serta pengembangan kompetensi komunikasi antar kader
