Abstract

Bleberan Village is a tourist village developed by the Bleberan Village Government by carrying the concept of community-based tourism. This study aims to determine the management of community-based tourism in Bleberan Village and its impact on the dimensions of community life in Bleberan Village. The research approach used is qualitative with a case study method. Data collection methods include participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Determination of informants using purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques. Data analysis uses an interactive data analysis model. Data validity uses source triangulation. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it was concluded that the management of community-based tourism in Bleberan Village has been running quite well by referring to aspects of tourism management (attraction, accessibility, amenities, ancillary), principles of tourism development (social, economic, cultural, environmental, and political principles), and promotional efforts made. However, there are still many shortcomings, namely in facilities and infrastructure and facilities such as damaged road signs, the absence of vehicle rentals for tourists. Bleberan Tourism Village has also not collaborated with travel agents, and many souvenir craftsmen have not resumed production. Promotion efforts have not been intensified again. Efforts and support from various parties are needed, especially stakeholders, so that sustainable impacts are created in aspects of community life, namely in the social, economic, cultural, environmental, and political dimensions.

Abstract

This research analyzes the Ledek tradition as a ritual to ask for blessings and safety by the people of Dusun Doplang. One of the processions in this ritual, the community uses dancers called Ledek dancers as a symbol. The ritual is carried out once a year, on Friday Kliwon by the community, especially residents of Doplang Hamlet. By using qualitative research techniques, data were collected through documentation studies, observations, and in-depth interviews. Clifford Geertz's symbolic interpretation theory was used to examine the data. This study finds that the Ledek tradition still exists in Dusun Doplang and is still practiced by the community because it contains a number of symbolic elements and purposes that have an impact on the social structure of the Doplang hamlet community and encourage the Ledek tradition to continue. There are two symbolic reasons why the people of Dusun Doplang must continue to uphold the Ledek tradition: (1) As a symbol of friendship that strengthens togetherness, and (2) As a sign of tolerance, (3) The community needs to socialize. Then for its functions, namely as: (1) The function of safety, (2) The function of maintaining local wisdom, (3) The function of maintaining solidarity between communities.

Abstract

Aspect of accessibility and geographical contours. From the aspect of accessibility, Pandean Village is easy to access because it is passed by the route between Trenggalek-Pacitan Regencies. Meanwhile, from a geographical aspect, the Pandean Village area which has mountainous contours adds to the beauty and special features of Pandean Village. This research aims to exploit the development potential of Pandean Village as a tourist village based on a study of aspects of readiness and demand so as to be able to provide recommendations for the sustainable development of Pandean Village. The approach used in this study is a mixed method including qualitative methods to examine supply aspects, community characteristics, policies, and quantitative methods to examine tourism demand aspects. The results of the study show that Pandean Village has the potential to be developed as a sustainable tourism village. However, there are various problems in Pandean village such as convenience, information, support from the village government and institutions that are still new and a lack of knowledge in tourism development.

Abstract

Mutiara Beach is a tourist destination which opened in 2017 and was officially approved as a tourist destination in 2018. This research was conducted at Mutiara Beach tourism which is located in Tasikmadu Village, Watulimo District, Trenggalek Regency. This study aims to determine the impact of the management model on Mutiara Beach tourism and its impact on improving the community's economy from an Islamic economic perspective. This research was conducted at the Mutiara Beach tour which is located in Tasikmadu Village, Watulimo District, Trenggalek Regency. The research used a qualitative research approach with the case study method. Sources of data come from primary data and secondary data, data collection techniques are carried out by interviewing pearl beach tourism managers and documentation, and data analysis used by researchers is data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that 1) the Mutiara Beach tourism management model includes 4 aspects, namely planning, organizing, directing, and supervising a positive impact in improving the community's economy, namely increasing income and employment opportunities; 2) Mutiara Beach tourism uses a musyarakah contract in it’s management between the manager and Perhutani with agreed profit sharing provisions.

Abstract

Indonesia is characterized by its rich multicultural diversity, showcasing a myriad of tribes, cultures, religions, and breathtaking natural beauty that are ripe for exploration. The increasing public interest in leading a healthy and spiritually enriching lifestyle has elevated the role of halal tourism as a prominent industry. Islamic tourism, which adheres to sharia principles, not only offers engaging experiences for visitors but also significantly contributes to the economic empowerment of local communities. The sectors involved in halal tourism, such as hospitality, culinary, and local crafts, see a direct benefit from this growing market. This article explores the positive impacts that Islamic tourism has on enhancing local employment opportunities, boosting small businesses, and fostering cultural exchange. Furthermore, it addresses the challenges faced in promoting halal tourism, including the need for proper infrastructure, awareness among the local population about halal standards, and effective marketing strategies. By understanding these dynamics, stakeholders can work together to advance Islamic tourism in Indonesia, ensuring its sustainability and positive impact on the socio-economic landscape.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the cultural potential that can be used as cultural tourism in Balekambang Village, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative and uses an observation approach based on the 3A analysis theory and SWOT analysis theory. Based on the 3A analysis theory and SWOT analysis theory with data triangulation analysis techniques from interviews with key informants and supporters, the prominent cultural potential in Balekambang Village is traditional food culture, martial arts and cultural performances, history of a place, and religion. As for the results of the observation findings, there is a very strong religious culture, this is indicated by the many graves of religious figures or habibs in Balekambang Village and there are many assemblies, Islamic schools, and Islamic boarding schools. Then for the community itself, it has encouraged the traditional culture typical of Balekambang Village, such as making traditional food and then selling it, making batik products to forming tourism awareness groups or POKDARWIS. Meanwhile, for the local government, they have started to support their areas to become cultural tourism areas by forming cultural village programs and decorating their areas with Betawi decorations. With the results of the analysis and findings, Balekambang Village has the potential to be used as cultural-based tourism.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has ushered us into the Fourth Industrial Revolution, emphasizing digitalization, automation, artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and advanced data analytics. This technological evolution has fostered the rise of social media, platforms for interaction, sharing, and content creation. TikTok, a leading platform, has become a potent tool for businesses to promote products and services by posting high-quality content. This study explores how TikTok serves as a promotional avenue for the Taman Safari Prigen tourist attraction. Employing observation and interviews, the research reveals TikTok's capability to enhance brand awareness and attract visitors to Taman Safari Prigen, as highlighted by the AISAS analysis. The study emphasizes the stages of Search, Action, and Share as pivotal promotional opportunities.

Abstract

The richness of Osing culture in Kemiren Village has positioned this site as a notable cultural tourism destination. This article aims to: 1) describe the tourist attractions in the Osing Traditional Cultural Village of Kemiren, Banyuwangi; 2) identify sustainable tourism development in this village; and 3) analyze the challenges faced in achieving sustainable tourism. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative research approach, this study employs observation and interview techniques to gather data. Findings indicate that sustainable tourism development in Kemiren Village is progressing positively, evidenced by economic, socio-cultural, and environmental benefits. However, certain obstacles persist, posing challenges to further advancements in sustainable tourism growth.

Abstract

The city of Surabaya has a variety of tourist attractions ranging from natural tourism, religious tourism, culinary tourism and historical tourism. This city, which is nicknamed the city of heroes, is known for its historical tourism, one of which is De Javasche Bank Surabaya. De Javasche Bank is a cultural heritage that preserves the history of finance and banking in Indonesia. This attraction was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To increase tourist visits again, De Javasche Bank is making tourism promotion efforts through Instagram social media. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation which will then be explained descriptively. The research results show that De Javasche Bank, through the @de_javaschebank_surabaya account, has actively promoted its appeal on Instagram by utilizing the feeds, stories, reels, captions and hashtag features. In utilizing this feature, De Javasche Bank creates and uploads interesting and educational content.

Abstract

The Indonesian tourism industry explores its cultural wealth through the concept of village tourism, a potential that reflects the beauty and authenticity of the local community's life. As a concrete example, Alamendah Village Tourism can leverage its tourism potential to enhance the local economy. Thus, in this context, the research focuses on analyzing how Alamendah Village Tourism recognizes the tourism potential that can improve the economic sustainability of the local community in Alamendah Village. The research employs qualitative research methods as it seeks to understand how Alamendah Village Tourism identifies the tourism potential in its village to enhance the economic sustainability of the local community in Alamendah Village. The results and discussions depict the tourism potential, which is the excellent and admirable human resources in Alamendah Village, creating strategic opportunities to strengthen the local economy with sustainability as the main focus. Therefore, sustainable development is not only about economic growth but also about a wise balance between economic benefits, environmental conservation, and the empowerment of the local community.
