Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of service quality consisting of tangibles, empathy, reliability, responsiveness and assurance variables on student satisfaction from a business school in Surakarta partially and simultaneously. The population in this study were students of STIE Surakarta consisting of accounting and management study programs with categories of morning class, evening class and also alumni. The number of samples using the slovin formula is 96 respondents using non-probability sampling method. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis using the SPSS 21 program. The results of the study show that partially the reliability and assurance service quality variables have a significant effect on student satisfaction at STIE Surakarta, while tangibles, empathy and responsiveness variables have no significant effect on satisfaction. STIE Surakarta students. And the results simultaneously show that service quality significantly influences student satisfaction at STIE Surakarta.

Abstract

Mining design is part of the planning stages of mining as a very important factor is determined before the actual mining plan begins. CV. Kutai Kumala Energy is a company engaged in coal mining which has a Mining Business License located in Loa Kulu District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan Province. On CV. Kutai Kumala Energy pit BC was calculated with the aim of meeting the overburden of 5,095,565.38 BCM and the coal stripping target of 673,541.31 MT. In determining production targets for 1 year and in accordance with the capabilities of the tools at the research location.

Abstract

Kimpul taro (Xanthosoma sagittifolium) has a very high starch content of 68.50%. The starch content of taro taro can be used as an additive in the pharmaceutical field. The drying temperature used for the manufacture of taro kimpul starch must be precise and provide good pharmaceutical properties according to requirements. Tests for the physical properties of starch carried out in this study were identification tests, organoleptic tests, microscopic tests, drying shrinkage tests and pH tests. The test results show that the test helps produce a blue color, the organoleptic test produces starch that is white, odorless, and tasteless, with a microscopic round shape, has a hilum in the middle and lamellae that are not very clear, the drying temperature with an oven affects the physical properties starch. Increasing the drying temperature results in an increase in pH, and a decrease in the drying rate of milk.

Abstract

Composites are a combination of two or more different materials and their properties to form new materials that have better characteristics. The composite was previously composed of activated claystone, activated zeolite, and coconut shell activated charcoal with 3 ratios, namely: (claystone [C] : zeolite [Z] : activated charcoal [A] = 60:20:20; 20:20:60; and 20:60:20. This composite acts as an adsorbent in the adsorption process of acid mine water samples. Based on the results of the adsorption test, it was concluded that the composite cannot neutralize the pH of acid mine water. Of the three types of composites, Composite A (claystone [C] : zeolite [Z] : activated charcoal [A] = 60:20:20) showed a significant influence with a decrease in the concentration of heavy metals Iron and Manganese within 30 min of contact time. Fe adsorption capacity is 20,7 mg/g and Mn is 24,3 mg/g.

Abstract

Starch is a polysaccharide carbohydrate which has inert, so it’s widely used as an excipient in the pharmaceutical industry. Starch is found in many organs in plants that serve as place to store the food reserves, one of which is the cocoyam (Xanthosoma sagittifolium), which in its tubers contains about 36% starch with quite high amylose and amylopectin content, namely 15.4% and 81.5%. The length of drying time results in different physical characteristics of starch, so it takes the right time to produce good physical characteristics of starch and according to requirements. The evaluation tests were carried to find out the physical characteristics of cocoyam, namely organoleptic test, identification test, microscopic test, water content test, and pH test. The result obtained that 1 day drying time can produce starch with good physical characteristics and according to requirements.
