Abstract

This research aims to examine the differences of pre and post merger and acquisition on firm’s performance at Indonesia Stock Exchange. Firm performance is measured using some financial ratios, which are ROA (return on assets), ROE (return on equity), NPM (net profit margin), DR (debt ratio), EPS (earning per share), PER (price earning ratio),TATO (total asset turnover). The samples in this study were 26 manufacturing companies that were taken by purposive sampling method. The analysis used to test the hypothesis of this research is quantitative analysis with statistical methods of data normality test, Paired sample t-test and Wilcoxon signed rank test. The results from the Paired sample t-test and Wilcoxon signed rank test shows that there are no significant difference in testing 2 years before with 2 years after M&A for DR, PER, and TATO in acquiring firm, ROA, ROE, DR, EPS, PER, and TATO in acquired firm, ROA, ROE, NPM, DR, EPS, and PER in surviving firm. There are also significant difference in testing 2 years before with 2 years after for ROA, ROE, NPM, and EPS in acquiring firm, and TATO in surviving firm. These variables should be examined in a longer period of time in order to have better results.

Abstract

In an increasingly tight business competition today, companies must have a competitive advantage compared to other companies. One of the benefits that should be owned by companies that qualified human resources. Seeing the importance of human resources in a company, it is expected that the company does not regard the employees as a factor of production. Thus the company must pay tribute to the work of employees in addition to the basic salary incentives in the form of material and non-material incentives in order to motivate employees to work more productively. Samples were employees of the sales department. The sampling method is done by non-probability sampling. While the sample selection technique is purposive sampling. Methods of data collection is done by interview and observation. Data analysis techniques performed by the correlation coefficient. Hypothesis testing results show that there is a relationship between the incentives to labor productivity.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to examine empirically whether the size firm, type of industry, profitability, environmental performance, and media exposure are giving effect to Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure in manufacturing companies, which listed at Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample of this research is manufacturing companies, which listed at Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on 2011-2013. The number of samples used 32 companies that have been selected based on some sample selection criteria. The selection of the samples is using purposive sampling. Then, those kinds of elements are tested using multiple regression. The result of this research have been identified that there are significant effect between size firm (UP) and type of industry (TI) to corporate social responsibility disclosure. Meanwhile profitability (PROFIT), environmental performance (KL) and media exposure (ME) are not giving significant effect to corporate social responsibility disclosure on manufacturing companies, which listed at Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

Abstract

Food is a primary need for every living, with many processed ingredients, such as vegetables, fruits, meats, seafood, etc.. Many entrepreneurs have so many different ways to process, such as cooked western style, Japan, Indonesia, etc.. With the large variety of recipes, of course, made ​​so many restaurants are popping up, but not all restaurants can survive. The high competition, limited capital, the quality of food served, until the service provided is a key influence on the success of a restaurant. By doing similar research as practiced by Ryu, et al. (2011), the authors also take the Chinese food restaurant for examination: Restaurant Masakan Tio ciu Akai 45 branches Muara Karang is the study subjects. By spreading the questionnaire to 50 respondents and the data processed with PASW 18.00, by using multiple regression analysis, the result is known that quality of the physical environment as independent variable (X1), food (X2), and service (X3) have a significant effect on restaurant image (Y). With the linear regression equation is Y = 0.226 + 0.528 (X1) + 0.062 (X2) + 0.348 (X3).

Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of the price, location and quality of education to the decision of parent to choose the education services and the effect of price, location and quality of education together against the decision of parents to choose the education services on SDIT Ulul Albab Tambun . The population in this study , are all employees of parents who send their chindren to SDIT Ulul Albab totaling 715 people.Metode that is used in determining the number of samples , is to use the formula slovin , so the number of samples in the can , is 88 people . The data used in this study , is a primary data obtained from respondents to the questionnaire , or answer questions about the price, location and quality of education.Hypothesis testing regression showed a significant influence on the price of the decision of parent to choose the education services where t count > t table 5,582 > 1,988 or research hypothesis H1 is accepted .Hypothesis testing regression showed a significant influence on the location of the decision of parent to choose the education services where t count > t table 9,224 > 1,988 or research hypothesis H2 is accepted .Hypothesis testing regression showed a significant influence on the quality of education to the decision of parent to choose the education services where t count > t table 10,094 > 1,988 or research hypothes is H3 is accepted.Multiple regression hypothesis testing X1 X2 X3 on Y indicates there is a positive and significant effect of the price, loction and quality of education to the decision of parent to choose the education services in which F count > Ftable 128,952 > 2,713 or research hypothesis H4 is accepted.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of public perception, brand image and Qulaity services to buying interest at PT. Asuransi Raksa Pratikara Jakarta. The research method is descriptive qualitative research method, the data collection is done by using a questionnaire to respondents, insurance customers Raksa Pratikara. Hipotesis used are Ho1 hypothesis, allegedly there is influence between the public perception of the insurance buying interest . Ho2 hypothesis, Allegedly there is the influence of brand image with the insurance buying interest. Ho3, Allegedly there is influence between services with insurance buying interest raksa. Model of analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis by SPSS-17 approach in processing the data. From these results it can be concluded that partial public perception, brand image and service positive and significant impact on the insurance buying interest Raksa Pratikara. R Square value of 0.65 which means that the influence of variable public perception, brand image and service affect the insurance buying interest by 65 percent and the remaining 35 percent influenced by other factors. In partial assay results t1 count is greater than t table which means that people's perceptions significantly influence buying interest insurance, test results t2 count is greater than t table which means the brand image significantly influence buying interest insurance Raksa Pratikara and t3 count is greater than t table service which means a significant effect on the insurance buying interest Raksa Pratikara.

Abstract

This study is to conduct test of the long term equilibrium among macroeconomic variables to Jakarta Islamic Index. This study employs co-integration model and error correction model (ECM). The results of this study use unit roots by using Augmented Dickey Fuller method indicate that original data is non stationary, and stationary at first difference. After conducting causality and co-integration test can be concluded that error correction model need to be done and the result is valid. For the long term equilibrium, Error correction model is more capable in explaining if among macroeconomic variables to Jakarta Islamic Index there is causality relationship and simultaneous significantly.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan dari variabel lingkungan kerja dan variabel otivasi terhadap variabel kinerja karyawan. Objek penelitian ini adalah salah satu perusahaan di industri otomotif dengan studi kasus PT. Mitsubishi Krama Yudha Motors and Manufacturing. Responden yang menjadi sampel analisis ini sebanyak 92 orang, cross section dan alat analisis yang dipakai adalah SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Lingkungan Kerjasangat kuat, searah dan signifikan dengan Motivasi karyawan. Lingkungan Kerja memiliki hubungan yang kuat, dan signifikan dengan Kinerja Karyawan. Motivasi memiliki hubungan yang kuat dan signifikan dengan Kinerja Karyawan. Pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara Lingkungan Kerja terhadap Motivasi dan dampaknya pada Kinerja Karyawan. Jika dibandingkan pengaruh Motivasi lebih kuat dibandingkan dengan pengaruh Lingkungan Kerja terhadap Kinerja Karyawan saja. Ini berarti jika ingin meningkatkan image perusahaan, perusahaan harus mendorong Motivasi pekerja yang positif melalui penerapan Lingkungan Kerja yang menyenangkan sehingga akan berdampak pada hasil kerja.

Abstract

This research is performed in order to test the influence of variable, Fixed Asset Ratio (FAR), Likuiditas (CR), Retained Earning (RE) and Return On Asset (ROA), on Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), comparation company in the BEI LQ 45 during period 2011-2014. Methodology research as the sample used purposive sampling with criteria as (1). The Company listed to the BEI LQ45 during research period (2011- 2014); (2). The Company always showed financial report during research period (2011-2014); (3). Having complete data which suitable for the research. The data based on publicity ICMD since 2011-2014. Analysis technic with multilinier regression of polled data and hypotheses test used t-statisic and f-statistic at level of significance 5%. Results of analysis showed that the predictive ability of the four independent variables (FAR, CR, RE, ROA) is 55.2% and it shown by adjusted R2value. Based on the test statistic F indicates that the variables FAR, CR, RE ROA simultantly affect DER on companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2011-2014 because has a significance value less than 5% of Alpha value. Meanwhile, based on statistical t test showed that the ROA and RE is negative and significant impact of DER because it has a significance value less than 5% of Alpha value.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of education and work experiences to employee performance at PT. Global Informasi Bermutu. Descriptive quantitative research methods by using statistical correlation an multiple regression with the aim of analyzing the effect of the two independent variables (Education and Work Experiences) on the dependent variable (Employee Performance). The sample used was an employee of employees as much as 240 respondents who made a sample random determination. The result research showed that from the analysis are known, also demonstrated from regression technique and significance, which states that both partially and jointly a positive and significant of employee performance. From two independent variables, the education has the most dominant influence on employee performance.
