The mission of the International Journal of Literature and Language Studies (IJLLS) is to provide readers with the development of language studies in linguistics and literature. In addition to manuscripts that center on the study, we welcome manuscripts on a wide range of topics relating to the technology used for language development, cultural impact on languages, computational linguistics, and philosophy of language. IJLLS publishes scholarly conceptual, theoretical, and empirical manuscripts on the study of language and focused on literature and linguistic analysis and development. Submissions to the journal should be readable and understandable by a wide audience. Manuscripts should therefore also focus on analysis or illustration of the issues covered, rather than merely providing a mathematical or technical coverage, which would be more suitable for a specialist journal. All manuscripts are submitted and reviewed electronically. We provide our published authors with both a quality publication and the widespread readership that comes from publishing all manuscripts online within a few weeks of acceptance. This approach ensures that published works are read and cited by the widest possible audience.

Abstract

This study provides an expanded structural, semantic, and typological analysis of suffixal derivation in adjectival units of linguistic terminology. The research examines how derivational suffixes (-ic, -ical, -al, -ive, -ous, -ary) function as systematic tools for encoding scientific meaning in English linguistic terminology and how similar semantic functions are realized in Uzbek through affixation and lexical borrowing. The study further explores the cognitive and systemic role of adjectival terminology in scientific discourse formation. Using qualitative descriptive, comparative, and typological methods, the paper demonstrates that suffixation is not merely a morphological process but a fundamental epistemological mechanism shaping scientific categorization. The findings highlight that English exhibits high morphological productivity in adjectival derivation, while Uzbek relies on a hybrid model of affixation and loan adaptation, resulting in structurally different but functionally equivalent terminological systems.

Abstract

The present study offers a theoretical and scientific examination of axiological evaluation, framing it as a crucial category within linguistic analysis. It sheds light on the mechanisms underlying the formation of positive and negative evaluative meanings through various linguistic units, detailing their semantic, pragmatic, and cognitive characteristics. Additionally, the paper explores the contribution of value-based assessments to the construction of the linguistic worldview, highlighting their deep-rooted connections to national-cultural factors and their influence on the conceptual framework of language users. By analyzing concrete examples, the research investigates the manifestation of evaluative components across multiple linguistic tiers—specifically lexical, phraseological, and syntactic—and identifies their communicative and pragmatic roles. Ultimately, the findings substantiate the integral position of the axiological category within the language system and its vital function in shaping conceptual structures within the linguistic picture of the world.

Abstract

This article systematically investigates the mechanisms and structural modeling involved in developing the communicative competence of future teachers through a reflexive approach. In modern higher pedagogical education, shifting from a traditional knowledge-based paradigm to a competence-oriented framework requires future educators to possess not only linguistic and pedagogical skills but also deep-rooted socio-psychological agility. This study delineates the structural components—cognitive, motivational, operational, and reflexive—and establishes distinct criteria for assessing reflexive-communicative competence. Furthermore, the paper analyzes the internal psychological mechanisms (identification, empathy, self-analysis) and external pedagogical mechanisms (feedback loops) that accelerate this development. A comprehensive pedagogical model designed for higher education institutions is introduced, showing how structured reflective practices optimize communicative efficacy. The findings suggest that integrating structured reflexive practices into the curriculum significantly enhances pedagogical interaction and professional self-awareness.
